1 watched how Alpha Xander beat Alpha Kane up for laying a finger on me, and all I could do was stare at him in disbelief. Even though Alpha Xander wasn’t the type to show his emotions, I saw how proud he was that Alpha Kane had finally become the Alpha. 

I don’t know what he did to help him out, but I knew that he got to this stage because of Alpha Xander, so watching him beat Alpha Kane up because of me was entirely shocking to me.

Although we have bonded quite alright for the past few weeks, and I certainly don’t hate him as much as I used to anymore, I still didn’t expect him to stand up for me or threaten everyone for my sake. 

It was nice sering someone care about me or even see me as a woman after all these years. Even in my dreams, I wouldn’t have expected Alpha Xander to do this for me. but he did without me even asking and I couldn’t help but be grateful to him.

I never expected him to get this far for me and it is something I’ll always be grateful for. Alpha Kane would have stolen my joy once again if he had his way with me. Raya would have slutshamed me like she always does and Father would have told me how much of an embarrassment I was.

I have never liked a violent man, but if a man could be this violent just because someone touched me, then I would be a fool not to fall for him. He is a real man. 

The thought of killing Alpha Kane with my hands sounds thrilling, but before I could answer his question, he shook his head.

Alpha Xander turned to me with an unamused look and I waited for him to speak. 

“Mention just one good deed they did for you in the past. If you can mention it, then I’ll spare them, if not, I will get rid of them right here, right now,” Alpha Xander muttered 

“Please. I am your father. Even if I did everything wrong, remember that you are alive today because of me… please spare us,” he begged

I’m sorry for everything. Maliya, please save us just this once,” Raya grabbed my leg as she tried and all I could do was watch them in awe. 

I looked at Alpha Xander and my heart swelled with joy and gratitude. I have never thought someone would stand up for me, not to talk of going to this extent. I wanted to thank him so badly, but all I could do was cry.
