Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 85

Chapter 85

Stella found a s

according to Bernard’s request. “Like this?”

Bernard glanced at it. He wanted to pick faults with it but found it quite good, so he nodded. “This style

will do.”

“Alright.” Stella grabbed a measuring tape to take his measurements.

Looking at his own reflection in the mirror, Bernard said, “I heard you slapped Jessica this morning.”

Stella raised an eyebrow. “What? Are you here to stick up for her?”

“Not really. I just wanted to ask, how shameless can you be? You’re divorced from Brian, yet you went back to stay at Yolvencrest Estate yesterday.”

Stella chuckled. “We’re still legally married for another month. So far, I’m still Brian’s wife and am entitled to stay at Yolvencrest Estate. On the other hand, mistresses have no right to go there.”

She sarcastically referred to Jessica as a mistress. After last night’s incident, Stella and Jessica were at

odds

Bernard snorted. “Are you jealous of Jessica? Do you feel uncomfortable seeing Brian value her so much?

“What would I be jealous of her for? Her scheming? Or her acting skills?‘ Stella retorted.

Bernard was speechless for a moment, but he said after a while, “Anyway, you’re definitely jealous of her.”

“Whatever.” Stella didn’t care at all. She picked up the measuring tape. “Please raise your arms, Mr. Roach.

Bernard lifted his arms.

When Stella approached to take his measurements, a faint fragrance wafted into Bernard’s nose. His breathing hitched as he caught a whiff of the subtle scent from her hair.

Her eyelashes were long and curled.  Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Feeling awkward, Bernard chuckled. “Why are you getting so close to me? Are you trying to seduce me?”

“You’re too narcissistic, Mr. Roach,” Stella retorted.

Just as she was about to step back, Bernard wrapped his arm around her waist.

“Not that it’s impossible. Bernard looked at her with a smirk. “If you really like me, you can pursue me Maybe I’ll give you a chance if I’m in the mood. You just need to do what you did with Brian before–be at my beck and call.”

Stella chuckled softly. “He’s worth pursuing, but someone like you isn’t.”

Bernard’s expression changed, and he suddenly pulled her closer.

“What are you doing? Stella was getting angry.

Bernard leaned in close to her ear and chuckled. “Brians here.”

Stella’s body stiffened.

“Brian,” Bernard called out.

“Why are you two together?” As Brian walked in, his gaze fell on the two of them.

Mike followed behind him, holding several gift bags.

It seemed they were going to visit someone. Were they going to have dinner with the Yates family tonight?

Stella’s thoughts were in turmoil.

“We’re good friends now,” Bernard said.

“Is that so?” Brian’s expression remained unchanged as he looked at Stella. “You’ve become friends with Bernard so quickly?”

Stella’s gaze fell on what Mike was holding.

She was going to confess to the Yates family tonight. She didn’t want Brian to go with her, so she nodded.

“Yes.”

The more he hated her, the cleaner the break would be,

“Come with me,” Brian said with a dark expression.

Stella followed him into the meeting room. As soon as the door closed, he pulled her onto the couch.

Stella was taken aback. They were in her studio!

She looked up at him. “What are you doing, Brian? This is my workplace.”

“You’re getting along so well with Bernard. Do you really want to flirt with him?” Brian bent down and held

her chin.

Stella’s chin hurt from his grip. Frowning, she said, “You’re hurting me. Let go.”

Brian didn’t comply. Instead, he leaned in and kissed her.
