Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 144 Puppy Love

In one afternoon, Doris still didn't go to the kindergarten to pick up Nadia. This time, it was because Jay didn't want her to.

"My parents want to see you," said Jay.

It was not the first time that Jay mentioned it, but the thought of visiting his parents still made her nervous.

Doris had been making up excuses not to go.

But today, no excuses wouldn't work.

Because it was his grandfather's birthday.

Her eyes were scanning the clothes in front of her.

Thought it was taking her forever to pick which one to wear, Jay didn't seem to mind the time. He just calmly sat on the couch with his legs crossed, keeping himself entertained with his phone. "What did Nancy do this time? She is on the headline again. This time, she was seen with a man named Jerome." Who is he?" Even though he asked, he didn't seem really interested.

"Her classmate." The cheongsam she was wearing did not suit her daring personality.

Every step she took was like falling.

"Alas, Charles will become preoccupied again." After a while, he tossed the phone beside him.

"I really don't get these two! Why do they claim to love each other, yet they torture one another?" Her furious eyes were now focused on Jay.

"You don't understand. The way how rich people live is complicated. It's not easy to deal with!" It was rare for Jay to look serious. Doris was surprised at his statement because he used to always take things lightly.

He sighed, "Rich people aren't always as happy as they seem to be. They can be miserable too."

Faintly laughing, she glanced at him and said, "You are rich and there are a lot of women around you. You must be the happiest man in the world!"

"Well, that's right. But my concern right now is how I could marry you." Jay burst out laughing. Not because he was not serious about marrying her, but because of her reaction.

Her smile disappeared and her face turned as red as an apple. He was serious just a few minutes ago, and now he was being playful again.

"That's nonsense! I haven't thought about it yet. Look at this one. What do you think of it?" Avoiding the topic, she circled around in front of him, wearing a royal blue dress.

"Well, you look gorgeous regardless of what you wear." The way he stared at her every move had proven how sincere he was. He dated other women before. Just as how he had seen all kinds of dresses. But he was only interested in Doris now. So, no matter what she was wearing, he would still look at her with adoration in his eyes.

That was why he didn't buy her a dress that was worth a million even if he could afford it.

If they were going somewhere for business, he would have bought an expensive dress for her.

But today was just his grandfather's birthday, and there was no need to exert too much effort.

He stood up and held her waist gently as his head lowered down to kiss her.

But Doris turned sideways to dodge it.

"It took me a long time to put on my lipstick. What if you ruin it?" Her voice was unusually soft when she spoke.

It was new to Jay. His heart softened and he almost broke into a smile.

"I... Hey, what are you laughing at, Jay? Hurry up and go." By faking her irritation, she managed to conceal her true emotions.

In reality, no matter how tough Doris seemed to be, she was still a woman.

Sometimes, a person needed to act strong.

And Doris did it to protect herself and to fight back when someone hurt her.

People believed her facade.

Suddenly, Jay gripped her wrists. Their eyes met when she raised her head.

They got entangled with each other instantly. The desire in their eyes was unmistakable.

"I, I..." Because of the silence, she heard her heart hammering in her chest.

He lowered his head to kiss her.

But Doris cared too much about her lipstick. With wide eyes she said,

"My...my Lipstick!"

"I don't mind!" Consumed by his burning passion, he kissed her again.

The night had fallen.

However, Jay was immersed in what they were doing, that he could not extricate himself from it anymore.

"Jay..." Annoyed that he was not listening to her, she bit his lips.

"What? Doris, what was that for?" Jay pulled away reluctantly.

"We... If we don't go now, we will be late." Doris faltered, "If you don't want me to go, then we won't go."

"If we don't go, you have to reward me by sleeping with me tonight." Jay was still engrossed in the kiss they had just now. If Doris agreed, he would really ditch the party.

Yes, this man was born to be a playboy. But luckily, he met Doris. Otherwise, he might not get married all his life.

Hearing this, Doris raised her hand and slapped his head. "What are you talking about? Are you trying to be grounded by your grandfather?"

"No, of course not!" Wiping his lower lip, he smiled at her and gave up. "Let's go and celebrate my grandfather's birthday."

His grandfather, Landon Fang, was widely known in the city. And today is his eightieth birthday. Needless to say, a lot of people went to see him.

The old man was a little anxious because he had not spotted his grandson yet.

"Sarah, where is your brother?" Landon Fang asked with his brows furrowed.

Resting her hand on his shoulder, she replied affectionately, "Grandpa, didn't my brother say that he would give you a surprise?"

Her response caused him to snort and laugh. "Your brother has really given me a lot of surprises over the years, but they were all bad!"

"Let me introduce a man to you..." Sarah held Stoney's hand and introduced him to her grandfather, "This is my boyfriend, Stoney Ji." Upon hearing that, Stoney quickly greeted him, "Grandpa."

"How old are you? Are you in a puppy love?" Sarah was a college student. She was nineteen years old. However, in the eyes of her grandfather, she was still a child. Besides, the Fang family only had one little granddaughter. Landon Fang cherished her with all his heart. He was afraid that his granddaughter would be cheated by a boy. So, now he was looking at Stoney with hostility.

'Tm in college now!" Sarah scoffed.

"Grandpa, we are just classmates. Nothing happened yet." The memories of Jay beating him up before was still haunting him.

He stammered as he was now talking to Sarah's grandfather.

"Well, you'd better keep a distance. You two are still young!" Landon Fang warned.

"Dad, the guests are all here. Don't chat with the children. Come here!" said Eric, Jay's father. When his attention was turned to someone else, Stoney sighed in relief. "Okay, okay. Why hasn't Jay come yet?" He was still worried about his only grandson.

As soon as he finished his sentence, a sweet female voice reached his ears. "Grandpa, happy birthday!"

Smiling, Lucy Xia came over and greeted Landon.

"Hey, Lucy, how are you? I haven't seen you in a while. You have grown up," Landon Fang said while staring at her.

"Yeah, time flies, Mr. Fang!" It was Lucy's father who responded.

"Exactly! I am now eighty years old." Landon Fang laughed together with them.
