The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 106

Felicity POV.

One week later,

As I sat in front of the mirror, Ava carefully applied my make-up, and we chatted about her relationship with my brother Kyle. "I just don't know what to do," she said, her voice heavy with emotion. "I love him so much, but I don't know where I stand with him." I reached out to take her hand. "Ava, Kyle loves you. I'm sure of it. And I'm going to talk to him tonight and make sure he knows he needs to step up."

Ava wiped her tears and gave me a small smile. "Thank you, Feli. I don't know how you always manage to make things better."

I winked at her. "It's what friends are for."

As Ava finished up my make-up, I surveyed myself in the mirror. It was a stunning transformation - she had somehow managed to make me look even more beautiful. My hair was carefully styled, and my dress was magnificent.

It was a flowing, white gown, with intricate lace detailing and a stunning train. It made me feel like a queen. As Ava helped me into the dress, I couldn't help but feel grateful for everything she had done for me. "Ava, you've outdone yourself," I said, turning to her.

"It was my pleasure, my lady," she replied with a smile. "But I can't take all the credit. Kim helped with the initial design of the dress."

"Kim did?" I turned to my friend, who was standing nearby. "You never told me you were talented at designing dresses!"

"Well, I wouldn't say talented," Kim said, blushing. "But I had a few ideas, and Ava was kind enough to listen and incorporate them into the final design."

"It's incredible," I said, twirling around in the gown. "I can't wait for everyone to see it."

"I'm sure you'll be the talk of the party," Ava said with a chuckle. "But don't forget to enjoy yourself too."

"I will," I promised. "Thank you both so much."

"You were already beautiful, Feli. I just enhanced it."

I blushed at her compliment. "And you, Ava and Kim, you look stunning as well."

Ava laughed. "Thank you, but I can't compare to the vision you are tonight. Maximus is going to be speechless."

Kim, chimed in. "He's going to die when he sees you, no joke. You're so sublime, you're going to steal the whole show."

Embarrassed, I shook my head. "Stop it, both of you. Let's just go have a great time."

As I stepped out into the hallway, servants bustled around me, attending to last-minute preparations for the party. I could hear music drifting down from the ballroom, and I felt a twinge of excitement in my stomach.

Tonight was not just a celebration of our victory over Melezo - it was a celebration of my love with Maximus, and in a way, a renewal of our marriage. I knew that tonight was going to be something special, and I couldn't wait to see what the evening had in store.

Maximus POV.

My heart raced as I finished getting ready with Marcus and Kyle by my side. I looked at myself in the mirror, dressed in a chic costume. The outfit was a sleek black suit, tailored to perfection, with gold embellishments that added a touch of regality. I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement and nerves as I realized that tonight was not just a celebration of our victory over Melezo, but also a celebration of my love with Felicity.

"I can't believe this is happening," I muttered to myself.

Marcus chuckled. "Love has a way of surprising us, Your Majesty."

Kyle slapped me on the back. "Just embrace it, Max. It's a beautiful thing."

I nodded, gratitude filling my heart for the genuine friendship I had formed with Kyle. He had gone from being my enemy to one of my closest allies.

Once I was fully dressed, I made my way into the party room. The sight that greeted me took my breath away. The ballroom was filled with people, all here to celebrate our victory and our love. Music soared through the air, creating a lively atmosphere. As my eyes scanned the room, they landed on Felicity. She looked absolutely sublime in her flowing white gown. I couldn't help but shed a tear at the sight of her beauty. Making my way toward her, I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. "Felicity," I whispered, taking her hands in mine. "You look breathtaking."

A smile spread across her face, her eyes shimmering with emotion. "And you, Maximus, look dashing. I can't believe how far we've come."

I brought her hand to my lips, kissing it gently. "I love you, Felicity, more than words can express. Tonight is a celebration of that love."

Her voice filled with equal adoration, she whispered, "And I love you, Maximus. You've changed my life in ways I never thought possible."

