Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 141

Chapter 141

Stella slowly entered the ward. Sharon lay in the intensive care unit. Her once glamorous face became significantly thinner.

It was no wonder Brian had been in a bad mood since returning from the hospital. It was because

Sharon’s condition wasn’t good

“Take a seat,” Sharon said while gesturing to the chair as she received her IV.

Stella obediently sat down. Sharon glanced at her IV line and said, “The test results came back today, and  S~ᴇaʀᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

my condition is bad. I might need surgery in the next few days.”

Stella nodded. She knew Sharon had more to say, so she listened attentively.

“I heard you’ve been staying at Yolvencrest Estate these past few days.”

Hearing that, Stella stiffened and looked at Sharon. It turned out that Sharon knew everything.

“Are you afraid that if something happens to me, you won’t be able to save your dad?” Sharon’s voice was

weak but direct.

Stella shook her head. “No, Sharon. I didn’t think about that.”

“That’s good.” Sharon reached out to her. Stella quickly got up and moved closer to her, allowing Sharon.

to hold her hand

Sharon patted her hand and said, “Stella, don’t worry. I’ve already entrusted this matter to Jessica. Even If

dad.” my surgery fails, she’ll definitely help you save your

Stella’s heart sank. Jessica taking over this matter would indirectly put Stella in a vulnerable position.

Sharon continued, “Jessica is pregnant with Brian’s child. I already consider her Brian’s wife. Could you leave Brian for my sake and fulfill my last wish?”

As she held Stella’s hand, her eyes were dull.

“Don’t worry, Sharon, I promised you I would divorce Brian, I haven’t brought it up lately because you were in the hospital, and I didn’t want Brian to be too distracted.” Stella reassured her.

“I know you’re good to me, but it’s alright. You do what you need to do. I know your intentions are good,” Sharon said weakly before coughing a few times.

Stella patted her back. At that moment, Jessica returned. She politely said to Stella, “Let me take care of

Mrs. Foley.”

With that, she took over Stella’s task. Sharon smiled, and the two exchanged a glance. Their affectionate Interaction caused a pang in Stella’s heart.

It seemed Sharon really liked Jessica. The latter seemed adept at winning over the elders‘ favor.

Stella sat quietly for a while. Sensing Sharon’s fatigue, she seized the moment and stood up. Sharon, you

should rest. I’ll leave now.”

“Okay. Let Jessica walk you out,” Sharon said.

“Alright.” Jessica nodded. After helping Sharon lie down, she walked Stella out of the room.

“Can we talk for a moment?” Jessica asked once they were outside.

Stella glanced at what Jessica was carrying–the bag she had bought from her.

“Go ahead,” Stella said.

Jessica rubbed her stomach. The baby is 14 weeks old today and will soon show. Mrs. Foley has named him Ethan Foley, which means strong, firm, and enduring.”

Without a word, Stella quietly looked at Jessica’s belly.

“Stella, Mrs. Foley has accepted me. She said she’d let me marry Brian after her surgery. Jessica lowered herself and looked at Stella pitifully.

“She hopes I can fulfill this wish for her, so I’m asking you, can you please divorce Brian soon?” After saying this, she looked at Stella’s expression and noticed it was pale.

Jessica continued, “Mrs. Foley has already instructed that if anything happens to her after the surgery, I’ll help you save your dad. But the condition is that you have to divorce Brian.”

Her words combined kindness with authority. She was telling Stella that she knew about Simon’s situation. If Stella didn’t comply, she could also take action against Simon.

Stella found herself being manipulated.
