The Alphas Wonder Land Phoenix Mountain Book 9

Chapter 32

SAWYER

I stare at the railway tie. “So this is mine huh?” I mumble to it.

Zander shrugs. “Could be. Try it.”

I pull out my knife and prepare to prick my finger. “Here goes nothing.”

I turn to Damica. “Back up. I don’t know what this thing is going to do.”

She blinks at me. “Uh…Ok.” She rolls her chair back. Hunter, Zane and Peter make room.

I prick my finger and my blood drops on the piece.

It shakes on the table and white and blue sparks of lightning came from it. It glowed bright and jumped on the table in an tiny blast of light.

It stopped glowing except for a letter glowing blue and white. It was dented from being used as a railway tie, but it fixed itself. It now looked like a piece of straight iron.

I can feel it begging me to touch it.

I throw out my hands in front of me and push up my sleeves. I eye the table. “If I start talking like pussy you all better wake me up.” I growl.

“Sawyer, just touch it.” Peter chuckles.

I clear my throat and lower my hand. My fingertip lands on the glowing letter.

I’m in a dark room sitting at a table. It’s a bar table and there’s a pint of beer on it with something underneath. I lift it and it’s a card. Like a business card. It’s black with one white letter. An ‘O'. I flip it over and there’s a time on the back. 12 am and a phone number I don’t recognize. I set the card down and lift my beer.

I hear music start. I know this song. ‘Porn Star Dancing’ by My Darkest Days. What?

A mans voice comes from the dark. “Get those wishes ready guys. We've rubbed the lamp hard for this Genie.”

I’m blinded by blue and red stage lights. I have to shield my eyes.

Once my eyes adjust, I lower my hand to view a stage and a pole that appears in the center of the room. I hear whistling and cat calling, but there’s no one else here.

I eye the stage and a long leg with a silver platform heel comes out of the dark. Then another and fuck me…

Walking to the pole in front of me, is an exotic type woman with dark skin, long brown hair and fabulous brown eyes. Her curvy body is fit and she’s wearing a teal bra with gold dangles across the top. Her matching g-string is covered by a thin, tiny sheer cover.

She swings her hips to the music and turns. She does a straight leg bend over right in front of me. My brows go up. Can I watch this? Am I allowed to watch this? This is for the mission right? So, I can’t really get in trouble for watching. It’s just a vision. Not like I can control what I see…right?

By that logic, I lean back in my chair, grab my beer and appreciate the talent. A smile crosses my lips that I’m sure looks a little…uh…hungry, for lack of a better word. My eyes follow the bends and curves.

She strips off her tiny skirt and swings around the pole to the floor and back up. She’s pulling all the moves.

I lean forward as she spins around the pole upside down, her long, brown hair hanging and her tiny bra barely holding her ample chest in.

She spins to the floor, rolls and does a split in front of me.

“Damn.” I growl. Ok. I really like this vision. I lick my lips as I watch her body wave and flip on the stage.

She gets to her hands and knees and she crawls to me. The stage moves across the floor with her. I’m now right at the stage.

She crawls to the edge. Hot damn, I think as I eye her cleavage and arched back.

Her lips are mere inches from mine. “What is your wish, Alpha?” She purrs. Her brown eyes are filled with desire.

I smell her arousal and I know I’m sporting a solid semi at this point. I heave a shaky breath. “Uh…wish? Um…anything?”

She closes the gap. “Anything.” She whispers seductively.

“Fuck.” I whisper back as I feel drawn to her somehow.

“Choose.” She says as her lips float around mine.

“Choose what?” I ask. I feel trapped.

“Choose your fate. Make a wish.” Her eyes look me over as she teases me.

I press my lips together and think. “I wish…to win.”

She seductively licks her lips. “Your wish is granted.”

She sits and spins. Her exceptionally long legs lift over my head then she plants a platform heel on my chest.

I look down and then back up at her.

She smirks and pushes me hard.

I’m shoved back like my chair is on wheels.

I scream as the bar melts and outside replaces it. I hit what I think is dirt, my chair tips backwards and I go ass over tea kettle across the ground.

I stop the roll and look around. “What?”

I hear growling behind me. I look and spin to my feet. I’m in the desert. Behind a massive army.

They’re ours.

I walk through them and it’s like they’re waiting. Waiting for what?

