Captivation: Want Nothing But You

Chapter 1667

Pursing her lips, she answered Quintin, “Nothing.

I met her today, so I was a little curious.”

“Okay.

I’ll tell you a secret about her then.”

“What is it?”

“The father of her aborted child is a gangster.”

Rachel’s eyes darkened.

What an interesting revelation!

When the call ended, Rachel was suddenly reminded of Alberto.

If he hadn’t gotten up yet, the cold floor would make him more ill.

At that thought, Rachel quickened her pace back to the house.

When she opened the front door, she was surprised to see the light was on.

Rachel squinted, adjusting her vision from the sudden light and blocked it with her hand.

“Looks like the power is back on,” she muttered as she walked to Alberto’s room.

Stopping at door, she knocked thrice before calling out, “Mr.

Gibson?

I’ve got the medicine.”

But there was no response from Alberto.

It was dead silent inside.

Rachel frowned.

Did he pass out?

Rachel hurriedly pushed the door open.

There was only the wheelchair on the floor.

Alberto was no longer there.

She immediately looked at the bed beside the wheelchair and found a man lying there, who was most likely Alberto.

The mask he had always worn was not on his face but beside his pillow.

Rachel craned her neck to look at the man’s face.

For some reason, her hold on the medicine bag tightened.

She didn’t know why, but she was curious and, at the same time, unprepared for what she would find.

She didn’t know what to expect or be afraid of.

“Mr.

Gibson?” Calling out softly, Rachel finally saw Alberto’s face.

Alberto moved his head at the sound of her voice, and his eyes met hers.

Finally seeing Alberto’s appearance, Rachel let out a sigh of relief.

However, a tinge of disappointment crossed her eyes.

It was so quick that she didn’t even notice she conjured it.
