The Ultimate Husband

Chapter 5927

Darryl let out a breath, before speaking slowly. "The poison's been in your body for too long, it's in your bloodstream. It'll be impossible to heal you in one go. You need to take one of these everyday, and keep doing so for a whole year to get rid of it completely."

In that case...

Simone bit her lip. "Well... could you make me some more..."

Darryl could not help but cry out at the words. "Do you think this stuff is easy to make, kid? Do you know how precious those herbs were? Anyways, I only had enough on me to make one." What was she going to do then?

Just then, Simone's brows furrowed in panic.

Darryl flashed her a smile. "How about this. I'll give you the recipe to make the pills- but only if you let me go. Oh, and you must promise me one thing."

"Also, I'm only going to say this once. Your brother's death was completely caused by Tyson, and had nothing to do with the Raksasa tribe or their Empress. Tyson's also paid for his deeds." Simone bit her lip at the words, falling silent.

"Alright!"

A few seconds later, she nodded before saying to Darryl, "I promise not to go after the Raksasa tribe, and I can let you go. What was the other thing you wanted?"

Darryl thought it through, and opened his mouth to speak. "I want to know who that little girl who tricked me was."

He was, after all, the hero of the Nine Continents. It truly was a little embarrassing to have been pranked by a little girl. More importantly, she looked a little too much like Jewel, and Darryl had not stopped thinking about it. Simone stopped short, as if she had not expected Darryl to bring this up. She gave it some thought, and finally said, "She's an orphan. I found her by the road half a month ago."

Pity washed over Darryl at once. "Could I meet her?"

"Sure."

Simone did not hesitate, nodding as she called out to her men standing guard outside to bring the little girl over.

The girl was still dressed in the same clothes that Darryl had seen her in. She did not panic one bit, coming into the room before saying to Simone, "Is anything the matter, Older Sister?" As she spoke, the little girl spotted Darryl and stopped short. "Oh my, you've woken up!"

Darryl smiled, getting straight to the point. "What's your name?"

"My name's Avalon," the little girl said without hesitation. She paused, before pointing at Simone and

saying, "She told me to attack you! It wasn't my fault."

Ha ha...

Darryl could not help but chuckle at the words.

Avalon was quite the character, wasn't she?

Simone flushed as well, frowning at Avalon. "Hey, kiddo! I bring you home with me and feed you, and this is how you repay me?"

Avalon did not panic one bit, pursing her lips. "I'm just telling it as it is. You told me to knock this man out."

"You..."

Simone was beside herself with annoyance. "Telling it as it is, I see. You're going to get it later."

Darryl hurried over then. "Alright, alright, she's just a kid. What's the point of taking it out on her? How about I take her with me, hm?"

Simone was a cruel woman, and Avalon was bound to suffer by her side. It was a much better idea to bring her back to the Elysium Gate.

Simone rolled her eyes at the words. "She's been enough of a burden. Take her if you want."

Darryl turned to Avalon. "Come with me from now on, alright, Avalon?"

Yet Avalon's response had Daryl torn between laughter and tears.

"And why should I do that."

Avalon tilted her head to the side, eyeing Darryl warily. "You're going to

take revenge on me, aren't you get

can fight, you know! I'm not scared of you!"

Ha ha...

Darryl could not help but burst out laughing again, before falling silent as he looked at Avalon seriously.

"Don't you worry. I'm not going tonet

take revenge. You just look like my baby sister, and I thought I'd take you in."

"How about I have someone teach you how to fight when we get back, and send you to school. How's that sound?"
