Chapter 1666
Alberto’s eyes darkened, meeting the man’s curious gaze.
“She doesn’t want to see me.”
He then looked away and dropped the topic before the man could react.
“She’ll be back in a minute.
Go to bed now.”
After that, Alberto left the room.
Outside the house, Rachel took the medicine from the delivery man and went back to the car to look for the flashlights.
She had just found them when her phone buzzed with a text message from Quintin.
Rachel sat in the driver seat and clicked the message open.
Attached to it was a PDF file containing information about Libby.
The file had three pages filled with Libby’s family and educational background, as well as her professional experiences and love life.
At first glance, everything on the file looked ordinary.
Rachel didn’t have any reason to ask Quintin for Libby’s information other than to feed her curiosity about the woman.
She had no intention to associate herself with the issue between Carson and the two sisters of the Moran family.
However, a particular piece of information on the file caught her attention.
“Libby had an abortion?” Rachel immediately put Quintin on the line.
From the file, Libby appeared to be a good girl, treading gracefully on the path her family had cultivated for her.
Thus, it was quite shocking to find a piece of information about abortion in her file.
Of course, premarital pregnancies were no longer frowned upon in this day and age, and Rachel had no objections or criticisms towards those who resort to doing it.
It was just surprising to find that Libby, who looked nothing like someone who would do such a thing, had done it.
“Yes.
Apparently, it became public news.
But the Moran family kept the truth under wraps.
Instead of abortion, they said Libby lost the baby due to a miscarriage,” Quint explained pointedly.
“Even her doctor confirmed it.”
Part of the Red Hackers’ work was to dig up dirt about the rich and powerful clans in the country and use it as a bargaining chip should a need for it arise.
Unless it was someone from the upper crust circle in society, the Red Hackers would not investigate anyone.
Libby wasn’t qualified enough to be investigated by the Red Hackers.
“You investigated her?” Rachel was quite surprised.
“Like the Red Hackers, the hospital who handled Libby’s case kept the evidence of the abortion to protect themselves.
I hacked their medical records and found everything,” Quintin said.
“Why are you so interested in Libby anyway?”
Rachel exited the file and looked at the time.
It had been almost thirty minutes since she came out.
Then she thought of Alberto.
Did he get up from the floor? Was he okay?
