Chapter 1150 Bart and Haiden Nine (2)
He suddenly got too close and Valery subconsciously held her breath.
Haiden seemed to have discovered it and smiled slightly.
"Alright, I won't ask anymore." Valery stood up and let out a breath. Then she walked to the mirror. As she looked at it, she then turned back to ask, "Mr. Cox, is this necklace a gift for me, or will the bill be taken out from my salary?"
Haiden chuckled and picked up his coat and walked out, saying, "Let's go eat first."
Valery held his hand and went out for dinner. When she came back, she met a few male classmates of Haiden. When those people faced Haiden, their attitudes obviously changed.
They were respectful and polite, with a bit of flattery and fear.
Eric had left a long time ago. Only the bride, Amy, was left sitting alone in the lounge. When Amy heard that Haiden and his girlfriend had come out for dinner, she quickly made up and came out. From a distance, she saw Haiden standing there with a straight posture, talking to the other students.
Amy should have found out long ago that ordinary people did not have this kind of temperament, but Haiden was like this since the time she first met him. He was calm and gentle.
Such a person was from the Alberton family.
Amy's footsteps were a little unsteady. Why didn't he tell her?
Why?
She wanted to know why!
When Amy walked up to Haiden, Amy's tears fell first before she could ask.
"Haiden..." Amy cried and asked, "Why? Tell me why?"
Haiden just handed her a tissue politely and then took Valery to the elevator.
Amy held the napkin and suddenly sat down on the ground and wailed.
Eric did not want her, and Haiden also would not.
After all these years, she had obtained nothing!
She didn't get anything... She could only watch the person she liked the most walk away with another woman.
After entering the elevator, Valery asked Haiden, "How are you feeling now?"
Haiden was expressionless.
Valery sent the results of the battle to Gerald. Gerald directly transferred 666 dollars to her and sent more than a dozen messages to praise her. After arriving at the room, Valery went to take a bath. When she came out, she found that Haiden had taken a quilt and laid it on the ground. They were now "lovers" and could only live in one room.
"I'll sleep on the ground." Valery walked over to take the quilt and started to put it away.
Haiden didn't stop her. After taking a shower, he laid down on the bed and started to rest.
Valery lay quietly on the bed for a moment and asked, "Mr. Cox, do you blame me for taking the liberty of making that decision today?"
"No," Haiden turned around toward the bed and said, "and just sleep then."
"If I make a mistake, I apologize. I'm sorry," Valery said.
Haiden looked at her for a while, then he suddenly got up. He titled to her to turn off the light, making Valery's breath stop at once. "Good night," he said.
"Good night," Valery exhaled softly and said.
After returning, they became the leader and subordinate that worked together and got off work together.
Life was fulfilling and busy.
Valery felt that this place was very suitable for her and was too busy to think about anything else.
Haiden had received a call from Deon, asking, "You actually got a girlfriend secretly? Bring her home to take a look later." Apart from that call, Haiden's days were the same as usual. "Do you want to watch a movie?" Gerald took two movie tickets and handed them to Valery.
"I'm busy. I don't have time." Valery waved her hand.
"It's from the boss. One for two each," Gerald slapped the tickets on the table and said, "and if you really have no one to go with, you can ask me out." Gerald winked at her as he said. "But you are too ugly," Valery replied.
After they became familiar with each other recently, they could make any jokes and Gerald did not care about being rejected. Before he left, he said, "You can also ask our boss. He has not been to the cinema for several years."
Valery agreed with her eyes still staring at the computer. Her top priority then was to finish the report.
At seven o'clock in the evening, Valery ordered a meal for Haiden and then brought the meal into the office.
"You didn't leave?" Haiden looked at her and asked.
"I'm waiting for you," Valery said. "Let's eat first." Valery placed the food on the table as she said.
Haiden checked the time and asked, "You don't have an appointment?"
"What?" Valery looked up blankly and asked, "You mean movie tickets?"
Haiden looked at her and asked, "Isn't today your birthday?"
Valery was stunned.
Seeing her reaction, Haiden suddenly smiled and said, "Have you forgotten your own birthday?"
"So you sent a movie ticket for...?" Valery looked at him and asked in a daze.
"I thought you had plans for today." Haiden picked up his coat and stood up, adding, "If not, do you want to go out for dinner with me?"
"Then the food?" Valery pointed at the coffee table.
"Just take it." Haiden had already taken his suit jacket and walked out.
Valery took the food and followed him out. It was the first time they had gotten off work so early. The lights outside were on and the neon lights were flashing. The security guard at the door saw Haiden coming down and greeted him with a smile.
Haiden glanced at Valery. Valery understood him and quickly handed over the food in her hand, saying, "You've been tired today. I bought an extra portion of food. It's for you."
The security guard quickly thanked her.
Haiden drove Valery to a restaurant under the Alberton family, which mainly sold braised pork and fish.
When Haiden entered the door, both the waiter and the lobby manager greeted him in surprise. Haiden smiled faintly and said, "Today, I brought my friends to eat. The signature dishes are fine. For we two." Before taking his seat, Haiden told the waiter, "No green onions and coriander."
The waiter nodded.
Haiden thanked him.
Then, Haiden and Valery sat directly by the window, where they could feel the bustle in the hall.
"How do you know today is my birthday?" Valery asked after washing the forks.
"I've seen it when you entered the office." After Haiden checked the phone information, he put the phone aside.
The waiter served the dishes very quickly and directly brought over four signature dishes.
"So fast?" Valery asked in surprise.
"The signature dishes are prepared in advance," Haiden poured her a glass of water and said, "so try it and write an impression after eating." Valery was speechless.
"Eat it. Just give me a suggestion after you finish eating."
"Is this also a job?" Valery lowered her head and had a taste.
"They asked me to have a taste before, but I've always been too busy," Haiden said. Then he ate some fish, saying, "Not bad, have a taste."
