The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 110

King Braedon POV

information."

I nodded thoughtfully "You might indeed have some enemies, but there are also enemies of mine that would do anything to hurt me. While it could be a member of the pack it could be somebody from another, who is using a spy in the pack to feed them Blair sighed "It's all so complicated."

I wrapped my arm around her waist, feeling her body beginning to relax as the danger passed. "I know and I'm sorry, I should have protected you better," I told her possessively.

The sound of paws thudding along the ground had me pushing her behind me and my body tensing, preparing to shift. Blair gave a small cry and then I sniffed, distinguishing who the scents belonged to. Buster, Baxter, Josie, and Sierra's wolves came running to us, pausing and scanning the surroundings for any lurking danger. They shifted. Sierra quickly headed to Blair, helping her to her feet "You okay?" she said, c*****g her head and making Blair nod tiredly.

Sierra spotted the puke and smirked "Wuss" she teased.

Blair elbowed her and Josie gave a shy smile. "At least I didn't puke on you" Blair said defensively.

Sierra snorted "If you'd puked on me it would have been the last thing you ever did" she exclaimed.

Blair giggled. I was relieved to see some color coming back to her face.

"Any sign of who attacked us or the car?" I asked Baxter.

The two warriors shook their heads. "The SUV was long gone by the time we made it here, sorry Your Highness."

Not surprising. I let out a shallow breath and then exhaled some more. Blair was talking to Sierra and Josie. Sierra was doing her best to distract Blair from the situation. I turned to my mate. "We should get back to the pack house," I said quietly, making my mate look at me with exhaustion on her face "It will be far safer for you there" I added.

Blair nodded. "I'm going to shift so you can ride me," I told her lowly.

Sierra gave a grin and then looked at Buster who looked nervous now. "Buster," she said sweetly as the man gave her a sheepish glance "Can I ride you back to the pack house? My legs are kind of tired," she said lying completely.

Blair coughed, trying to hide her laughter. Josie stared. Baxter looked enviously at his brother. I wanted to see this play out, Blair holding my hand now.

Buster looked torn. "Um, I guess, if you're legs are sore" he stammered and Sierra gave a wicked grin.

Josie just shook her head and Baxter sighed. They shifted while Buster did the same, Sierra confidently climbing onto the large grey wolf with ease and settling atop the wolf with a twinkle in her eye.

I let go of Josie's hand and backed away, shifting and resting on my stomach, letting her climb back on. She got on gingerly, her hands gripping my fur gently as I rose to my feet, feeling her thighs clenching around me tight. My wolf groaned in my mind. God, just smell how good her scent is. She's driving me nuts with her legs wrapped around us like that.

We're taking her back to the pack house Lucian, stop thinking about her that way.

It's hard not to. Damn as sexy as our mate is, can you blame me for wanting her right now?

I couldn't. I was having a hard time focusing myself. I tightened my jaw and then began to run, paws thudding along the ground, Blair's body rocking back and forth, grinding against me and causing me to drool. Gods, it was t*****e. The others kept up behind, their ears pricked for the slightest sound of danger approaching, especially rogues. It wasn't long until we reached the packhouse and I was relieved and in need of a damn cold shower as I let Blair climb back off me and shifted back into human form.

I groaned and Blair gave me a look of concern. "Are you okay?" she whispered, as Sierra got off Buster's back and he shifted, looking much like he was in the same position I was.

"Just going to go have a quick swim in the lake," I said in a choked voice.

"Me too," Buster said quickly, turning around and walking beside me.

"What's gotten into him?" I heard Blair murmur to Sierra.

"Dude, never let me have Sierra on my back again. Just her rocking back and forth" Buster said in a hushed voice as we broke into a run.

"Tell me about it" I groaned "Try having your actual mate on your back."

He looked at me sympathetically. We reached the lake and jumped in, the freezing cold water instantly cooling our bodies and shriveling our nether regions. I closed my eyes. Thank god. We got out and shook, like a dog, water dripping off of us as we quietly made our way back to the pack house where the women were patiently waiting.

Sierra was the first to speak "You know, you didn't have to go to the lake, I would have happily taken care of the erection you had, for you" she purred and Buster groaned, looking embarrassed, as Sierra giggled and reached out taking his hand.

None of us had to look at him to know he had another one as he cursed at Sierra who began to lead him into the pack house with a smirk on her face. Josie calmly walked away with a shake of her head. Baxter sighed and did the same. Blair looked at me with a small grin. "Really? The lake?" she asked teasingly.

"The shower was too far away" I grumbled.

She laughed and then Julia came walking out, looking stern and worried as I eyed her. She looked concerned and not at all like herself. The news she had couldn't be good. I tensed and Blair eyed the woman with misgiving. "Your Highness" she choked out.

"What is it, Julia?" I said grimly.

She looked worried, biting her lip. "It's to do with your sister," she said and I groaned.

"Don't tell me" I began and she sighed.

"She's left her mate and decided to come back to live here, with you again. She will be here in the morning" she explained stiffly.

"She rejected her mate" I yelled and she nodded, looking annoyed herself.

"Sarah didn't even last a year with him" I snarled, "will nobody meet her expectations? It's not like she can continue to go through mates like they're pieces of candy."

Blair looked fascinated. I was annoyed. I motioned for her to follow me. I had to tell her about my sister and her rather eccentric ways of looking at things. Something told me that my sister was determined to stay and I had no notion of how this was going to affect my relationship with Blair. Could anything else possibly go wrong?