I push through to the front of the thousands. Everyone’s here. From humans to vampires. Falcon Ridge to Phoenix. Even Atlas.

I breach the front line and walk a distance. I turn around to the standing army of thousands.

Eternity is in front of the Prison. We're beating him back. All us Alphas.

We all throw our pieces one at a time onto the ground. Owen throws the mirror railway tie down last and they all glow their colors. They get sucked to the prison and combine to make the door.

Zander fights his dad into it and Jake closes the door. He shoves a dagger into the lock and prison shakes violently as Eternity tries to break out.

Ash slams the amulet on the cross and a ring of green light surrounds it.

Then I hear the sounds of breaking glass.

I turn to see a line of mirrors that disappears beyond the horizon. Each one breaking in explosive power.

I hear more and turn my head the other way to end of the line. Those ones are breaking too. They’re smashing fast from both ends.

Damica is standing in front of one in the middle. Rex is reflected in it. She turns her hurt face to me.

“Do something!” She cries to me.

“I…I…can’t, baby.” I shake my head. My head whips back and forth as the mirrors smash like a lighted fuse.

“Please…” She begs me. She turns and bangs on the glass. Rex is banging too. He’s yelling, but I can’t hear it.

I see the mirrors breaking faster to the one Rex is in.

“DAMICA!” I run to her and grab her. I throw her down and cover her as the mirror Rex is in smashes.

I get off her and Damica starts to sob hitting me. “Why didn’t you save him?! You could have saved him!”

“I’m sorry…I’m sorry.” I hold her tight as I look to where the last mirror stood. I turn and see the prison light up bright. Eternity is screaming and yelling threats of death. Zanders trying to pry Jake off it and then the prison blasts to oblivion.

“JAKE!” I scream.

When the lights die down, the prison with Jake is gone. All of it. My jaw drops. The Alphas are all confused and fighting with Zander about Jake.

“Not again.” I shake my head.

I pick up a piece of glass and look to the prison.

“Choose your fate.” I mutter.

The desert dissolves and I’m on the floor of the council room.

I’m confused as I stand up.

“Sawyer?” Zander is standing with his arms crossed.

“I…I…We have a problem.” I mutter as I roll an eye to him.

****

I rub the back of my head as I explain my vision. Of course, the others are only stuck on one thing.

“OK. So your vision was…watching a stripper?” Darcy apparently needs clarification on this.

“Yes.” I snarl.

“Really.”

I turn and Damica has her own scowl. Her arms and legs are crossed. She bouncing her boot as she stares me down.

I turn. “Baby, I swear. It was the vision. I couldn’t control it.”

“You didn’t have to enjoy it so much.” She growls.

“I didn’t!” I defend.

“Um…We saw everything, Sawyer. You were pretty…happy.” Peter smirks.

I point to him. “Not helping!” I growl.

“Did she at least give you a lap dance before tossing you in the desert?” Darcy grins.

“DARCY!”

“What? She could at least relax him a little before hell broke loose.” He puts his hands out.

I snarl and shake my head. “That’s not the point! She said ‘Choose your fate.’ If what I saw was true. Once we put your dad away, the ability to cross will be destroyed.” I turn to Damica. “We can’t go back.”

“Ever?”

“I’m sorry, baby.” I hold her hands. “I think the mirror piece destroys the door. Whether they used it or us, it was inevitable. The choice is. Eternity or mirror land.”

“What about Rex? His pack?” She asks.

I shake my head no. “From what I saw, we can’t get him out. His mirror powers don’t work.”

“What if I cure them?” Damica says. “Before the fight here.”

I nod. “You could, but if we go through with the plan to make Rex Eternity, he still can’t come back and you won’t be able to see him again.”

“We need to see Rex.” She mumbles.

“We will.” I say.

Zander walks to the front of the room. “So, you saw what we need to do.”

I nod. “We fight him, throw him in and Jake locks the door.” I eye Jake with a twinge of guilt. I’m not sure if I should tell him he dies. We need him to lock that door. If I tell him, he may not do it.

“With a dagger.” Zander looks to Jake. “Miracles dagger.”

Jake ticks his head. “It does have an M on it.”

A while later, the lab brought the dagger in its leather wraps. They set it down in front of Jake.

“You know, this the first time I’ve touched it?” Jake looks around the table.

