Stella watched the traffic outside the window. Suddenly, she received a message on WhatsApp.
It was a voice message from her second uncle, Chris Yates. “Stella, did you see the news today? Charles
was arrested. What goes around comes around!”
Stella held down the voice message button. “I just saw it. He got what he deserved,” she said.
“Yeah! By the way, Stella, your grandma said she misses you and wants you to come over for dinner
tonight.”
“I’ll see if I have time tonight,” Stella replied..
“Going to dinner at the Yate residence tonight?” Brian asked her.
Stella said, “Well see.”
After Simon was imprisoned, Chris managed Yates Group. Stella’s grandmother, Lyla Larson, also lived at
his house. However, Stella wasn’t very close to Lyla, so she only went there during the holidays.
Just then, the car arrived at Starlight Couture..
Without saying anything more, Stella got out of the car and headed straight into the studio.
As Brian watched her leave, his gaze turned much colder.
As soon as Stella entered the office, she was surrounded by two employees.
“Ms. Yates, were you okay last night?”
“I’m fine,” Stella replied. She brushed it off by saying she had dinner with a friend whom she bumped into
“Oh, I see.” The two of them finally felt at ease.
Xenia brought out Jessica’s dress. “Ms. Yates, Ms. Xenos‘ dress has been altered. Do you want me to
send it out for her?”
“Go ahead,” Stella said before heading upstairs.
Yelena was sitting in the office. When she heard Stella come in, she looked at her with a lovesick
expression. “Oh my God! I saw Yoel for the first time yesterday. I didn’t expect him to be so hot!!
“Will Caleb be mad if he sees you acting like this?‘ Stella sat down.
“He won’t. He supports my fangirling.”
“But Yoel isn’t a celebrity.” Chuckling, Stella opened the design drafts folder and checked them all
thoroughly. After confirming that there were no problems, she took them to Xenia.
These clothes would be showcased at the upcoming new brand launch event.
She had a pile of work to do that day, Stella pulled herself together and worked hard all day.
Suddenly, she received a call from Lyla. “Stella, the whole family is gathering tonight. Remember to come. It’s best to bring your husband along.”
At the mention of “husband“. Stella felt her chest tighten..
How was she going to tell her family that she and Brian were divorced?
She decided that she should take the opportunity tonight to explain to the Yates family, so she agreed with Lyla. “Okay, Grandma, I’ll come over tonight.”
In the evening, Xenia came up to her and said, “Ms. Yates, there’s a hot guy downstairs looking for you. He said he wants to order a suit.”
“A hot guy?” Stella put down the fabric and looked at her.
“Yeah! He’s sizzling hot. Xenia blushed.
Puzzled, Stella walked down the stairs. It turned out to be Bernard.
Stella frowned. “What are you doing here?”
“What? Don’t you welcome me here? I want to order some clothes.” Bernard lounged on the couch with a lazy look.
Stella smiled politely. “Oh, please. Starlight Couture is open for business for everyone. What kind of clothes do you want to order, Mr. Roach?”
“Anything, as long as it looks good.”
Stella led him to the showroom. “Take a look and see if there are any styles you like.”
Bernard looked around. “There’s nothing great here. Design one for me. I want something cool.”
