Chapter 1149 Bart and Haiden Nine (1)
"What the hell is going on with you" After coming out, Jard yelled at Eric in exasperation. "Mr. Rich finally agreed to help yet what did you do? You were so disappointing. Is him that scary?" Eric's face was still pale.
He squirmed his lips, unable to say anything.
Jard called Amy to take him away. Amy supported Eric and asked, "What's wrong?"
When Eric saw Amy, he panicked. "It's over. I stole his woman, Dad!" He threw himself in front of Jard. "Amy used to be his girlfriend, and she became my girl later. Do you think he will retaliate against me? Isn't that what the Albertons do? He is from the Alberton family. He will retaliate against me, right?"
"What did you say?" Jard asked in disbelief.
"The Albertons?" Amy didn't understand.
Eric grabbed her shoulders, "You lied to me! Haiden is from the Alberton family! Why didn't you tell me? You want me to die?"
"Which Alberton family? Who? Haiden?" Amy was stunned.
Jard understood. He looked at Amy and asked, "You dated Haiden before?"
Amy nodded hesitantly, although she felt embarrassed when her father-in-law asked her such a private question. She said, "Yes, I did in the past, but we have already..."
"So he came today to attend your wedding?" Jard interrupted.
Amy had a bad feeling. "What exactly happened?" she asked.
Jard pointed at Eric and said, "You know you did. You'll deal with this yourself."
Then Jard left.
Eric and Amy were both at a loss.
"What happened?" Amy asked.
"Haiden is an Alberton." Eric stared at her. "Don't you know? He is a member of the Alberton family. The great Alberton family! They can make a person disappear silently." Amy's voice became hoarse. Her face was full of astonishment.
"You don't know?" Eric laughed, "You don't know? Well, that makes sense. You are a gold digger. You wouldn't break up with him if you knew he is so rich..."
"I am not!" Amy refuted weakly.
"You are not? Then what do you like about me?" Eric shouted, "Do you know how much the necklace Haiden just gave his girlfriend cost? Tens of millions! He is richer than me now! Go to him!"
They were arguing in the corridor of the hall. Soon, many guests were attracted. Some male students came overheard the argument. They were all shocked when they heard from Eric and Amy that Haiden was an Alberton.
The greasy man was the first person to doubt. He said disdainfully, "How is that possible?"
However, some people in the crowd believed it.
"The gown his girlfriend wore today costs 115,000."
"His girlfriend's earrings are from the Alberton store. They cost 390,000."
"The suit he is wearing today should be customized. Customized suits usually cost more than 100,000..."
"But the car he took today is only a hundred thousand." The greasy man was still unconvinced "His suit must have been rented. Or, his girlfriend must be rich. She bought everything."
Eric stood up and said to Amy, "Leave me. I won't offend the Alberton family for you."
"What did you say?" Amy cried.
"I say, I'm a fucking idiot." Eric looked at her angrily, "Guess what Haiden is doing now. He must be laughing at you. Look at you now, you thought you married a rich man. I am a beggar in front of him!" Eric rushed to the banquet hall, drank a glass of wine, and rushed out. His mentality was damaged.
Amy was left alone in the corridor.
Someone supported her, someone advised her, and someone was talking. She couldn't hear what they were saying. All she could hear was the sentence, "Haiden is from the Alberton family."
On the other side, the greasy man contacted an acquaintance in the police station and asked him for Haiden's information.
After a few minutes, the man called and said, "Haiden is from the Alberton family. He lived in the Alberton family since he was six years old. After graduation, he began to work in the Alberton Group. He is now the CEO of all the industries of the Alberton Group."
The Greasy was stunned.
He remembered himself asking Haiden at the table, "How much do you earn for a month now? Do you want to work for me? By the way, what exactly are you doing?"
He bragged in front of Haiden. Yet it turned out that Haiden was the CEO of the Alberton Group. He wasn't at the same level as them, yet he stayed with them patiently. The greasy man felt complicated. He was amazed by Haiden yet at the same time he wanted to curse.
Haiden was too sinister to sit there watching them fooling around.
He must have been amused.
"Are you hungry?" Haiden sat on the business sofa and asked Valery on the bed.
After the group of people left, Valery lay on the bed, pretending that she was "dead".
Valery poked her head out and glanced at Haiden. Seeing no emotions on his face, she asked, "Are you angry?"
"What do you think?" Haiden looked up.
"I'm hungry, let's eat," Valery said as she removed the blanket and got off the bed.
Haiden removed the red cloth on the tray, "Do you want to wear it yourself or shall I help you?"
It was a necklace he had just chosen.
"You did choose. But I was just saying it." Valery looked at the necklace and said, "I'm not wearing it. I'll send it back to you when I get back tomorrow."
Haiden looked at her quietly and then said, "Sit."
Valery sat down obediently. Haiden picked up the necklace and stood behind her.
The necklace was very cold. The moment it touched her skin, she dodged. Her entire back was pressed against Haiden's chest. Haiden turned to her. He brushed away her hair and the necklace on her neck. "Do you still like her?" Valery asked all of a sudden.
Haiden paused for a moment, adjusted the necklace for her, and then stood up, saying, "No."
"Then why didn't you date anyone else after breaking up with her?" Valery turned around and asked.
"I haven't met anyone I like." Haiden lowered his head slightly, looking straight into her eyes. "Valery, as my assistant, is it appropriate so many personal questions?"
