The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 238

Blair POV

She had brought this on herself. She had known the consequences. She wasn't some naive young girl. She was an adult woman with the power of an Alpha or Luna at her fingertips. With power comes the responsibility to use it wisely. To better your pack and the life they lead. To be aware of the laws and uphold the traditions. She had gone against the laws, not once but several times. She wasn't innocent. She wasn't by any means. Brynn was not some victim to admire or champion.

She began to cackle at the pack who stared at her with disgust on their faces. "You, all of you" she breathed, pointing with restrained hands as we stood there, looking at her "You're all going to die. I will haunt you all until the day you die. You will never know any rest. [wpdiscuz-feedback id="bs2trc06u7" question="Please leave a feedback on this" opened="1"]JOBNIB.COM asking for your feedback on this Chapter.[/wpdiscuz-feedback] I will come for you. I will come for your children" she screamed out wildly, as the guards began to drag her onto the ground, her legs kicking and flailing, her eyes staring at the sky as the pack looked at each other in shock "I will make this pack cursed and doomed for eternity. You will never know any peace" she shrieked, as the guards held her down, one holding her legs, the other holding her arms, careful to avoid the silver that gripped her wrists and the shackles around her legs.

Some of the women in the pack looked terrified. I stepped forward. "Brynn Ryker, you are guilty of the crimes against you. Do you have any last words before the punishment is brought against you?" I asked out loud.

Time to end all the nonsense she was babbling. The vile insults she was spewing. She could scream out anything she liked, I was not afraid of her. It was all for show. I could sense her distress from here. She was afraid and she was doing everything she could to try and talk or scream her way out of it. But it wasn't going to work this time.

Her eyes slid to me. "I wish I'd killed you properly," she said unexpectedly, causing the pack to gasp out loud "I wish your children had died. I wish you nothing but misery in this life, Blair. I hope you feel nothing but pain and that your life is full of nothing but sorrow and hardship. I hope your children die in battle" she cried out, tugging and bucking wildly as the guards clenched their jaws and pushed her back down "I hope you rot in hell for this you b***h" she screamed.

"Nice last words Brynn. But if anybody is going to hell today, it's you" I told her unsympathetically "So if that's all you have to say, then let's get on with this, shall we" I added, shaking my head at her.

She kicked out, hitting one of the warriors in the leg, causing him to drop his hold. She bit the hand of the other warrior, but I stepped up and kicked her hard in the ribcage, causing her to cry out and still. I nodded to the warriors who warily took up their positions again. Braedon looked at me. "Blair, I can do this, there's no need for you to take up the role of executioner," he said softly, as the pack looked on in awe.

I shook my head "I denied my claim to her bloodline, I need to show that I mean my words" I told him, kneeling down beside Brynn and looking at her dumbly.

I hardened my heart. It was not the time to falter. It was not the time to soften or forgive. What little I did feel for her vanished as I gazed upon her face, the face of the girl who had tormented and abused me for years. Something in me died completely. The look in Brynn's eyes said she realized it, and she renewed her attempts to get away. I silently held up my hand, allowing my nails to grow into claws. Brynn looked terrified. I c****d my head. The blood had drained from her face.

"May the moon goddess grant your wolf a human more deserving in the next life" I whispered, feeling regret for the wolf about to lose their life, truly undeserving of the punishment earned by its human form.

"f**k you" Brynn began to scream, the words becoming strangled as I plunged my hand deep into her chest, my claws gouging deep, grasping hold of her heart which continued to beat, right until the moment I pulled it out of her chest. She went still, blood pouring out of her chest, while I held the heart in my hand, watching the light go out of her eyes. I felt nothing. The pack was silent. I dropped the heart onto the floor beside Brynn's deceased body and a warrior quietly handed me a towel for me to wipe my hand on. I wiped it carefully, feeling Braedon's worried eyes on me. I had just killed what was supposedly my sister, by my own hand. It was ironic and yet, it was justice at its finest.

"The execution is now complete," I said, standing up and calmly going back to Braedon's side "You have all bore witness. Please resume your normal duties and be secure in the knowledge that justice was served today. My heart goes out to the victims of Brynn's crimes and while I know that this will not make up for her actions, I pray it brings you a tiny bit of peace, knowing that she's no longer able to hurt you anymore."

Her victims nodded, their eyes silently thanking me. The pack quietly began to disperse. Braedon's arms went around me. I avoided looking at Brynn as warriors tentatively began to drag her away.

"I want her ashes," I told them suddenly, the warriors halting in their tracks, a look of confusion on their faces "Not for myself," I told Braedon, looking up at him "but for the sake of my father. I may not mourn her death, but she was his daughter and he must be hurting. I did not grant him his ex-mate's ashes, but this time, I can do this one thing for him, which will mean a lot to him. He should have something that he can hold onto and something he can look at when he grieves his loss of her" I said softly.

"You have a kind heart, Blair," Braedon said softly, embracing me tightly "Your father will appreciate you thinking of him."

I exhaled, holding onto him. I sensed that Sierra and James had gone, along with Sarah, leaving us both alone for a moment.

"Let's go and check on my father. I suspect our babies were a welcome distraction to him, but nothing is going to prevent the sound of her screams from reaching him" I said grimly "And while he has not been the best father to me, I know how much he loved Brynn. I have high hopes that he will be the best grandfather I've ever seen, considering how much time he spends with little Senna and Jaxon" I mused.

"You just had to name the babies after Sierra and James didn't you" Braedon said with a sigh.

I looked at him "Sierra is a friend and so is James. Next time it will be Josie's turn and then Sarah's."

He looked at me askance "How many children are you planning on having?"

I laughed, the somber mood breaking as joy swept through me "As many as you're willing to give me" I said eyeing him under my eyelashes.

He smirked.
