When they reached Yolvencrest Estate, Stella’s hair was damp and sticking to her tiny delicate face. Brian moved her long hair out of her face and carried her upstairs. When she lay in bed, she was still in the mood for jokes. “Has your leg recovered?” she asked.
“Almost,” he answered.
“Did you remove the braces?”
“I did this afternoon,” he said with a deep voice. Seeing how uncomfortable she looked, he grabbed a towel to wipe off her sweat.
“Joseph is almost here. Hold on just a while longer.” He helped her up and fed her some water.
Stella’s mind had stopped working, and she wouldn’t let go after taking two sips of water in his embrace. She was burning and didn’t want to leave Brian after touching his cold skin. She snuggled tightly in his
arms.
“Stella?” He felt slightly awkward.
She looked like she had a ton of makeup on her face that made her blush brightly. “It’s so hot.”
“Is it really that bad?” he asked.
“Yeah…” she muttered. She didn’t know why, but she suddenly found his thin lips sexy and reached out to touch them. Brian didn’t avoid her. Instead, he looked down at her. A dangerous gleam of passion flickered in his gaze.
“Brian…” she called out to him weakly.
“Huh?”
“How weird… I was the one who was drugged, but why are you warm to the touch as well?” she muttered as she brought her lips closer to him and gently kissed him. Brian breathed heavily and wasn’t satisfied with such teasing.
So he grabbed her head from behind and kissed her deeply,
Stella closed her eyes, and he hugged her tight as his gaze showed that he was getting out of control,

Stella’s eyes were closed, and she thought she heard someone knocking on the door. She asked Brian, “Is someone knocking on the door?”
Of course there was. Joseph was knocking on the door outside the room. However, Brian ignored it and coaxed her as he looked at her relaxed expression. “No one’s knocking on the door. Focus.”
“Brian, I’ve brought the medicine! Open the door now!” Joseph knocked on the door outside like an anxious cat on hot bricks.
Stella could hear him faintly, so she opened her eyes in a daze and said, “There really is someone outside. I think it’s Dr. Sanders.. He’s probably here with the medicine…”
Unexpectedly, she still remembered that at a time like this, and she stuttered, “Brian, you… should get the
door now…”
She struggled and wanted to get off his body. He grabbed her and didn’t let go. “Don’t move.”
“Brian? Where is he? Didn’t he tell me to come to Yolvencrest Estate? Why is no one home?” After Joseph
yelled outside and didn’t get a response, he called Brian.
When the phone on the bedside table rang, Joseph heard it from the outside as well. He placed his ear against the wall and yelled, “Brian, are you inside?”
Brian lost control a little, but he knew that was all he could do that night–He stopped what he was doing
and let go of Stella. Then, he got out of bed to open the door.
When the–door was opened, Joseph looked at Brian with his phone in his hand. “Brian, what happened to
you two? Why didn’t you answer me when I’ve called you so many times?”
Brian’s expression was cold. “Where’s the medicine?”
Joseph passed him a box of medicine. After Brian accepted it, Joseph wanted to see Stella, so he pushed the door open to enter the room. However, Brian stopped Joseph with his leg and didn’t allow the latter to

“How should the medicine be taken?” Brian asked.
“Take two pills with water.” Joseph was confused. ‘Brian, why are you blocking the way? Let me see how
Stella is doing.”
“There’s no need for that. Scram.” After receiving the medicine, Brian slammed the door shut.
Joseph yelled furiously outside, “Damn it! I’ve been abandoned after delivering the medicine. Brian, you’re
inhumane!”
“Go back.” Brian’s voice came through the thick door, and Joseph stood outside speechlessly.
Brian walked back into the room with the medicine in his hand. It felt warm inside, and it looked like
Stella’s energy was drained as she lay on the pillow. She was in a complete daze, and her face was red
like a rose.
“Take this pill, and you’ll feel better in a while.” He helped her get up. Stella clung to him and delicately took the pill. Her gaze still seemed lost.
“Are you feeling better?” Brian asked ten minutes later,
The medicine seemed to have worked, and her body was slowly cooling down. Stella was soberer than before, and she looked at him and said softly, “Thank you.”
“What happened earlier tonight?” Seeing how she was sober, he wanted to ask her about it. However, Stella seemed to be tired as she fell asleep after blinking her eyes a couple of times.
Brian didn’t stay in the room for too long. He went to take a shower and called Mit Charles say?”
“He said that he thought you and Mrs. Foley had gotten a divorce,” Mike answered.

“What did you say to Charles tonight?” he asked her sternly
She knew that she couldn’t hide it from him anymore, so she said, “Charles asked me about Stella earlier
tonight. I thought they knew each other, so I told him that you two had gotten a divorce.”
“Who told you that you could say that?” Brian’s tone was cold.
Jessica’s heart skipped a beat, and she broke out in cold sweat. “I’m sorry, Brian. If I had known would cause her so much pain, I definitely wouldn’t have said that. It was all my fault.”
She admitted her mistakes sincerely.
“Next time, don’t try to act smart when it comes to other people’s businesses,” he said sternly.
“I’m sorry.” Jessica apologized again.

snuggled up in the blanket. He sat next to her and tucked her hair away, silently watching her sleep. “Do you know how dangerous it is outside now?” he said as he sighed.
