Chapter 10
Andrew looked down and tidied his cufflinks, looking proud and indifferent.
“Whether I can call the shots or not, you’re not qualified to dictate to me, at least.”
The man’s eyes were red with anger as he glanced at Andrew and Elizabeth.
“You two. Let’s wait and see!”
After saying that, he turned around and left.
Elizabeth first thought that he would do something and didn’t expect him to stop like this.
She curled her lips in disdain.
“He ran away so decisively. All he could do was to show up in front of you?”
“Don’t bother with him.” Andrew forgot it in an instant.
However, while Elizabeth was eating, she saw outside through the floor–to–ceiling window that on the street, the man who had appeared before seemed to have had two punks squatting at the door and waiting for them.
She raised the corner of her mouth, wondering which enemy of Andrew could do these lowly things.
After they finished eating, they walked out side by side. Elizabeth put her hands in her pockets, and one of her hands was holding a pocket watch in her pocket.
“What do you think if there is danger in the next moment?”
Elizabeth suddenly asked Andrew.
Andrew blurted out, “If something happens to me, do you think you can run away?”
Elizabeth curled her lips. “I don’t know if you can run or not, but I definitely can.”
As she spoke, two gangsters jumped out from the side.
Elizabeth took two steps back.
Before Andrew could act, he saw Elizabeth take out her pocket watch and hold it mid–air..
“Hey!”
The two gangsters subconsciously looked over, and their gazes were fixed on the pocket watch for a moment.
Just a short moment was already enough.
Elizabeth looked into their eyes and murmured something in her mouth.
“Look into my eyes and keep breathing…
Andrew remained silent and did not disturb her. “Is this hypnosis?” he wondered.
He probably guessed what Elizabeth had been doing for the past 10 years after leaving. She must have studied psychiatry, but it was unclear how far her abilities had progressed.
As soon as the thugs, who were originally prepared to attack Elizabeth and Andrew, stared at the watch, their gazes became distracted, and their murderous intent gradually dissipated. They walked toward Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was still murmuring, “Relax. Right. Look at my pocket watch. I’ll count to three, and you’ll sleep quietly.”
“One, two, three.”
Just as she finished counting, the two gangsters fell straight to the ground and started snoring loudly.
Andrew raised his eyebrows, and the smile on his lips became more pronounced.
So, Elizabeth’s professional skills were quite good. No wonder even the extremely difficult–to–cure schizophrenia became as simple as child’s play for her.
After Elizabeth hypnotized the two gangsters, she put her pocket watch into her pocket, took Andrew’s hand, and ran away instantly.
Andrew looked at their hands holding together. Despite his mysophobia, he did not feel disgusted.
On the contrary, something in his heart was quietly breaking apart.
Elizabeth ran for a while and stopped when she saw that no one was chasing her. Only then did she stand still and turn to
look at Andrew.
Seeing that Andrew was somewhat absent–minded, she spoke anxiously.
Chapter 10
“Why are you still dawdling when you run away? If something happened to you, I’d be the sinner of the Hayes family
Andrew did not answer while his eyes were still fixed on their clasped hands.
Elizabeth followed his gaze to look over and hurriedly let go of his hand.
She coughed awkwardly.
“Sorry. The situation forced me.”
Andrew nodded.
At this time, a black Maybach stopped in front of them.
It was the housekeeper of the Hayes family.
When the two got into the car. Andrew spoke first, “Your hypnosis is powerful.”
Elizabeth shook her head. “It’s just a coincidence. Both of them are not determined, and they can only be hypnotized for a while.”
Andrew observed her look.
She was not lying.
When they arrived at the Hayes family. Andrew went straight to the bedroom, and Elizabeth dawilled for some time before returning to the bedroom.
After washing up, she took up a third of the bed.
Seeing her curled up next to the edge of the bed. Andrew sarcastically commented, “Why don’t you curl up a little more and sleep in the corner?”
Elizabeth glanced at him without saying anything and chose to ignore it.
Seeing this, Andrew brutally lifted the quilt and slept in. filling a lot of cold air.
It was now in autumn and a little cool at night.
Elizabeth shivered with cold, clutched the quilt, and glared at him with resentment.
“Can’t you ask the servant to send more quilts?”
“No. Grandpa will know,” said Andrew as if it was a matter of course.
Elizabeth was left speechless.
She could endure!
Andrew watched her shrink into the corner again.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and made a dull sound.
“Did you sleep so far because you were afraid that I would eat you?”
“No.”
Elizabeth shook her head frankly.
“I am afraid that will
you
go crazy in the middle of the night. In that case, I can run quickly.”
Andrew frowned and said inwardly, “She really dared to say anything!”
Elizabeth could completely imagine what expression he had.
She couldn’t help but snicker just thinking about it.
The two fell asleep with their own thoughts. When they woke up the following day, Elizabeth opened her eyes and saw the dark blue silk cloth
Only Andrew would wear these pajamas.
Looking up again, she saw it was an angular chin. After a night, some stubble had emerged on it.
Elizabeth belatedly felt the hand on her waist.
She was instantly sober.
She was sleeping in the arms of Andrew Hayes!
Elizabeth’s heart was pounding. She thought this definitely wasn’t her fault. Her sleeping posture was good. It was definitely
Andrew’s fault!
She held her breath and gently lifted Andrew’s hand to get up. However, as soon as she moved his hand away, he put it up
again.
“Was he doing it on purpose?” she wondered.
When Elizabeth looked up, she met with Andrew’s playful gaze.
It turned out that Andrew had already woken up.
Elizabeth was burning with hatred as she forcefully pushed Andrew away.
“You are taking advantage of me!”
Andrew retorted unreasonably, “I wonder who rolled into my arms last night.”
“Hehe.” Elizabeth smiled simperingly.
She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash her face with cold water. After changing her clothes, she left the room.
Andrew watched her leave in a panic, and the corners of his lips curled up.
Elizabeth spent the whole morning in the study studying the treatment for split personality.
She looked at the book, but her mind drifted away.
She remembered the way Andrew looked at her this morning.
With one look, he stirred up her peaceful heart.
To be fair, Elizabeth had never met anyone better looking than Andrew.
However, she did not think that this kind of feeling was love. After all, if a handsome guy looked at her with such a gaze, she would be abnormal if she didn’t feel anything.
After self–motivation, Elizabeth continued to indulge in books.
At night, Andrew suddenly spoke before going to bed.
“Come with me to the city hall tomorrow.”
