I should have known they would have laced the drinks or food with something. They were suspicious of us and although I tried to mind-link with my men, the sedative they had given me made me woozy and I had no doubts they had given me wolfsbane as well. I watched with anger as Alpha Richard instructed one of his warriors to come in and grab Blair who was unconscious beside me, my body feeling like it was almost paralyzed as I struggled against the different drug effects as I stayed immobile, my anger consuming "Bastards" I rasped, as Alpha Richard smirked at me, the warrior briskly carrying Blair out of the room as I watched intently "You'll die for this," I told him warningly.

He shook his head and laughed, sounding highly amused, his wife smiling widely. "Nobody is ever going to know what happened to you both," he said with a wry shake of his head "You're just some poor pathetic Alpha from a small pack, nobody will care if you go missing."

I gave a grim smile. The man had no clue who he was messing with. I gritted my teeth. He had laced me with a large amount of wolfsbane but Lucian was already starting to clear the wolfsbane from my bloodstream. Alpha Richard had not taken into consideration that he was dealing with an Alpha King and that my wolf was stronger than even an Alpha wolf. It was only a matter of time until I could freely move and shift again.

"Hurry up and take care of him," Luna Regina said impatiently, looking at her watch "The transport is arriving any minute and I want him gone. There's something about him that makes me feel uncomfortable" she complained.

Her husband rolled his eyes. "You're being paranoid but I see your point."

His eyes went cloudy and two more warriors entered the room. "I'm amazed you're not unconscious," he said a little perplexed "Most Alpha's would have fully given in by now."

He hesitated and then shrugged. The warriors gripped me by the arms and hoisted me up, my body limp, and began to drag me out of the room. "Take him out the back way and into the forest. Leave him for the wild animals to get" Alpha Richard instructed gravelly. The warriors nodded grimly and then dragged me out of the pack house and onto the grounds. The night air chilled me and the moon was shining brightly overhead. My vision was clearing now. I fought to maintain my weak expression, allowing them to roughly drag me, mind-linking my men to attack the cottage compound in the forest.

We went into the forest partway and then I was dropped unceremoniously to the ground. My body hit the floor with a large thud and I swore inwardly. Lucian gave a low growl. The sedative had worn off and the wolfsbane was practically cleared from my bloodstream. The warriors glanced at each other regretfully. They didn't look pleased by the notion of killing me and looked hesitant.

"Don't kill me" I said thickly and they paused.

"To be honest we don't want to, but if we don't he'll kill us" one muttered sounding remorseful.

So it was blackmail that was causing them to do this or rather fear for their own lives. I managed to stand, awkwardly causing them to gape.

"You shouldn't be able to move," the other said as both tensed.

I held up a hand "I am Alpha King Braedon and your Alpha and Luna have committed a grave offense. Do not make me have to kill you as well" I said hoarsely.

I allowed my aura to push out at them, causing them to stiffen. One took a closer look at me and his eyes widened. They could sense the strength flowing from me.

"Oh my god," they said and both of them dropped to their knees, bowing their heads.

"No need for that" I rasped and they looked up at me, eyes shining with what looked like hope.

"How can we assist you?" they asked in unison.

"My mate," I said grimly "the woman who was with me. Where did they take her?"

One ducked his head "To the cottages in the forest where all the breeders are taken" he said lowly as I hissed, not surprised "but it's already too late, The truck has been and gone. She's been taken with the rest of them" he said panicked. "Taken where?" I demanded, "Where are they going to?"

The men looked helpless "Nobody knows. The Alpha and Luna are the only ones aware of the location. Nobody is allowed to know and anyone who asks too many questions is killed instantly. We're sorry King Braedon" the first one apologized, looking at his partner in sorrow.

I growled, "My men are attacking the cottages and freeing the women. Instruct your men to stand down and prepare your pack for a takeover. It will prevent bloodshed and save lives."

They nodded. I could sense them mind-linking. "Do not say one word to your Alpha or Luna" I warned and they nodded again.

I shifted and they backed away, looking concerned but I sped past them, heading back to the pack house. I needed the location Blair had been taken to and the only one who would know was Alpha Richard or Luna Regina. I tore the front door of its hinges and went crashing into the room just as Alpha Richard shifted, jumping in front of his mate to shield her. He leaped towards me and I dodged, jumping back through a window as he tore after me. I had no desire to fight inside the confines of a house and I felt him tackle me from behind like the coward he was. I rolled, using my powerful hind legs to send him sprawling across the grass, and turned to stare at him defiantly. Another wolf came barreling towards me. So it was going to be two against one then. I shouldn't have been surprised.

I swiped the Luna across her midsection and sent her flying across the grass as the Alpha leaped on top of my back. I bucked, rolled over, and slammed him hard onto the ground causing him to yelp. As he rolled, I kicked out, hitting his knee, and heard a satisfying cracking sound as it broke. The luna's wolf attacked again and I bit her, hard, drawing blood, and then swiped her across her midsection, ignoring the gouges she was leaving in her wake. She howled, dropping back while the Alpha limped towards me and tried to attack, only to be met by me as I jumped and landed on him, my teeth clamping around his neck as he frantically bucked and tried to send me sprawling.
