Chapter 73

XANDER

I didn’t miss the way Maliya’s expression switched the moment Alpha Kane announced his Laina. I watched how she clenched her fist as the watched them with spite. I finally understood her pain. It must be hard to watch the person she once trusted and who betrayed her live with no remorse for what he did.

“I need to use the restroom,” she excused herself and literally ran out of the hall. I thought of following her there to comfort her, but I also thought that she might want to be alone

I waited for a few minutes but she was yet to return, and I couldn’t help but get worried. Is she crying by herself?

I didn’t miss the way Alpha Kane left the room almost immediately after Maliya left and he was yet to return to. It was strange, considering how he had a lot of guests to attend to but he was nowhere around either.

I watched as the woman he announced to be his Laina smiled around proudly and I made a mental note to find out every single thing about her and how Alpha Kane had treated Mallya before she was sold to me.

I tried to wave off the fact that it’s been close to thirty minutes and Maliya still hadn’t returned, but I could no longer sit still and decided to look for her instead.

She might be

crying all by herself which is not good for her condition, although I doubt that might be the case. I have a feeling that something was keeping her behind and I have a bad feeling about it.

1 excused myself and went into the bathroom to look for her but she was nowhere to be found. Could she be in our room? I have a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach but before the thought could overpower me, I went straight into our room to look for her

I pushed the door open and it was exactly how we left. I couldn’t perceive her scent which shows that she hasn’t come into the room. 

“Where is Maliya?” I whispered to myself as fear gripped down on me. What if someone has taken her? There are a lot of guests around and everywhere is pretty crowded. Taking her will be easy and almost everyone has a thing against me.

1 dashed our of the room to search for her when I met Land Willimas on the way.

“What is going on, Alpha?” Lord Williams asked with a frown the moment he sighted mr

“Maliya is missing. I have searched everywhere for her and she is nowhere to be found. She is meant to be in the bathroom. That is what she said. she was going. Thirty minutes have passed and I still can’t find her,” I muttered,

“Give me a minute, she couldn’t have gone anywhere. I will and look for her, Lord Williams said before leaving immediately. I went back to the hall to see if I missed her on the way and maybe she was back, but there were no signs of her.

The party was

still in full swing and no one noticed that Maliya had gone missing. I looked for Alpha Rane and I felt a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach when I realized that he had yet to return too.

It couldn’t be what I’m thinking, right?

I stepped out of the hall back and began to search for Maliya again when I met Lord Williams halfway who was panting heavily.

“I have looked everywhere for Alpha Kane and Mallya but no one seems to know where they are. Do you think they are together!” Lord Williams asked, making my stomach clenched with disgust.

I began to hear faint voices in the hallway and I moved closer to the direction the voices were coming from. The closer I moved, the more certain I became that the voice belonged to Maliya and Alpha Kane

“Where are you going? Lord Williams asked behind me as I leaned closer to a door and I ignored him, I turned the doorknob to see that they weren’t locked and I became more certain that she was in there.

I knew knocking might give them the chance to stop whatever was happening so I decided to break the door down instead.

I moved back a linde before pouncing on it with full force, making the door break open. I felt a surge of rage course through my veins as I saw Alpha Kane trying to force himself on Maliya who was struggling to get him away from hersell

My eyes flashed with anger at the sight and I didn’t miss the relief on Maliya’s face the moment she saw me,

My eyes fell on Alpha Kane again and I have never felt so angry in my entire life. My body shook with anger as my hands began to tremble out of rage. I found at hard to control myself and all I could see was blond. I wanted to break his head open and kill the bastard for laying a fucking finger

“Who the hell do you think you are to lay those filthy hands on my woman?” I asked through gritted teeth

Chapter 73

If I had set an example with Alpha Luxwell, no one would have dared to harass my womin again, hence, I won’t test until I kill this bastard

Alpha Kane took a step back and I didn’t miss the fear in his eyes which he was trying to cover up with a fake confidence.

“I asked a question. Alpha Kane Who the hell do you t think you are to lay a fucking hand on my pregnant. woman!” I demanded answers as I look an intimidating step towards him.

Alpha Kane summoned his courage and tried to stand up for himself while I watched him with an unamised look.

“I was. Before he could finish his words, 1 punched him across his face, leaving him with a broken nose and the bastard cried out in pain like the

coward that he was

I dragged him by his collar and continued to hit him over and over again, transferring my anger and spite into every punch I dashed at him.

How dare he touch my woman after everything that I did for hing? He became the Alpha of his pack today because of my help but as soon as he became the Alpha, the first thing he wanted to do was take my woman Fucking stand.

Alpha Kane tried to fight back as he siniggled to push me off, but he stood by chance against me as I continued to hit him everywhere.

The room soon became crowded as people rushed inside to separate us,

“What is going on” Why as everyone just standing there? Someone should stop them Sonteone yelled among the crowd and a few people tried to get between us, but before that could happen. Lond Williams stopped them by sensing all of them away with a simple glare.

“Lord Williams!” I yelled and he turned to face me immediately.

“Yes. Alpha.” 

“Let the guards tie this idiot up and bring him outside so that everyone can watch, I ordered, and he nodded, I turned to Alpha Kane with pute rage before speaking again. “I am going to teach you an unforgettable lesson so that others can use you to learn,” Thissed.

I stormed out of the room angrily as Lord Williams began to the him up with the help the other guards.

I wrapped my hands around Maliya protectively to make sure that she was fine and went back into the hull. Malya seems to be in a great shock as 1 pulled her beside me and I hope that after tonight, no one would ever dream of hurting her ever again.

A few minutes later. Alpha Kane was dragged out by Lord Williams and the room began to whisper among themselves. 

1 stood up as anger run through my veins and pulled Maliya with me. Every eyes in the room were fixed on us just like 1 had expected when I began to speak

I wrapped my hands protectively around Maliya as I glared at Alpha Kane’s Luna and her family. “This wonun ading right next me is mine, announced, and I didn’t miss the shock on their faces 

“Should anyone touch a strand on her hair, you will have to dance to my tunes, I warned sternly.
