The Hunter Becomes the Hunted

That night as Leanna slept, he entered her cell and knelt on the floor in front of her, he would dream walk and finally make her his

“plum bare vis” he said and was in her dream, Charlie walked around the house that they had shared together and found Leanna in their bed, he laid done next to her in the dream, he also sat up close to her in the cell to make it seem more real, he put his arms round her both in the dream and in the cell

“you have cold hands baby” she mumbled half asleep

“I am sorry my love, I have only just got back, I was out hunting” He replied

“I am sure we can change that” Leanna said turning over

“that we can” said Charlie holding her tightly and that was when her first noticed something odd, in her dream she was pregnant, why was Leanna dreaming about this thought Charlie

“how did it go?” Leanna asked

“same as always, saw the evil and I killed the evil” Charlie replied “what about you?” he asked

“training and waiting for you, we have missed you” Leanna replied and kissed him

“I am here now” Charlie replied and started to kiss her, he knew that she would bite his neck, she always did, it was sort of there thing, it turned out that she had don’t it the previous days because she knew what he was doing but she was dreaming and would do it, drinking his blood would allow him to control her, you see a vampire can control anyone that drinks there blood, she bite into his neck without even realising, as soon as the blood touched her lips, she could feel herself change and woke with a start pushing him away

“what have you done?” she asked

“made you mine and I have made you the monster that you always feared that you would become” Charlie laughed

“but” was all she managed to say before her eyes went completely black and she was under his control

“you will answer my question” Charlie said

“yes” she replied

“why were you pregnant in the dream?” Charlie asked

“why do you think I am different” she replied

“I have no idea” said Charlie

“it was not only you that I lost that night” Leanna said and began to cry

“what?” Charlie asked

“it was our child that made me the way I am” Leanna replied

“and you didn’t tell me” he shouted

“there was never a right time, I tried so many times to tell you and then you went and got yourself captured” she replied “it was something you were never meant to know” she added

“you truly are a monster going to fight carrying my child, you should have left me to die” Charlie said

“I could not let you die, I loved you too much” she replied

“you will suffer now” he said

“you cannot make me suffer any more than I have done for the last four-hundred-and-forty years” she said

“I can and I will make you suffer more” Charlie said and walked from the cell, fir the next few days he visited her daily and made her drink his blood so, that he could put her deeper under his control, the next night she was brought to the hall again and put in front of the king

“you will fight” he said smiling at Leanna, she did not want to fight but she had no choice, it was killing her inside that she could not control her own body but there was nothing that she could do about it this was her life now, the big man stepped forward, this time when he attacked she defended herself and attacked back, within moments she had him pinned to the floor and looked back at him

“go ahead, drain him” Charlie laughed knowing that she would hate it and with tears running down her face, she did as she was told and sunk her teeth into his neck, draining him of all his blood so that he could not heal, Jack was standing next to the king and looked terrified, this was not the person he had known, this was the monster she feared that she would become, Jack turned to the king

“what have you done to her?” Jack asked

“made her mine and made her better” the king replied

“being like that is better” he said looking at Leanna

“better for me and I thought that you did not care” the king said

“I do not but how did you break her? She is the strongest person I have ever met” Jack said

“because I am better” the king replied

“ok” was all Jack said not sure how he felt about seeing Leanna this way

Leanna was taken back to herself but this time she was not put back into the chains, she was now under his control and would not try anything, Leanna cried herself to sleep that night, ever since she had turned drinking blood was the one thing that she swore she would never do but now she did not have a choice, the next night Leanna was brought to the hall and was put up against four of them

“kill them all” the king said to Leanna and watched on smiling as she started to fight “isn’t this fun” he added looking at Jack

“but she I killing your kind” Jack said

“to be honest Jack, there are a few too many of us, as long as I am being entertained, she can trim the pack down for me” the king replied

