Chapter 3038
Nigel grinned triumphantly and glanced at Nathan. "What do you think? Do you believe me now? If you believe me, send your wife to Rostrie Hill. I'll cast a spell on her to save her." Nathan scoffed, "What if the old woman is in cahoots with you? How about this? There are a few men sitting there. Why don't you see if you can take anything from them?" Nigel looked toward where Nathan was pointing and saw the Elite Eight.
He frowned and shot a look at his companions.
Immediately, a man with a mustache crept toward Quinten and tried to steal his belongings.
Quinten sat in his seat expressionlessly and feigned ignorance.
The man touched Quinten's body and found something. He wanted to steal it but realized something was amiss.
He touched the thing again, and his face changed instantly.
It was a gun.
As if he had touched a poisonous snake, he withdrew his hand immediately and shot an alarmed look at Nigel to warn the latter to get away.
Nigel noticed his companion's anxious glance but did not understand the meaning behind it.
He thought his companion was anxious, as the latter did not manage to steal something.
He could not help but curse inwardly, Useless.
Thereafter, he gave a look to another companion who had a buzz cut.
The companion with the buzz cut understood Nigel's intentions. He did not get closer to the Elite Eight but to Nathan instead.
He had a clear thought process.
Nathan wanted Nigel to take the burly men's belongings through telekinesis. However, the men did not seem easy to be trifled with, and it would not be easy to steal their belongings. Moreover, everyone's attention was on the burly men.
He decided to use it to his advantage and steal something from Nathan instead. Then Nathan would be amazed by it.
Therefore, the man with the buzz cut made his way to Nathan as everyone was distracted and placed his hand into the latter's pocket.
He did not get Nathan's wallet but found a document that seemed like a driver's license.
Forget it. I'll just steal this first.
After that, he left Nathan's side and passed the document to Nigel as another companion covered him.
Nigel took the item and discreetly placed it into his sleeves.
He grinned smugly and said to Nathan calmly, "Haha! You don't believe in my divine capabilities, so even if I obtain something from those burly men, you will still have your suspicions that I'm also in cahoots with them. How about this? I will take something from you instead."
Nathan glanced at him in amusement and replied, "Sure!"
Upon hearing Nathan's agreement, Nigel immediately started reciting his incantations.
Whoosh!
An item appeared in Nigel's hand. It was a red identification document.
He said smugly, "Haha! Look at this. Is this yours?"
"It is!" Nathan said coldly.
Everyone was in an uproar as they praised Nigel for being able to take something from Nathan.
Nigel grew even smugger.
"Do you finally believe in my abilities? You should believe my words and send your wife to Rostrie Hill so that I can save her. Taking things through telekinesis is just one minor skill I have. I have even more divine abilities. Be my follower, and I promise you tremendous benefits."
While speaking, he scrutinized Nathan's document, as it was rare to see a red identification document.
"What document is this?"
As he said that, he noticed the words on the identification document.
It was a military ID!
When Nigel saw the words on the document, he felt as if he was struck by lightning.
Nathan looked at him calmly and
said,
anym aren't you talking
Weren't you very good at
swnch you
lying? Well, go on. I like to act."
Nigel's face paled, and his hand holding Nathan's identification document started trembling.
He opened the document and saw the military rank position written on it. Instantly, his eyes widened, and his blood pressure shot up.
He spat a mouthful of blood and got to his knees with a thud.
