A wolf was running close behind that isn't good

Leaving the injured wolf we continued towards the pack house from afar we could see the chaos.

So much for warning the pack, it was already invaded, wolves had attacked screams and grunts blaring, steel on steel and howls of wolves.

Helana's fighting instincts kicked in as she savagely killed one of the attackers who had come for her.

Through Helana's eyes we duck through the mayhem spotting one of Jaden's close guards who was in a sword fight with another. I kill his opponent from behind.

"Alpha Jaden needs help in the forest" I growl loudly through Helana.

The guard gives a nod signaling a few others of them jolt towards the forest.

Helana is charged upon from behind, she crunches a little but attacks back scratching the wolf by the side of his face then a wolf from the pack house attacks him biting into his neck.

Helana was in pain, I went to my room through the mess of blood and dead wolves, changing back to my human form. I pull on a pair of jeans and a striped shirt.

I was bleeding from my back but I ignored the pain, leaving the room I'll never be at ease till I'm certain Jaden is alright.

I heard a scream just as I left the room. It was Shyna a black wolf was on top of her and she was defenseless.

A part of me wanted to walk past, pay deaf ears to her cries but the bigger part of me doesn't let me grabbing a broken lamp from the ground I bash the wolf with my strength he stumbles away from Shyna but it doesn't do much damage as he scowls in my direction Shyna on the other hand scruided off the floor then runs away.

Perfect!

I take a step back on wobbly legs gripping the lamp stand like my life depended on it, leaping towards me I step toward the side dodging the attack but the wolf comes back jumping on top of me his weight pulling me to the floor the lamp in-between the wolf's throaty canines sharp gray eyes and salivating mouth.

I buck my knees upwards using a lot of energy to push the big wolf off me drawing backwards I feel a cold blade behind my back a sword the instant the wolf leaps for an attack I pull the sword out his eyes widened as he transformed back into his human form he was dead.

I push the human off me standing to my feet watching as he lays in his pool of blood.

Without warning I'm pulled into an embrace.

"Hailey... Jaden breathes holding me. I'm stunned for a moment then hug him back he stinked of blood and grass but I don't give a damn about the vile odor the pack house stills for a moment nothing mattered except being in his arms.

"I'm so glad you're safe" he pulls away his eyes darken " you need to head to the safe house Elijah take her" he orders.

"No I'm not going anywhere till we handle this"

"That's for us to decide don't you think so"

"No I don't want to lose you take her to the safe house and that's an order" he says in finality an Alpha's command cannot be broken so I head quietly as the guard leads me to the safe house.

It was in the basement. A metal door blocked out two guards in front. They opened the door letting me in then shutting it.

It was lit up by candles only women and children were down here cowering in fear. I hate the fact I had to stay here with no idea on what Jaden is doing.

We stayed down here for hours. There was food supply, water, some clothes and a toilet.

Some children over time cried till they fell asleep, some women prayed while I was pacing up and down the entrance biting my nails nervously waiting for someone to walk through. Finally it came a deep rumble as the hinges creaked open.

"A single file.. before he could finish the hell he was saying I walk past him and I'm glad for his sake he doesn't stop me cause I had no idea how I would react with so much adrenaline. The mess had been cleared a little but a few blood splatter here and there were still on the walls evident of the attack.

I felt the need to walk towards the left then I heard Jaden, he was angry shouting at his soldiers for some mistake they made.

I felt a burden had been lifted when I saw him. I've never been so grateful that he is alive. I'm guessing he felt it because he turned around and his eyes softened a bit.

"Hailey" he breathes relieved hugging me tight I relish in how safe I felt in his arms.

"Siree" someone called his attention.

"Yes" Jaden turns to him but holds my hand in his.

"Dimitri is missing" he says in a bow

"What do you mean Dimitri is missing?" Jaden blares in genuine concern.

"We've check the route there's no body his scent still lingers on the forest in a circle we couldn't trace"

"Check again" Jaden commands " Scan the area look everywhere find me Dimitri" the guard shakes under the sound of his voice.

'Yes sire" frightened the guard and left in a hurry. I felt a hollow feeling Dimitri is missing? Where had he gone? Was he alright? Is he dead? Was he kidnapped? "Don't worry about it," Jaden says, kissing the deep lines on my temples.

We'll find him" Jaden said, muscles tensed.

"Jay" someone says and I'm stunned who dared call him by name.

"Yes Rustave" Jaden replies

"Your dad requests you be present today" I looked at the man, my eyes widened in recognition, he was the same man who had called me by my mother's name. He glances at me expressionless, then looks back at Jaden.

"Where's Shyne?" Jaden asks.

"The Royal house every Royal member is safe there"

"Okay I'll report to him when I handle things back here"Jaden says dismissing him, with a bow he leaves.
