Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 82

Chapter 82

The next day, Stella woke up feeling sore all over.

Sitting up in bed, she looked around the room and remembered what happened last night.

She had been drugged by Charles, then Brian had saved her and brought her back here. After that, they

kissed on this bed.

Stella covered her face.

Wait, how did they end up kissing yesterday?

She was drugged, but Brian wasn’t. Why was he kissing her?

And when Brian fought Charles last night, he looked really scary. The way he looked at her gave Stella the

illusion that Brian cared about her.

She felt confused again.

Shouldn’t Brian hate a woman like her who was so wishy–washy? Why was he treating her so well?

She dared not dwell on her thoughts, so she stopped herself. It didn’t matter anymore. They had already filed for divorce. She shouldn’t go back on her decision.

After she took her phone back, she sneaked downstairs.

“Mrs. Foley,” Yvonne called out to her from downstairs

Stella jumped in surprise. Hugging her purse, she gestured for Yvonne to be quiet. “Where’s Brian?”  Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“He went for a morning run,” Yvonne replied.

Stella breathed a sigh of relief. “Don’t be so loud. I’m leaving now. You don’t need to prepare breakfast for

me.”

The moment she walked out of the yard, she ran into Jessica getting out of the car.

Jessica was holding a lunchbox. She looked at Stella with concern. “Stella, were you okay last night? I

made some breakfast for you two.”

Her words showed that she cared, but her eyes were scanning Stella for any signs of marks. She noticed

a hickey on Stella’s neck.

Jessica’s gaze turned cold, but her face remained calm

Seeing this scheming woman, Stella approached her while glaring at her. Without hesitation, she raised her hand and delivered a hard slap to Jessica

The crisp sound of the slap rang out.

The lunchbox in Jessica’s hand fell, and the colorful pastries in it rolled out.

“Why did you hit me?” Jessica covered her face in shock.

“Because you set me up.” Stella’s expression was cold “Last night, as soon as I arrived in the private room, someone sent wine over, claiming it was from a lady in Room 106 to wish me a happy divorce When I went to Room 106, Charles was inside.”

Jessica looked innocent. “It wasn’t me, Stella. I didn’t send you any wine last night. Are you mistaken?”

“Are you saying it was just a coincidence? I got divorced yesterday morning, and Charles already knew by last night. How did he find out so quickly? And why would he pretend to be a lady and send me wine?”

“Must it be me?” Jessica looked teary–eyed. “I didn’t talk to any staff last night, nor did I send any wine. If you don’t believe me, you can ask the staff at Ventia Hotel.”

“Still pretending?” Stella raised her hand to slap her again.

Jessica dodged and called out, “Help me, Brian!”

At the n

mention of Brian’s name, Stella trembled all over and turned around.

Brian had appeared at the door. Even in black sports attire, he exuded nobility.

Stop it,” Brian spoke up to stop her. “I called Mike last night. Jessica didn’t instruct any staff, and the wine was arranged by Charles himself.”

“How did Charles know I was divorced?” Stella was puzzled

She hadn’t planned to announce the divorce. As long as she didn’t say anything, no one would know, and she wouldn’t be targeted by Simon’s enemies

*Jessica mentioned it to him,” Brian said calmly.

“I’m not wrong to blame her, then. If she hadn’t blabbed, how could Charles have tricked me into going to Room 1067” Stella didn’t think she was wrong. This was Jessica’s fault from the start.

“Brian, believe me. I didn’t mean it at first. I just mentioned it casually. I didn’t know things would escalate like this.” Jessica looked pitifully at Brian.
