Killing My Alpha Mate

Chapter 20

HAILEY STEWARTS

I couldn't even hold Jaden up to six minutes without someone beckoning him and weirdly I miss him.

Someone I have hated for years now my heart's yearning for him.

Plus Rustave is someone close to him for someone to call Jaden by his first name means they had a sort of connection.

If I wanted to find something about Rustave and the connection he had with my mom I had to get to it through Jaden.

"Woah what's going on?" I ask when I see two young skinny girls in my room both wearing brown gowns with dusty blonde hair.

"Alpha Jaden requested we move your things to his room ma" I don't know what shocks me more the fact Jaden wants me in his room or she just called me ma'.

"Please leave" I pleaded softly, rubbing my head.

17

Okay ma" they bow and leave.

Why the hell would Jaden instruct this not, like there was much to move to open my cupboard, they had cleared all my clothes and necklace banging the empty drawer shut I stomp to Jaden's room.

The packed house was still in repair and I felt he wasn't in it but just in case I still ask.

The door opens up and the two girls who just left my room are standing in the doorway.

"Is Jaden here?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

"No, ma'am the Alpha ain't around but he left this for you" holding a paper she hands it and I take it from her.

The note read;

"If you want your necklace you have to follow their orders no matter how challenging it is, dangerous it may be don't worry you won't feel a thing" Scrunching the note in my hands I look at the two ladies who fidget at my gaze making me exhale calmly.

"What does he want me to do?" I asked through gritted teeth"

The girls in glee started mentioning a series of makeovers they wanted to try on me making me scowl in distaste this was going to be a problem. JADEN PERRY

I was annoyed at myself and my father had just given me a detailed reason why I should be.

All my life I had to live up to his standards, his glory, and his name.

Since I was a little boy I had to learn the fundamentals of being an Alpha.

I had trained for it all but still, he acts like it would kill him to appreciate me.

The fact I had Hailey waiting for me at home somehow heals the ache in me reaching for my pocket. I bring out the boxes.

If not for these she'll not do it for the clothes she'd rather wear her old ones than give me what I want. I love the simplistic nature of her character. I can't wait to see her.

Not to mention a missing Dimitri, no hostages, a little killed, and a lot injured. How can one ambush make so much difference with no clue about how it happened there had to be a flunk in the system.

They hadn't attacked from the forest, we had been there, Dimitri and I would have caught their scents. The forest was a backup plan I'm guessing.

I'll have to see through the matter deeply if it was a big one the pack would have been wiped out but first I had to round things up with Hailey.

Dimitri is one of my best-trained warriors and I've always taken him like a brother but without him around I'll have the time to make Hailey mine. All mine.

"Alpha" my driver called from the driver's seat and looked at me through the rear mirror.

"Yes Alfred"

"Incoming call from your dad"

Shit! I say inward I'm tempted to say let it ring go to voicemail but knowing my dad he'll get to me if he wants regardless of what he needs to do even if it's to come down here himself. "Answer," I say exhaling.

"Sir....

"7

Jaden we need to talk I just got new information we need to settle" his voice blares from the speakers after all these years I was still frightened of him.

"Can we talk about it later... I ask knowing the answer.

"No!" He scrolls in distaste. "Is there anything more important than your Alpha duties?"

"No sir, it's just that I got to check on the pack house. I'm in the car and we're already there...

"Turn the fucking car around you come to me or I come to you do I make myself clear," he says calmly without a response he ended the call.

Yes sir" I mumbled regardless.

There was no escape from this Alfred turns the car around without being told to, looking at the time it was past 6.

I hope this meeting won't take long. With a sign I rub my temples slumping deeper into my seat.

HAILEY STEWARTS.

It was late, no moon up in the sky I had been staring for a while.... Waiting.

Those girls had miracles on their fingertips. I've been bathed, scrubbed to the teeth, soaked in a Jasmine bubble bath and my hair has been washed and my whole body massaged, creamed, and oiled.

My hair had been dried and combed and pinned into a French bun. Makeup had been added. I wasn't comfortable with it but it looked really good I must admit.

They helped me in a long blue gown with a split up to my thighs.

The gown looked lovely on me hanging in the right places and a large part of me couldn't wait for how Jaden would react.

I lost that hope having waited and waited and waited but he didn't walk through the door. The girls had come back with a tray of food and I didn't reject it. I needed a distraction.

I had removed the gown and worn something suitable for sleeping.

I hope Jaden wouldn't mind if I slept in his bed. Frankly speaking, I was mad at him.

Why let me go through all this trouble for nothing, if he wasn't going to make it why make me wait for the hopelessness that I had no right to be mad at him nag at me, he had rejected me and I was a slave bound to follow my Alpha's orders if I liked it or not. The mattress was soft underneath me, softer than the one which was close to a rock. I slept relishing in its comfort. It doesn't take much time for me to fall asleep.

"Hailey...

"Mhmm" I whine shutting my eyes with force and clutching the bed sheet tighter "Go away"

"Hailey" I hear again, holy shit I wasn't dreaming I flutter my eyes to see a blurry Jaden. "Jaden, what are you doing here?" I ask roughly, sitting up lousily and wiping my eyes.
