Penny's expression turned cold when she heard that.

Colin and Ava, who were seated around them, and the Elite Eight, who were in plain clothes, were enraged by Nigel's words.

They exchanged glances with Nathan and communicated soundlessly, asking if he wanted them to teach Nigel a lesson for being a crude charlatan.

A cold glint flashed across Nathan's eyes.

However, he was able to hide it well. Nigel and the others did not notice anything.

He was confident that the men in front of him were charlatans.

But in order not to accuse anyone wrongly, he reined in his temper and asked casually, "Oh, could you elaborate more?"

Nigel glanced at Penny and could not hide the lust in his eyes. In a serious manner, he answered, "Your wife must have gone somewhere unclean recently and got haunted by something evil. If I don't save her and remove it, her and her baby's lives will be in danger." Nathan narrowed his eyes. "How are you going to save them?"

Nigel did not notice that Nathan's expression had already darkened and that there was murderous intent in the latter's eyes.

Instead, he thought that he had scared Nathan with his words, leading to a change in the latter's expression and tone.

"It's actually simple. Let your wife come with us to Rostrie Hill. She will take a bath and pray in the temple, and I will remove the dirty thing in her personally. However, no one, not even you, can be on the scene when this is happening. Your wife must also let go of her worldly prejudices and cooperate with me for it to work," he answered with a smile.

Nathan's expression darkened further as he stared at Nigel with a piercing gaze. In a cold voice, he said, "You guys are just a bunch of outrageous charlatans acting as though you belong to a religious organization to trick people." Nigel was shocked upon hearing that.

Everyone had been listening to Nigel's words with interest. They were astonished when they heard Nathan's words.

Are they all fake? Are they all charlatans?

Faced with the seemingly murderous Nathan and the suspicion of the crowd, Nigel panicked.

"You brat, I was kind enough to try to save your wife. How could you slander me? If you don't believe in my divine abilities, I'll show you and let you see how powerful I am." He flew into a rage out of humiliation. Everyone on the bus was mostly farmers, so they were rather superstitious.

When they heard Nigel was going to

show his capabilities and prove himself, they were excited. "Okay. You should show us your abilities and let us see how powerful you are"

Nigel replied, "I appreciate everyone's praises and trust, so I'm going to show you something. I'm going to take something through telekinesis. How about that?"

"Great!"

The crowd nodded to express their approval.

Nathan, Penny, and the others did not say anything as they watched Nigel's performance.

Nigel looked at everyone, and his eyes finally landed on an old woman. "I'll cast a spell and take this old woman's wallet."

Everyone turned to where Nigel was pointing, only to see an old woman standing a few meters away.

When everyone turned to look at the old woman, Nigel's companion had already secretly passed him a wallet.

Nigel quickly took the wallet and placed it in his sleeves when no one was looking.

However, Nathan witnessed the whole thing.

Nigel coughed and brought everyone's attention back to him. "I'll cast the spell now."

He recited a few incomprehensible spell incantations, and then, like magic, a wallet suddenly appeared in his hands.

"Eh?"

"Is that a wallet?"

"Oh my god! He actually did it!"

The shock was written all over everyone's faces.

Looking at the wallet Nigel was holding, the old woman touched her pocket and exclaimed, "Mine! That's mine! Return it to me quickly!"

Nigel handed the wallet back to the old woman and smiled. "Here you go. The wallet is yours. As I said, I was just trying to show my capabilities."

The old woman took back her wallet. After checking that her money was not missing, she thanked him gratefully.

Everyone regarded Nigel in a

different light now. As if they hade

met a deity, they said with respect and admiration, "He really has divine capabilities!"