“does she have a choice” Jack asked

“none at all” Charlie replied smiling

“can she feel?” Jack asked “is she still there?” he added

“yes, Jack, she can feel every bit of what is happening and it is killing her, she does not want to do any of it but she has no choice, she is under my control, she has to do whatever I tell her, I have turned her into the monster that she has acted like all of her life” the king said laughing “she I broken beyond repair and pretty soon she will retreat into her own mind and be only what I want her to be, the part of her that was still human will soon be gone” he added smiling at Jack

“why would you want his?” Jack asked

“because it is what she deserves” the king replied

Jack didn’t say another word, just turned back to watch her fighting, Leanna did not hide what she was, like she had done the whole time they had been travelling together, she was fighting as the vampire that she had hidden inside of her, the strength she had was unbelievable, when Chloe had told him that blood would give her extra strength he did not realise she meant that much and he did not believe but watching her now, rip the heart out of one of the vampires chest’s like it was made of jelly, he certainly did believe now

After the fight Leanna was not taken away, instead she went and sat between Jack and the king, Jack tried to get her attention but the king was talking to her

“well done” he was saying “you are better than I could have ever hoped” he added Leanna turned away from the king and Jack could see that she was crying, there were tears running down her face

“what are you doing?” Jack asked

“as I said just now Jack, she is mine and will not answer you, unless I say she can” the king said and then looked at Leanna “go ahead, you can answer him” he said “what are you doing?” Jack asked again

“does it matter” she replied

“this is not you” he replied

“what do you are? You don’t know who I am remember, I am the monster that you told me I was” Leanna replied still crying

Jack really did not know what to say to her because she was right, that was exactly what he had called her “this is not you” he said eventually “you are not this monster” he added

“I am and I always will be this monster and nothing is ever going to change that” she replied to Jack and she turned to the king “I want to leave” she said to the king

“why do you want to leave?” the king asked smiling

“I cannot stand to be around this stupid human any longer” she replied

“play nice he works for me and you cannot talk to him like that” the king said

“I am just tired” she said and looked at Jack “i did not mean to be rude, I am sorry” she said to him

“sorry who?” the king asked laughing, he was trying to get her to say his name

“sorry Jack” she said with tears in her eyes and so much sadness, that Jack had only seen once before

“yes, you can go, you have been very entertaining, we will see you tomorrow for more fun” he said

Leanna left the hall full of sadness about what she had become but it was over, she could not fight this, she went to sleep crying again, the next night she was called to the hall again, this time everyone was already waiting for her

“tonight, I have something different for you, you will punish these humans, who have not been very good” the king said smiling and there in the centre of the room was a group of six humans, two of them were children, Leanna did not move forward, she looked back at him, with a look in her eyes that said please don’t make me do this

“do it now” the king shouted smiling because he knew she had no choice, he was still feeding her blood, no matter how much she hated what she was doing, she had no choice, Jack was standing at the kings side watching as Leanna killed the humans, the woman and children she finished quickly without a mess but the men stood and fought, they were drained of their blood by order of the king, once it was over Leanna walked back to her cell, after all he had not commanded her to stay

The next three nights were the same, more humans that the king decided needed to be punished, yes some of them had done things wrong back but mainly it was because he wanted to watch her suffer as she killed the humans that she had sworn to protect, on the fourth night when jack walked into the hall, Leanna was already at the kings side and he saw Alex on his knees in the middle of the room

“deal with this fool, for helping you escape” the king said

“Charlie please” Alex begged “I let you escape” he added

“you can talk” the king said to Leanna

“Charlie is dead and does not exist, now get up and fight like a man” Leanna said

“I cannot and will not fight you, the person I met would not hurt a human” Alex replied

“she does not exist anymore only what you see before you does” Leanna replied “now fight” she shouted

“just end this already I am bored” the king shouted and Leanna responded by sinking her teeth into his neck and draining him, once she had finished, she let him drop to the floor, Jack had to turn away he could no longer watch what she had become
