Chapter 1574: I Don't Assert Myself Either
The Leoz Group was gaining momentum, its stock rising steadily, adding hundreds of millions of dollars to its total market value.
Rawlins looked at the stock market, and the hatred in his eyes grew stronger.
For a while he had been glad when the toxic material came to light, thinking that the Leoz Group would still lose a lot of money even if it regained its reputation this time. What about now?
Not only has it recovered its reputation, but its market value has gone up.
I don't know if it's Marcos' luck or not.
No matter what mess the Leoz Group is in, he has a way to save the day: a formidable opponent!
However, it's not bad either.
The Bartram Group and others have started working together and several big projects have been agreed upon.
The strong alliance has also caused a stir throughout the business world.
At the thought of this, Rawlins smiled complacently, believing that soon the Bartram Group would overtake the Leoz Group in terms of momentum.
At that point, he could easily take care of the Leoz Group and Marcos!
Compared to Rawlins' smooth sailing, Chris was having a hard time these days.
After the failure of the last Rawlins deal, Rawlins gradually withdrew some of his cooperation, which made his side of the story very shaky.
With the deliberate and unintentional suppression of the Bartram Group, his company is in a very difficult position and, if he is not careful, it will all end. "Chairman, although we have negotiated a partnership with Bergerian, with our current situation, I am afraid we will not be able to deliver our funds." What the assistant said was not clear to Chris.
He raised a hand to rub the corner of his sore forehead and asked in a gravelly voice, "Any word from Gerst?" "No."
Chris narrowed his eyes, "What the hell does that mean?"
It had been a few days, so whether they wanted to work with him or not, they had to give him a clear answer.
"No, I have to contact Bauer and ask for clarification." said Chris.
He couldn't wait any longer.
He had to work with Gerst as soon as possible or his life would be even harder.
Chris called Bauer and, as soon as he was answered, he said enthusiastically, "Hello, Mr. Bauer, this is Chris.... I wonder if your boss would like to see me." "Just a moment."
At that point, Bauer looked up and lowered his voice to ask Eliazar what he meant, and when he saw that Eliazar nodded, he replied, "Mr. Chris, our president has agreed to see you. What time is good for you?" Chris was delighted and, suppressing the excitement inside him, said, "Anytime for me."
"Tomorrow, then."
"Good."
After hanging up the phone, Chris indicated to his assistant, "Book me the flight, I have to leave the country in the evening today." "Yes."
The assistant directed the order and hurried off.
Meanwhile, Bauer looked at Eliazar, "The appointment is set, see you tomorrow."
Eliazar nodded slightly, "Hmm."
He hadn't agreed to meet Chris earlier, just to meet him and give him a head start.
Now that he had achieved his goal, it was time for him to meet with Chris, otherwise it would be difficult to implement the prince's further plans.
The next day, once Chris left the airport, he got into the car that came to pick him up and went straight to the Gestalt Group.
When he arrived, Eliazar was still in a meeting and Bauer took him to the lounge to wait for a while.
After about thirty minutes, Eliazar pushed open the door and walked in.
Chris, who had been sitting, stood up, smiled and extended his right hand, "Hello, President Eliazar, it's good to finally meet you."
Eliazar shook his hand and said casually, "Sit down."
When they were seated, Chris looked impassively at Eliazar.
He expected Eliazar to be quite a bit older, but not that he was so young.
Chris looked away and stated his intention immediately, "President Eliazar, you are one of the shareholders of my company and you know the current situation of the company, I don't think you want to see the company in such a state..." "Do you want to work with Gestalt?" interrupted Eliazar, picking him up dryly.
Chris froze, "Yes."
"There's nothing wrong with working together." Eliazar leaned back in his chair and raised an eyebrow, asking with a nonchalant air, "And what kind of terms are you going to offer me?" "That..." Chris couldn't answer for a moment.
To be honest, he couldn't make a good deal given his company's current situation.
Eliazar let out a slight laugh and said slowly, "I am aware of your company's current situation, but I can always dispose of my shares. After all, I don't depend on your company for a living." Chris didn't expect him to be so blunt and his face got a little ugly.
Eliazar slowed down, turned his words around and said, "However, I am quite interested in some of your company's projects."
He said it like that, believing that Chris should be able to understand the meaning of his words.
Chris did understand, but played dumb, "I don't understand what you mean."
Eliazar turned his smile away, lowered his gaze and straightened his fists, "I want to be involved in those projects."
You bet!
Chris's smile became a little forced, "I never thought my projects would get the attention of Eliazar's president." Of course they would.
Those were some of the most important projects for Chris' company at the time.
"So Mr Chris, can you agree?" Eliazar looked at him with a smirk.
Chris pursed his lips and did not answer.
Eliazar smiled and said nonchalantly, "It seems that Sister Chris is in a difficult situation. In that case, I won't impose myself. As you know, there are too many companies that want to work with Gerst every day." The implication was that he wasn't the only one.
Chris's eyes narrowed and he said with a smile on his face, "Eliazar, it's not for me to decide, I have to go back and talk to the shareholders."
"Fine." Eliazar nodded, "Then go back and discuss it. Hurry up, I think your domestic company is having a hard time."
At those words, Chris's face instantly sank.
It looked like Eliazar had done all the research and was just waiting for him to show up on his own.
