Bernard narrowed his eyes. A smirk played on his lips as a thought occurred to him. “You weren’t following me on purpose to seduce me, were you?”
Stella let out a cold laugh, ready to dismiss his arrogance, but they were interrupted by Carrie’s voice from the hallway. “Bernard, Jessica, are you ready? Everyone’s waiting for you.”

The sound of approaching footsteps grew louder.
Hearing the commotion, Stella felt a surge of panic. Bernard seemed equally nervous and in his panic, slipped on a wet spot, pulling Stella down with him.
