The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 230

Blair POV

But there was more pain to come. A searing pain in my lower stomach. I felt the tears trailing down my cheeks. This was not how I had anticipated giving birth. This was not how I had planned it at all. Braedon squeezed my hand as I felt myself becoming weary. The doctor was carefully checking me and then she spoke. "I'm sorry Blair, but you still have one more to birth."

Her voice was soft, silky, and apologetic. I stared upwards, taking comfort in the sky and the warmth of the sun. I could do this, I tried to tell myself. I had to do this. I would not let my child die. Not at Brynn's hand. I would not let her win. My child was depending on me to pull through for her. I was stronger than this. I was braver than this. No matter what, I wasn't about to let my baby down. "Do it" I said, my voice a hushed whisper "Do what needs to be done and hurry" I pleaded, the doctor nodding, a grim expression on her face.

Time was of the essence and we all knew it. Braedon's blood had strengthened me, enough that I wasn't dead yet, but at this rate, it was only a matter of time until I lost too much blood. I tensed, feeling the doctor's hand press on my stomach. I wanted to scream, but my voice was hoarse and my throat was sore. All I could do was stare blankly upwards and pray, before I felt the squeeze, the push as my child was drawn out of me, hearing a little cry as Braedon let go of my hands, the doctor pushing our little girl into his arms as he held her with a look of awe on his face. The doctor had a bag on her and she rifled through it quickly. "I'm going to sew you up until that wound begins to heal. King Braedon's blood should sustain you, and if we can get some blood transfusions into you, it will strengthen and heal you quicker. But I need to stitch you up before we can even think of moving you."

I nodded tiredly. "The babies?" I asked.

Her lips curved into a smile "Your babies are fine. Although they are a little premature, their lungs are healthy and they appear to be in perfect health. The stress of being kidnapped must have put you into early labor" she advised me.

The stitches in comparison to being cut, were barely noticeable. Braedon and Sierra knelt next to me so that I could see our children. Both of them possessed the same-looking hair, much like mine, brown with gold highlights. Their eyes were a beautiful icy blue color and their little pudgy hands waved wildly in the air. Our baby girl began to cry in earnest and the doctor chuckled.

"She's hungry," she said tsking "but that will have to wait until we get back to the pack house. I'm afraid after what the Luna Queen has been through, that she's too weak to breastfeed and the children will require formula."

"That means I get to help feed them," Sierra said delightedly.

I watched her bounce the baby up and down slowly and carefully, a smile on her face.

I felt envious as I closed my eyes.

"Brynn" I mumbled "Where's Brynn?"

Braedon gave a low growl "The little b***h ran for it. Your father and James ran after her, but given she's on neutral territory and not our own..." he trailed off.

I didn't need him to fill in the blanks. It was likely that Brynn had managed to get away with what she had done once again. The knowledge rankled. When was Brynn going to get her comeuppance? When was Karma going to come for her? Sure enough, there came the sounds of footsteps and then James's voice. "She got away."

Braedon swore. My father's voice "She'll make a mistake, don't worry about it."

"Are those my grandchildren?" my father asked in a shaky voice and I looked to see Braedon handing over our daughter.
