The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 104

Felicity

POV.

I sat there, feeling helpless and hopeless. I feared that Adrian would never let me go, that I was doomed to be trapped in this forsaken place forever. My heart ached for Maximus, and I could only pray that he was searching for me.

Time seemed to drag on endlessly until suddenly, the door burst open with a loud crash. In the doorway stood Maximus wolf, my hero, my love, he quickly detransformed and resumed his human form. My heart leaped with joy at the sight of him, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me.

Maximus quickly freed me from the ropes that bound me and removed the gag from my mouth. I threw my arms around him, feeling the weight of everything that had happened to me lift from my shoulders.

As we held each other tightly, our lips met in a kiss that was filled with emotion. Desperation, relief, and love all mingled together, and I felt that nothing could come between us.

Breaking the kiss, we remained entwined, not wanting to let go of each other. "I love you," he whispered against my lips, and I felt his devotion and protection radiate from him.

"I love you too," I replied, my voice barely more than a whisper. We shared a moment of pure love, and it felt like the stormy skies above were reflecting the journey we had both endured.

Hand in hand, Maximus led me out of the cabin and into the rain that was still falling. The others had followed us, and their cheers and smiles filled my heart. The rain no longer felt like a burden; it was a symbol of renewal and hope.

Walking through the rain, I felt Maximus's support as my tired body struggled to keep up. Together, we embraced the cleansing power of the rain, washing away the fear and darkness that had threatened to swallow us.

In that moment, I knew that nothing could come between us. No matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together. As raindrops mingled with our love, I felt a renewed strength and the assurance that Maximus would always protect me with all his heart.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching us and I turned to see Ava and Kyle running towards us.

"Ava! Kyle!" I exclaimed as they jumped into my arms, both of them crying. "I thought I was going to die," I said as we hugged each other tightly.

As Ava and Kyle hugged me tightly, tears streaming down their faces, I could feel their relief and love. "Oh my God, Felicity, I was so worried about you," Ava said, her voice choked with emotion.

"I thought I was going to lose you," Kyle added, his voice trembling.

"What happened?" Kyle asked, his voice filled with concern.

Maximus's jaw clenched as he asked, "What did he do to you?"

I told them everything that had happened with Adrian, recounting each detail until the moment he tied me up and left me in the cabin. I could see the anger building in Maximus and Kyle's eyes as they listened to my story.

I knew that Adrian was going to regret ever messing with us. But in that moment, I felt safe and protected, knowing that I had my loved ones by my side.

"What?!" Ava exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock. "That son of a bitch."

"He's going to pay for this," Maximus shouted, his voice filled with rage.

"I'll make sure of it," Kyle added, his fists clenched at his sides.

Then he turned to me with a look of regret.

"I can't believe Adrian did this," he said, his voice filled with shame. "He was my best friend, and I should have seen this coming."

Maximus wrapped his arms around me again, holding me tightly. "Don't blame yourself, Kyle. Adrian made his own choices."

I looked into his eyes and saw the regret and shame. He took me in his arms again and hugged me tight, but I had to pull away. "It's okay," I said. "I'm free, and I'm with you now. That's all that matters."

Suddenly, we heard footsteps echoed around us as Adrian appeared with the men of Melezo, and they surrounded us. There were only four of us since Maximus' soldiers had not come with him.

My heart raced as Adrian glared at Maximus, he was angry to see Maximus and shouted, "I should have given you more sleeping pills!"

Maximus yelled back, "You're a bastard!" Adrian laughed and turned to me his eyes filled with malice. "I warned you not to go out, and now you're going to pay."

Maximus stepped forward, ready to defend me. "What are you talking about? What have you done?"

Adrian looked smug. "It's good that you Maximus are here. Once I hand you over to Melezo's men, they'll take care of you."

I was in shock and Ava and Kyle didn't know what to do. Kyle started yelling at Adrian, calling him a traitor and a liar.

But Adrian didn't seem to care. "It's too late now," he said with a shrug.

We were in trouble, Maximus was weak and unable to turn in his wolf firm, so we were outnumbered and outmatched.

Melezo's men charged at us, and a chaotic battle broke out. We defended ourselves as best we could, but it quickly became clear that we were outnumbered.

In the midst of the fighting, they aimed an arrow at me, but then Adrian stepped in front of me to block it and took the hit.

As he fell to the ground, I screamed and ran to him, tears already streaming down my face. Meanwhile, Ava, Kyle, and Maximus kept fighting.

I crawled to his side, tears clouding my vision, and held his hand tightly, begging him to hold on "Don't die, Adrian! Please don't die! Please don't leave me!" I cried out, my voice hoarse with agony. Adrian weakly smiled at me his eyes fluttering closed. "I'm sorry," he said. "Do you forgive me?"

My heart shattered at his words, and I shook my head vehemently. "You don't have to ask for forgiveness, Adrian. You saved me today. I'll always remember that.," I said, my voice choked with tears. Adrian's voice grew even weaker. "I love you," he said. "I always will."

As his chest stilled and his eyes closed for the final time, I howled in anguish, my grief consuming me entirely. I couldn't believe he was gone, that the man who caused me so much pain was now lying dead at my feet.

I cried, despite the pain he had caused me. But, I still loved him like a brother. He saved my life and without him, I too would not be alive now.

I cried all the tears in my body, mourning the loss of someone who had caused me so much pain but had ultimately sacrificed his own life for mine.

Ava, Kyle, and Maximus continued to fight on, our lives depending on their bravery and skill.

As Melezo's men closed in, ready to finish us off, something amazing happened. Maximus's men arrived, surrounding us and taking down our attackers.

Ava and Kyle came over, their own faces streaked with tears, and they embraced me tightly. "We're here for you, Felicity. We'll always be here," Ava whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

I was holding his lifeless body close to mine, tears streaming down my face, I felt empty, lost and destroyed.

Maximus approached us, his expression grave and somber. "We need to leave this place. Come on, we'll make sure Adrian gets a proper burial," he said, his voice heavy.

We left the cabin and made our way through the pouring rain, carrying Adrian's lifeless body with us. My heart ached for the loss of him, but amidst the pain, there was a glimmer of relief that our nightmare was finally over. And in that moment, I knew that Adrian would always hold a place in my heart, a reminder of the complexities of love and the lengths we'll go to save those we care about.