“Be prepared for a hell of kick if it’s not yours.” Zane says.

“It’s his.” Zander motions Jake to go ahead.

Jake slowly reaches out and grabs the hilt.

The dagger glows gold and Jake seems to almost grow in his seat. A grin crosses his lips as his eyes glow gold and then turn solid black.

The daggers glow dies and Miracle looks to Zander.

‘Does it always feel like this? The power?’ He links so we all can hear it.

Zander nods. ‘Yes. You can control it with training.’

He looks the dagger over. ‘Cool.’ He smiles.

Zander leans on the table. “From the sounds of Sawyers vision, more sacrifices will have to be made.”

I play with my pen and eye Jake at the same time.

He looks to Damica. “We will try to save as many as we can.”

Faith leans on the table. “I think I can help with that, but I need one thing.”

“What’s that?” Zander asks.

“My counterpart.” She looks around the table. “I need the dark Shaman. I feel like she has a lot of knowledge I’m not privileged to. If I can convince her to join me, we can combine our powers and maybe come up with a cure for Rex’s pack.” She turns to Damica. “Unfortunately, there’s no way to open the cosmic veil. If Rex becomes Eternity, he will never be able to cross as Sawyer said.”

Damica nods.

I sit up. “Ok. We split in two. One team finds the Shaman, the other prepares for a mirror battle with Eternity.” I arch a brow and look my brothers in the eye.

Darcy throws up his hand. “I’ll take the Shaman.”

Brody nods. “Me too.”

Owen leans to Brody. “I’ll go with you.”

Jake looks at him. “I thought you weren’t fighting?”

“Looking for someone, isn’t fighting.” He grins.

Jake nods. He turns to Zander. “Can you fight dad without me? I need to watch Owen.” He says.

“I believe we have enough to do it.” Zander answers.

Mateo slaps the table. “I’ll go with the search party.”

I cross my arms and lean back. “Ok. We got a plan.” I look to Damica who has a small smile on her lips.

As we are dismissed, we’re stopped by Ricky.

“Hey guys.” She says. Her face is puffy from crying and it fucking burns me.

“Hey, Rick. How are you?” I gently rub her arm.

“I’m OK. I think. Anyway, I've been racking my brain about you two.” She says.

“About what?” I ask. My brow comes together as I grab Damica's hand.

“Well, I know you two have gotten really close and it’s no secret you two agreed to see if you’re fated.” She smiles.

“Ok.”

“I’m sure you’re aware that if Damica bites you, you become human.” Ricky nods.

I rub my head. “Yeah, I’ve been kind of worried about that. I mean, I want her mark, but am I ready to be human?” I scrunch my face as I glance at Damica. She gives a half smile.

“It’s OK. I’ve had a team over in mirror land to study the properties of the blue moon there. Guess what I found?” She crosses her arms and smirks.

“What?” Damica asks.

“Everything. And I mean, everythin, is the exact opposite. Meaning, the white moon, won’t have the same effects as the blue moon here.” She supplies.

“Wait, so you’re saying that when Damica is under the white moon, she can’t cure anything?” I ask.

“In theory. Yes. If she’s like them, then you guys can’t mark here.” Ricky informs.

Damica turns to me. “True love is found under the white moon.”

“Excuse me?” I look at her with confusion.

“Something mirror Destiny told me. I thought it meant I couldn’t mate with you because you’re an unnatural reflection, but if what Ricky says is true…”

I look to Ricky. “How long until the blue moon…or white moon?”

She shrugs. “A few weeks.”

“Ok.” I cross my arms. “So we have to put Eternity away before then.” I turn and grab Damica’s cheeks. “Then I can mark you and after we cure Rex’s pack.”

She smiles. “I like that plan.”

Ricky smiles. “Good luck, guys. I’ll study our findings a bit more and find you if I find anything else.”

I nod and turn back to Damica. “I didn’t want to mark you that hell, but I don’t care. If I wear your mark, that’s all I care about.”

“I love you.” She smiles.

I kiss her pouty lips. “I love you too.”

I throw my arm around her and walk out of the council room. I've racked my brain for months to figure how to do this. I can’t say I wouldn’t give up my wolf for Damica. I believe, deep down, I’m ready to do that. So, if things go south on the other side, I’ll be the best damn human mate she’s ever had.
