Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 130

Chapter 130

Brian approached them with deliberate steps. His eyes were icecold as they swept over Blair.

Blair blushed and seemed visibly intimidated. She had always held Brian in high regard. But under his intense gaze, she could barely find her voice.

“Mr. Foley…” she managed to utter weakly.

Brian withdrew his steely gaze and turned to Stella. “Have you contacted the reporters yet? If not, I can take care of it.”

Blair’s face drained of color as fear gripped her. She anxiously looked toward Stella,

Stella, in contrast to Blair’s nervous demeanor, seemed only mildly surprised. She tilted her head and looked at Brian. “What brings you here?”

“If I hadn’t come, how would I have seen firsthand how the Yates family is bullying you?” Brian’s icy stare fixed back on Blair.

Blair was so frightened that her legs went weak. If her friends hadn’t been supporting her, she might have collapsed.

Mike stepped forward. “Mrs. Foley, should I get the reporters here for you?”

Stella was about to respond when Blair seized her hand urgently. “Please, Stella! Spare my father!”

“You were the one who insisted your father was innocent and that I’m the ungrateful niece driving your family to ruin, right?” Stella pointed at the sign they had brought.

Blair turned pale and swiftly hid the sign. “Stella, I made a mistake. We shouldn’t have come. Please don’t Involve the reporters. Let’s just go.”

“You think you can come and go as you please?” Brian’s voice dripped with disdain.

Blair’s fear overwhelmed her, and she dropped to her knees. “Stella, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I won’t ever do this again.”  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Her sobs echoed through the tense silence as she repeatedly apologized. At that moment, Blair’s phone rang insistently. She hesitated for a second before answering.

On the line, Claudia’s urgent voice crackled. “Blair, get to the hospital now! Dad was in a terrible accident this afternoon. He got hit by a car, and they had to amputate his leg…”

Blair’s face drained of color as she glanced nervously at Brian, who stood like an unyielding figure of authority.

“T–This isn’t over, Stella,” Blair managed to say, her voice shaking with fear. “But right now… my dad’s been in an accident. I need to go to the hospital.

“Please don’t involve the reporters. We can sort this out later.”

She scrambled to her feet and rushed out of the room. Her friends hastily gathered their things and followed behind.

Their bold confrontation with Stella had crumbled into an embarrassing retreat, leaving them reeling with the unexpected turn of events.

Once everyone had left, Stella and Brian made their way into the studio. “Were you seriously going to call the reporters?” Brian asked.

Stella shrugged nonchalantly. “Nah, I’m just trying to rattle her. I’m so sick of her moral high ground, so I figured scaring her off might do the trick.”

Brian grinned and nodded in approval. “Not a bad strategy, actually.‘

Glancing at him sidelong, Stella chuckled softly. “Maybe so, but I’d rather not end up as tabloid fodder.”

“Mr. Foley, our appointment is coming up soon,” Mike interjected.

Brian nodded. “Right. Let’s get going.”

Stella arched an eyebrow. “Where are we headed?”

“You’ll find out soon enough,” Brian said with a hint of mystery while gently squeezing her hand.

Stella looked down at their joined hands, and her heart inexplicably raced. Brian had been treating her much better lately.

When they arrived, she realized it was a private cinema. And it was booked just for them and was completely empty.

Stella was a bit surprised and looked at Brian. He had already walked in with his usual grace, selecting at seat in the middle. He looked every bit the part of the charming, handsome gentleman.

Stella blushed.

The seats in this cinema were recliners. It was the kind notoriously known for couples looking to get intimate.

“Why are you standing there? Come here,” Brian called to her. Stella’s feet felt like lead, and she could feel a slight sheen of sweat on her palms.

“Why are we here?” she asked.

“Joseph booked it. He said he didn’t have time to come, so he suggested I take you to a movie,” Brian replied. So that was how it was.

Stella breathed out softly. If Joseph had booked it, it fit his carefree, playboy personality.

Lying back in the chair, she felt very uncomfortable. Her fingers slightly curled in her lap

The movie began playing, and the lights overhead dimmed. Stelle was completely engrossed when she felt an arm wrap around her waist. She was startled and looked up.

Brian fixed his gaze on her, then unexpectedly squeezed the soft flesh at her waist.

“What are you doing?” Stella’s face flushed.

“I just thought you were adorable,” he said, his eyes holding hers as he reached up to gently tuck a stray

lock of hair behind her ear.

As his fingers brushed against her ear, it sent a shiver through her. Stella’s toes curled instinctively.

“Come here,” he said, pulling her close.

Stella was caught off guard as he drew her into his embrace. She nestled against his shoulder like a cat. Brian glanced at her with a pleased expression, then gently cupped her cheek and kissed her.

Stella felt a sudden jolt like lightning coursing through her, and she instinctively grabbed his arm. “Brian,

what are you doing?”

“Call me Bri,” he whispered softly as he gently clasped her delicate fingers.

Stella’s heart skipped a beat as he kissed her once more. He held her firmly. His kiss was possessive and

intense.

Stella had to admit she was beginning to lose herself at the moment.

Brian seldom revealed such hunger for her. She couldn’t help but place her hands on his shoulders, responding to his kiss with soft moans. Upon hearing her gentle voice, Brian’s eyes snapped open with

emotions and desire.

After the movie ended, Stella could barely stand on her own. Noticing her unsteady state, Brian grinned

and bent down to scoop her up.

Stella was startled and looked at him. “Bri…”

The confusion in her eyes was clear. Her face was as red as a ripe tomato. Brian chuckled softly, “Feeling overwhelmed?”

Stella was too embarrassed to respond. She hid her face in his shoulder and refused to meet his gaze.
