Finding Emery

Emery woke through the night screaming for her daddy. This wasn't unusual at all and Kody and Taz were the only ones who weren't surprised it happened. Bentley had been given a room on the same floor, so he could care for Emery and was woken by Jasper to check that Emery was physically fine after her nightmare. Emery had gone back to having that far away look in her eyes and didn't want to go back to sleep at all.

Seb scooped up Emery in his arms and she held him tightly. She was shaking like a leaf and had relived the day her daddy had the red stuff on his head. This time though it was her daddy and mummy together and they were blaming her for not being able to wake up. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Emery wailed over and over again. "Hey hey it's fine, you are safe here" Seb repeated but it wasn't calming Emery down at all.

"Emery, you need to calm down princess" Bentley said firmly. He knew she would pass out if she kept at it. "It's my fault mummy and daddy didn't wake up" Emery wailed. They had told her that it was her fault before she opened her eyes and she believed them. "It's not your fault at all Emery" uncle Mike assured her but it was to late. Emery started to see the black spots in her vision before passing out on Seb.

"What is she talking about? Did Emery witness her mother and father's death?" Bentley asked. He knew Emery was physically healing but her mental health was a completely different issue. "She was the one to find her mother overdosed on drugs. She didn't see her father being killed from what we know. She did spend a few days with his body after though. She was then on her own living in a shed for two years waiting for her father to come back" Michael explained while rubbing his hand through Emery's curls.

Bentley was lost in thought, the poor little girl had been through hell in her short time on this earth. "It's my opinion, that she will need to see a psychologist immediately. We don't know the mental trauma this has had on her. I'm guessing from Taz and Kody's reactions that this is a regular occurrence" Bentley stated. Both Taz and Kody nodded their heads yes. "Unless she sleeps with someone and for the last week she hasn't liked to be touched" Taz added.

"Right, from now on someone will be sleeping with her until we get her in to see a psychologist" Uncle Mike stated. He wanted to stay the night with her now but it didn't look like Seb was going to be letting go of the little girl any time soon. "Well seeing she is in my arms now, you can all leave" Seb stated with a smirk on his face. "How often in the night does she usually wake?" Bentley asked wanting to know if he should be staying in the room. "Well, she usually doesn't go back to sleep, Taz and I tag team the night" Kody explained.

"Ok someone grab me a mattress, I'll be staying in here with Emery" Bentley stated after hearing she woke several times a night. "Absolutely not" Uncle Mike barked. He didn't want a strange man in Emery's room at all. It was bad enough that Kody had slept in the same room as Emery. Uncle Mike wouldn't allow another man who wasn't family to be in the same room as Emery while she slept. "I'm a trained nurse, who else is going to be able to take her medial stats?, someone else can stay in here with me" Bentley stated.

Uncle Mike was not happy at all and wished he had a female nurse for Emery although he couldn't argue with the medical side of things. "You can stay in my room which is right next door to Emery" Kody offered seeing Michael still hadn't bothered to answer. "That way you can hear her if she wakes" Kody clarified going red in the face in the process. "Ok" Bentley said looking at Kody. "But won't your boyfriend mind?" Bentley asked while pointing at Taz. Bentley had assumed that Taz and Kody were a thing seeing he was told they tag teamed through the night.

Jasper and Chase burst out laughing. Taz just shook his head, he liked Kody as a mate, but he was very much interested in women. "We aren't a couple, we are mates that's it" Taz clarified before stomping out of the room to get to bed. Bentley was embarrassed but didn't say anything. "Come on, I'll show you the room then I'll head to the guest room" Kody mumbled. "Kody you will stay in the room next to Emery. You are her guard after all" Chase sung out seeing both men blushing like school girls at each other.

Kody and Bentley headed into Kody's room. Kody offered Bentley the bed and took the couch. Yes he liked Bentley but he wasn't going to take advantage of the situation. He also wasn't interested in random hook ups at all.

Uncle Mike, Chase and Jasper headed off to bed after kissing Emery on the head while Seb got comfortable with Emery laying on his chest. He couldn't help but smile at the little girl as she gripped his shirt and Nix. She was snuggling into him more then usual and he was happy.

Emery woke in the morning still on Seb's chest. She was warm and comfortable but could hear people whispering. When she stretched her arms and legs she accidentally kicked Seb in the groin causing him to sit up quickly groaning. Bentley was the only one that noticed the kick and couldn't help but snicker at the look on Seb's face.

"Morning princess Emery" Bentley chirped out when Emery was finished stretching. This caused Emery to jump a little cause she didn't realise there were other people in the room. "So I'm going to quickly check you, then I want you to eat some breakfast" Bentley stated causing Emery to groan. She didn't feel hungry especially when she had just woken up. It was to early in the morning for that. "Actually it's 10am so it's more like brunch" uncle Mike stated after Emery had spoken her thoughts, before adding "I made you the omelette with bacon you like, no cheese or green specks". Emery smiled a little before focusing on what Bentley was doing.
