Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 142

Chapter 142

Stella lowered her gaze and said calmly, “It’s not that I don’t want to get a divorce, but the one–month

cooling–off period hasn’t passed yet.”

There were still over ten days left until the one–month cooling–off period ended

Jessica nodded. “I know that, but can you please move out of Yolvencrest Estate? Don’t stay there anymore. In case anything happens, Mrs. Foley won’t be able to handle it.”

Jessica used Sharon to threaten her. It meant that if Stella didn’t agree, it would be her fault if something happened to Sharon.

Jessica was really going all out. Stella asked in a hoarse voice, “Ms. Xenos, can you return the bag to me?”

“What?” Jessica was momentarily stunned. She didn’t understand why Stella suddenly mentioned the bag. “Why do you suddenly want this bag from me?”

“Because I sold it to you, and Brian asked me to return the money to him. I owe him 40 thousand dollars

now and can’t leave Yolvencrest Estate. If you want me to move out, it’s simple.

“Just give me the bag in your hand, and then I’ll return 25 thousand dollars to you. I’ll take the bag back to Brian, and our debt contract will be dissolved.”  Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Surprised, Jessica looked at her. “Brian asked you to return him 40 thousand dollars?”

“Yeah, he said this bag is worth 40 thousand dollars.”

Jessica couldn’t believe it. Brian, who usually looked so cool, actually used such a ridiculous reason to keep Stella by his side.

She didn’t believe that Brian didn’t have feelings for Stella. But in the end, she was the one who would win.

Jessica returned the bag to Stella and applied for a refund for the bag on the website.

Stella returned 25 thousand dollars to her, then left with the bag. As she reached the elevator, her phone

rang. It was Brian.

“Hello,” Stella answered.

“Why aren’t you back yet?” Brian had just woken up. It was already dark outside, but Stella hadn’t returned

yet.

Upon receiving his call, Stella felt her nose tingling, so she didn’t say anything.

“What’s wrong?” Brian asked, sensing her unhappiness,

Stella wiped away the tears from the care of her eyes and said softly, “Nothing. I’m coming back now.”

“I just received some news.”

“What news?”

Chapter 142

“You sold the bracelet I–gave you, too.” He was holding the broken bracelet in his hand right now. Joseph had bought it back when he saw it.

At the mention of this, Stella’s eyes immediately welled up with tears.

“What’s wrong? Are you crying?” Brian heard her choke up and felt a tightness in his chest.

Stella muttered, “So why did you call? To interrogate me?” She was already feeling miserable, and he still wanted to question her.

Brian was taken aback for a moment‘ and then said, “No, I just found out that the bracelet was broken. Did

you sell it after it broke?”

“Yeah.”

“It’s not damaged. I’ll have someone fix it for you later. Don’t throw it away anymore.” Brian’s voice sounded very gentle over the phone.

Stella didn’t say anything. Her eyes were swollen from the tears. Finally, she said, “I’m coming back now.”

It was better to talk to him face–to–face.

“Okay,” Brian replied. He then called Yvonne to make some spicy dishes that Stella liked.

Yvonne asked, “What should I make, Mr. Foley?*

“She likes shrimp. Make it in a crispy style. Also, make some spicy garlic pasta and mushroom soup. She

likes mushrooms.”

Yvonne stole a glance at Brian. Although he was usually taciturn, he knew Stella’s taste like the back of

his hand.

Yvonne found it strange. Brian rarely came back, so why did he know Stella’s preferences so well?
