Love Comes To Me

Chapter 1573: Who wouldn't like you?

Paulina's cheeks tinged scarlet and she glared at him, "Enough, it's time to leave."

Next, she walked over to the mirror and painted her lips.

"Good."

Mark looked at her with tenderness in his eyes and went to the checkroom to get a trench coat and threw it over his shoulders. "Put it on first, it's cold outside." Paulina knew her body couldn't be neglected, so she put it on.

The two walked out together and by the time they reached the top floor of the hotel, laughter could already be heard.

Paulina walked in with Mark on her arm and the staff, who had been chatting, looked in their direction in unison.

Paulina was a little embarrassed to be the center of attention, but kept her smile warm and generous.

"Mr. Marcos, Madam President." Two senior executives approached together and greeted them respectfully.

Marcos nodded slightly, "Yes."

It was the usual shyness of the words.

Paulina could not help a slight smile and said, "This celebration party today is for you to relax, no need to be so formal."

With her words, everyone naturally felt relieved, and the atmosphere gradually returned to the lively mood of the beginning. Soon after, other employees came over to toast.

Paulina drank a little so as not to spoil the party, but Marcos didn't let her drink too much for her health.

While Marcos was chatting with some executives, a girl in her twenties approached Paulina with a piece of cake.

"Madam President, you are so beautiful. And you are so nice to be with, you have no attitude!".

The girl handed her the cake.

She took it and smiled slightly, "Thank you, you're beautiful too."

"Hey, you're really good this time. My boss told me that it was you who saved the day and prevented losses to the company." The girl looked at her, eyes full of admiration. Paulina couldn't help but laugh, "It's not just me, it's everyone's joint effort. Everyone in the company is great."

...

When the other employees saw how friendly she was, they couldn't help but approach her two by two and chat with her.

Only when Marcos slowly approached them did they scatter in annoyance.

Paulina looked at Marcos and smiled softly, "Why is everyone so afraid of you?"

"Or what, you want them to like me?"

Marcos looked at her mockingly.

"No way."

Paulina shot him a look and lifted her jaw proudly, "They must like me more."

Marcos curved his lips, "Naturally. You're so nice, who wouldn't like you?".

"I found ..."

Paulina looked at him scrutinizingly, under the light in his eyes, before slowly saying, "You speak well today." Suddenly he leaned toward her and his dark eyes rested on her for a moment. "Don't I usually speak well?"

The faint smell of alcohol lingered on his body and Paulina tensed, "That's not what I meant!".

"Then what does it mean?"

She shifted, her tone of voice, nothing changed.

In such a public place, Paulina's cheeks were so red they were almost dripping blood, but she knew she couldn't cum hard with a drunk.

Embarrassed, she could only forcibly change the subject, "I am very happy today, I feel that all the employees of the company are very nice, with employees like that, Grupo Leoz will surely improve as well."

Marcos saw how serious she was and couldn't take any more jokes, so he stood up straight and rubbed her head, "Fine, as long as you are happy."

Once everyone had eaten and had enough to drink, they were ready to go to the next event Alfredo had organized.

Marcos and Paulina left first.

Once outside the hotel, they walked down the road. The driver followed them slowly in his car.

The autumn breeze blew in their faces, slightly chilly.

Paulina unconsciously picked up her trench coat and wrapped her arms around Mark.

"It feels so good not to take a slow walk with you like this for a long time."

Marcos blamed himself a little, "It's me who's been too busy and hasn't had much time for you."

"I don't want to blame you." Paulina stopped and looked at him, "Marcos, I know you are very busy now, all for The Leoz Family to be better and better, and for the children and me to have a quiet life. I know very well how much pressure and responsibility you bear, so I can't blame you."

"I know. Marcos raised his hand to push her locks of hair away from her forehead and laughed helplessly, "Why are you so serious all of a sudden?"

"No." Paulina pursed her lips and looked up at the sky with an increasingly peaceful expression. "You said that, when the children grew up and the Leoz Group was no longer your concern, we should find a quiet place to retire." "Thinking so much at such a young age?" Marcos nudged the tip of her nose.

Paulina looked at him, "Of course. Because I want to be with you for a long time, longer, the rest of my life."

As she said this, a million emotions swept over her, and Paulina threw herself into his arms, wrapping her arms around his waist tightly.

"I never want to be separated from you again."

At those words, Mark's chest felt a little choked with pain, it was his heart that ached for her.

So much had happened over the years and they had been forced to be apart for so long. Even now that they were able to spend time together, he definitely still had doubts.

"Well, never be apart for the rest of your life." Mark hugged her, his palm stroking her soft hair, his voice soft and loving, "Paulina, I love you."

Paulina lifted her head, her eyes sparkling with water, her lips red, "I love you too."

Heart fluttering, Marcos bent his head and kissed her on the lips.

A kiss as lingering and affectionate as could be.

After the kiss, Paulina realized, with hindsight, that this was the street! In an instant, her ears reddened and her head sank into Marcos' arms. "Come back." Marcos rubbed her earlobe and whispered.

Only then did Paulina abandon her embrace and lift her head, her cheeks flushed deeply in the streetlight.

Mark resisted the urge to kiss her again, grabbed her hand and headed for the car parked at the curb.
