Captivation: Want Nothing But You

Chapter 1665

Rachel stepped forward and grabbed the door handle.

She was about to nudge it open when her phone buzzed again.

She looked down and found it was a call from the delivery guy.

Rachel pursed her lips, torn between opening the door or getting the medicine from the delivery guy.

In the end, she let go of the door handle and turned around to leave.

In the room, just behind the closed door, Alberto’s eyes darkened as he looked at the wheelchair lying on the floor.

If Rachel pushed the door open, she would find him standing there.

From the corner, a man who had the same built as Alberto walked over.

“Mr.

Gibson,” the man said respectfully, turning on the flashlight in his hand, which Lit up a fraction of the room and revealed his face.

“Yes,” Alberto responded, handing the mask to the man.

“She’s starting to suspect me.

Don’t speak or let her touch you when she comes back.”

The man understood why Alberto didn’t want him to speak, but not the part where he shouldn’t let Rachel touch him.

Although confused, the man nodded and said dutifully, “Okay, sir.”

“Ahem.” Alberto brought his knuckle to his mouth, letting out a rough cough.

The man looked at him worriedly.

“Are you alright, sir? You don’t look good.

Should I call—”

“No, I’m fine.” Alberto waved his hand dismissively, cutting the man off.

“Take off your clothes.”

“But we’re already wearing the same clothes, sir.

The heater is acting up.

If you take off your clothes even for a second, your cold might worsen,” the man pointed out worriedly.

Rubbing his throat, Alberto shook his head and insisted, “I said I’m fine.

I have some soup stain on my sleeve.

If Rachel sees your clothes without the stain, she will suspect me more.”

The man looked at Alberto’s sleeves, but it took a moment for him the see the soup stain because it was so faint.

If one didn’t Look carefully, they would miss it.

In understanding, the man took off his clothes and exchanged them with Alberto’s.

“Can I ask you something, Mr.

Gibson?” Unable to contain his curiosity, the man looked at Alberto.

Alberto didn’t respond.

The people who worked for him knew that his silence meant yes, so the man took it as a go signal.

After a moment of hesitation, the man plucked up the courage to ask, “Why are you afraid of being found out by Miss Bennet? Maybe she’ll be happy to know it’s you.”

The man appeared to be very interested in knowing the reason.
