The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 86

Felicity POV.

Just as he was about to strike, a loud roar filled the air, and a massive dragon appeared out of nowhere. It swooped down, its claws grabbing Zephyr and lifting him high into the air. And then, with a final roar, it dropped him off the cliff, his screams echoing into the abyss.

We all stood there, stunned, as the dragon disappeared into the clouds. We had survived, but at a terrible cost. Two of our companions were dead, and we were left to continue our journey with heavy hearts and a newfound sense of danger. "Ooh my God what just happened?" Agent Brown exclaimed still in shock.

we were all still in shock, I personally could not believe it, I pinched myself to check if I was not dreaming, and it was the case, all this had really happened.

"It was a dragon," whispered Ava, her eyes wide with wonder and fear.

"A dragon? But those don't exist, do they?" asked Agent Collins skeptically.

"They do now," replied Kyle solemnly. "We have to be more careful from now on. We can't let our guard down again."

I stood there, holding my baby tightly in my arms, watching as Maximus stumbled towards me, injured and bleeding from his shoulder.

My heart filled with joy and gratitude that he was alive. I ran towards him, my baby in my arms, tears streaming down my face. He smiled weakly at me and I knew he was in a lot of pain, despite this, I could feel all my emotions come to surface.

But as he reached me, he collapsed on the floor. Ava, Agent Brown, Agent Kim, and Molly rushed over to help him, while Kyle and Adrian watched from the sidelines, their expressions unreadable. I could only focus on Maximus, my love, the father of my baby, and I prayed that he would be okay.

I could see the disapproving looks on Kyle and Adrian's faces. I knew they didn't like Maximus, but I didn't care. He was the love of my life and the father of my child, and I would do anything to save him.

"Molly, please help him," I pleaded, my voice trembling with fear. "I don't want to lose him." Molly, the nurse of our group, quickly took out the medicine box, and we all watched as she tended to Maximus's wound.

I could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on me as I looked at Maximus lying on the floor, his face contorted in pain. I couldn't lose him, not now, not ever. As I held my baby close to my chest, I knew that I had to stay strong for him, for all of us.

As we waited for Maximus to wake up I sat by his side, holding his hand and whispering love words to him. I knew we had a long and difficult journey ahead of us, but as long as we had each other, we could make it through anything.

Looking around at my companions, I could see the fear and worry etched on their faces. We had already lost two of our own, and I didn't want to lose anyone else

Molly was trying to revive him, but nothing seemed to work. I watched, helpless and scared, as she tried everything she could to help him. I didn't want to live in a world without him.

As Molly finally declared that Maximus was gone, my world shattered.

"No, no, no!" I cried out in agony, distraught.

I couldn't believe it. Maximus, the love of my life and the father of my child, was gone. Molly had tried everything in her power to revive him, but it was too late. I was in shock as I watched her give up, tears streaming down her face.

Ava, who I had yet to forgive, approached me and wrapped her arms around me,trying to comfort me as I collapsed onto the ground.. "I'm so sorry, Felicity," she whispered. "I know how much he meant to you."

I didn't say anything, I just cried. I couldn't believe that Maximus, who had always been so full of life, was gone.

"We have to get the baby out of here," Ava said, taking the baby from me and holding him close, trying to comfort him as he too cried.

Kyle came over and hugged me. "I'm so sorry for your loss."

I couldn't control myself. The pain of losing Maximus was too much to bear. I lay down next to him, grabbing onto his lifeless body and shaking him, shouting his name and begging him to wake up. "Please, don't leave me. Don't leave our baby," I cried.

The others stood around us, helpless and overwhelmed. Adrian came up to me and wrapped his arms around me, trying to comfort me. "I'm so sorry for your loss, Felicity. We're all here for you," he said softly.

I couldn't even bring myself to respond. All I could do was cry and shake Maximus, hoping beyond hope that he would somehow come back to me. It was like a nightmare that I couldn't wake up from.

In that moment, all I could think about was how much I loved Maximus and how much I was going to miss him. The pain was so intense that it was almost physical. I wished more than anything that he could come back to me, but I knew deep down that he was gone forever.

"He can't be gone," I said through sobs. "Maximus, please wake up!"

"He's gone, Feli," Molly said softly. "We have to accept it."

Her words felt like a punch in the gut, and the pain was immense. "I can't...I can't do this without him."

"We'll be here for you," Ava said, rubbing my back.

"You don't understand," I said, the tears streaming down my face. "He was my everything. How can I go on without him?"

"You have to," Adrian said firmly. "For yourself and for the baby. We'll help you, but you have to be strong."

I stayed there, by his side, crying, unable to accept that he was gone.

With a heavy heart, I gently took the defibrillator from Molly's trembling hands and placed it on Maximus's chest. Urgently calling out his name, I pleaded for him to awaken, but alas, it was the final curtain call. I collapsed on his chest and cried all the tears in my body.
