Cody kept looking at Damian who was seated on the bed near her but he was not saying anything and she could feel he was angry. Who wouldn't be? after what Jennie had put them all through but she knew his anger was not only about that.
Sighing softly, she tugged at his hand but he didn't budge; rather he turned the other way and laid down.
"Why are you so mad?" She asked after a while, she couldn't bear the silent treatment he has been giving her since this morning and she had to voice it out. "Nothing" came the short and swift reply but he knew it was something deep down inside of him.
"Just talk to me Damian, remember we already promised each other it would be for better or worse".
He slowly stood and glared at her for a while before ruffling his already disheveled hair, she just didn't know why he was angry did she?. "Why didn't you tell me someone had called you to the pool that night?" He asked after a while, looking at her angrily and she gulped. He has always been a different person anytime he was angry and now she has woken the sleeping lion in him.
"I thought it might be one of the wedding guests, that's why I didn't bother" she replied in a low tone and he could only hiss under his breath angrily. "Do you know how dangerous that is? don't you know it's not advisable to do that? At least, you should have told someone else if not me".
She knew explaining further might aggravate him the more so she just decided to apologize, it was the best to do in this situation.
"I am sorry Damian, I promise I will never be this careless again". He stared at her before turning away from her and closing his eyes, he was trying hard to suppress his anger. He was also mad at himself for not being careful with her and letting her wander off on her own.
"From now on, don't do anything without me okay" he said after a while and she nodded before snuggling into his embrace, she loved his scent and felt more safe when with him.
She had already lost him for five years but this time around, she would keep him by her side for eternity. "What gender do you want first?" She asked still in his embrace and he was stroking her hair lovingly. Hearing her question, a proud look appeared on his face. He was about to become a father and
he woman he loved most in the world, he couldn't have asked for more.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" She asked again, cutting into his reverie of thought and Instead of answering, he kissed her forehead tenderly and she blushed.

She laughed at his teases but she loved it, this was the man she loved and she would love for life.
"I want a baby who is as cute as you but not as stubborn though" he answered after a while and she laughed, yeah she knew she was stubborn, very stubborn.
"I want a boy, he should be exactly like you so no girl would be able to resist his charms".
"Boys are mischievous, what if his girlfriend behaves like you did, he would have to suffer for it. No, I want a baby girl".
"We should have twins then" Cody chipped in as her lips curved up in a smile and Damian flicked her forehead gently "No twins, dad already told me how restless he was when mum was about to give birth, I don't want you passing through the same thing". She rolled her eyes at him before pushing him off slightly, "What of you that had girls swooning around you like how honey attracts bees?" she asked, feigning annoyance and he smiled at her cute behavior. "I am a hot shot okay” he whispered into her ears as he grabbed her waist but she slapped his hands off.
"You should go and meet those girls then" she said and wanted to stand up but he pinned her back on the bed as his tall frame towered above her.
"You are the only woman I want to be with cody and you should know that because you will be mine for life".
She smiled at him before capturing her lips. If this was love, she wanted it to last forever.

He flicked her forehead lovingly and she groaned in pain.
"Stop saying thank you, you are my family and also my responsibility. It is because of all of you that I live so no thank you". "I love you hubby" she said genuinely and he could see it in her face.