I pulled her into a loving embrace, feeling the warmth of her body against mine. "I have something for you," I said, reaching into my pocket and pulling out a gold bracelet.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "I lost this bracelet months ago. How did you..."

I interrupted her, a smile tugging at my lips. "I found it, my love. I've been waiting for the perfect moment to give it back to you."

With trembling hands, I fastened the bracelet around her wrist, the engraved initials M.B. shining in the light. "And on the back," I whispered, turning it over to reveal the letters F.M. "For Felicity Monroe."

Tears filled her eyes as she looked up at me with love and gratitude. "Thank you," she whispered. "I never thought I'd see this bracelet again."

Kissing her tenderly, I whispered back, "I promised to always protect you, my love."

"Felicity, there's something else I need to tell you," I said, my voice trembling slightly.

"What is it?" she asked, looking up at me with concern.

"I...I'm your mate, Felicity. I discovered it a while ago but I didn't know how to tell you, I've marked you now, and I can't imagine my life without you."" I said, taking a deep breath.

Her eyes widened in surprise, but then a smile spread across her face. "I already knew, since the second day we met," she said. "I could feel it too. I've been waiting for you to tell me." She confessed.

Relief flooded my body as I took in the sight of the mark. "Good," I said, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I promised to always protect you and I intend to keep that promise, Felicity."

"I know you will," she whispered, snuggling into my embrace. "I love you."

"I love you too," I replied, kissing her deeply. In that moment, I knew that nothing would ever separate us.

Wrapping her in my arms, I breathed in her scent, knowing that we were meant to be together forever.

As the night continued, we danced together, our bodies moving to the rhythm of the music. An opening number played, and all eyes were on us as we twirled and swayed through the center of the room. Rose petals rained down upon us, creating a magical moment that belonged to just the two of us.

After the dance, the guests erupted in applause, and we joined them at the banquet table for dinner.

"Wow, that was an incredible dance," Felicity said as we rejoined the guests at the banquet table.

"I couldn't agree more," I replied, smiling at her.

She picked up a piece of food with her fork and held it out to me. "Here, try this. It's delicious."

I opened my mouth and took a bite, savoring the taste. "Mmm, you're right. That's amazing."

We continued to feed each other small bites, lost in our own world of love and affection. "I can't believe how much I love you," I whispered to her.

Her eyes sparkled as she responded, "I feel the same way about you. Our love is too powerful to be contained."

We whispered sweet words to each other, not caring who was listening, for our love was too powerful to be contained.

Our son was in Ava's care for the evening, as we wanted to cherish this intimate moment together.

Suddenly, a child ran into the room, followed closely by guards. "I need to see the king!" the child shouted, causing chaos in the room.

Concerned, I instructed my guards to back off and approached the child. "What's wrong? Why do you need to see me?"

With a trembling hand, the child handed me a letter. "It's urgent," he said

Trembling, I opened the letter and read its contents, my heart dropping. Dear [Maximus],

Surprised to hear from me, aren't you? You probably thought I was gone for good, but alas, I am alive and well. I must say, it's quite amusing to see the look on your face right now. After all, you always had such confidence in your ability to eliminate me. But as you know, I am not so easily defeated. You may have thought you had the last laugh, but I assure you, it was only temporary. I have been biding my time, waiting for the right moment to come back and remind you of your failure.

You see, while you were celebrating your supposed victory, I was busy building up my strength and gathering allies. And now, I am stronger than ever before. I am ready to take on whatever challenges come my way, and I have you to thank for motivating me. So, do you have anything to say for yourself? Any excuses as to why you couldn't finish the job? No matter what you say, I know the truth. You were simply not strong enough to defeat me. And now, you will spend the rest of your days looking over your shoulder, wondering when I will strike again.

Enjoy your victory while you can, because it won't last forever. Sincerely,

[Alpha Melezo]

After reading the words on the paper, shock coursed through my veins. My eyes widened, and I looked down to see a small remote control in the child's hand. It was a bomb. "Evacuate the room now!" I shouted, fear gripping my heart.
