Finding Emery

Emery slept the entire night holding onto Taz. Uncle Mike had returned two hours later with Jasper and Chase to check why Taz hadn't messaged him. They had reluctantly let Emery sleep and had eaten dinner without her. Seb had joined them after a while smiling to himself. He had inflicted maximum pain onto Owen but he was still alive for now.

When it came time to go to bed, everyone wanted Emery to sleep with them or to be put in her own room. Taz had promised he wouldn't leave her, so he had taken her to his room to sleep. Emery had not let go of him once at all. When she woke in the morning she didn't know where she was at all. But she smiled to herself seeing Taz had kept his word and not left her.

Taz was still sleeping when she woke up and she really needed to do a wee. She began to squirm not knowing where the toilets were but Taz kept on sleeping. Emery managed to get off the bed with Nix and headed to the door. She opened it and found a hallway and decided to go looking for a bathroom.

Emery closed the door quietly and crept along the hallway checking the doors to find a bathroom. They all seemed to be bedrooms though and she was getting desperate. "Hey, what are you doing?" A guy called out when he spotted Emery in the hallway. He was one of the guards and was on duty until 7am. It was currently 6.30 in the morning and the sun was coming up which meant it was normal for Emery to wake. She went to sleep when the sun went down and woke when the sun came up.

Emery swung around looking at the man who was pulling down his shirt sleeve. The guy spotted Emery and a wicked smile took over his face. "I asked, what you are doing?" the guy barked. He knew the Quake's were heavy sleepers and would not be awake for hours. He also knew this was the girl that the red snakes were looking for and he would be rewarded nicely for bringing her in.

"I need to do a wee" Emery mumbled, she wasn't feeling very comfortable at all. She had spotted some of the red picture on his arm. "The bathroom is there" the guy pointed out. He didn't want her pissing her pants when he took her. Emery nodded her head and went into the bathroom locking the door in the process cause she didn't feel safe with that man.

Emery did her business but didn't want to come out of the toilet. She knew that the man was bad news. She was trying to think what her daddy would do in this situation to alert the other people to what was happening. She knew she needed to make noise so other people heard.

Emery slammed the glass soap container on the ground hoping someone who hear. The guy bang on the door "hurry up little girl" he called. He had heard the smash and was worried someone else would hear it too. Emery put her ear to the door listening for a sign anyone else was out there. "Open the door now" the man seethed out.

Emery banged on the back on the door trying to stall until someone heard them. "Open the fucken door" the man screamed getting annoyed that the little girl was taking so long. Emery banged on the door screaming "marco" hoping that would help. She remembered playing Marco Polo with her daddy and he would find her that way.

Taz woke hearing banging and got annoyed. He turned over and couldn't find Emery at all. He jumped out of bed thinking Emery had hurt herself somehow and was banging to alert them where she was. "Macro" Taz heard and headed out of his room to find who the hell Emery was playing with so early in the morning.

"Open the fucken door before I kick it in" the man screamed. He knew he needed to get the girl and leave quick smart before the change over of guards. Taz immediately was on alert hearing the man who he recognised as Charles. "Marco" Emery called again but she sounded scared.

Taz moved into his uncles room alerting Michael to someone in his room. "Uncle Mike, it's Emery" Taz began. Michael immediately jumped out of bed grabbing his gun and headed out of his room. He saw one of his men Charles kick the door down of the bathroom and a blood curdling scream followed from someone who he assumed was Emery.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Michael gritted out. Charles had reached into the bathroom to grab ahold of Emery. Charles swung around staring at Michael and Taz. "Boss this girl snuck in. Don't worry I'll take care of it" Charles stated. Chase, Jasper and Seb were now also standing at the door of their rooms. "Red snake" Emery screamed earning a smack to the face by Charles.

Michael pointed the gun at Charles and shot him in the leg. Emery scrambled to the corner of the bathroom, squashing herself beside the toilet. She had never been hit before at all and she was hysterically crying. Taz and Michael raced towards Charles and the door way of the bathroom where Emery had retreated too. Jasper held his gun up, pointing it at Charles so he knew not to move.

More gang members flocked towards the hallway where the gun shot had come from with their own guns drawn. Once Michael got to Charles he knocked him out cold and indicated to Kody to take him to the cells. From what they knew there were another two red snakes that they needed to find. Taz tried to get Emery but he couldn't get her with the way her body was curled into the corner of the bathroom.

"Is she ok?" Seb asked not wanting to crowd the little girl. "She is stuck in the corner and I can't get to her without her coming out by herself" Taz replied. "Emmy, baby come here so I can hold you. I promise the red snake is gone" Taz mumbled. Emery shook her head no, she was in pain and scared. "Emery, I'm sure your face hurts baby and I want to help take the pain away" Taz tried again. Emery looked at Taz with big fat tears rolling down her swollen cheeks. The bruise was already starting to form. Emery shimmered her way out and Taz immediately scooped Emery into his arms. Emery was still crying and now was holding her sore cheek.
