CHAPTER TWENTY ONE.

"Once you reach the parking lot, call me and I will have Rubby pick you up" Damian spoke into the phone. "Okay hubby, bye" she replied and ended the call. Damian wanted to know what she would do after meeting Delvin, he really wanted to crush the man but it should be her own way. He rang the intercom and Delvin immediately came in.

"! You called for me sir".

"An important guest will come to see me in a while, I want you to get coffee ready when I call you".

"Okay sir, anything else?". He asked. "You may leave".

"Okay sir" he replied and walked out. Part of him hated the fact that he has to answer to whatever the big boss sends him for, he was more qualified just to be an ordinary secretary but what could he do, Mira was on his neck.

His mind drifted back to when he was together with Amy, she worshiped him like he was a god, ready to do anything for him but he lost her because of a single mistake. The regret he has been living with all these years, If only he can just meet her one more time but she was already

dead so he has to live with the burden of his regret forever.

Twenty minutes later, Damian received the call and asked Rubby to pick her up. She walked into the office looking as elegant as ever and as usual, her husband's office was top notch.

"I missed you baby" he said as he immediately walked up to her and pulled her to an embrace.

"Silly, we just saw each other a few hours ago," she replied, smiling.

"I know wife, I just missed your scent" he said as he put his head on her shoulders. "Why are you clingy today hubby?". "I should do that once in a while right?" He asked, leading her to sit on the sofa. "You look just like a little kid".

"But am your kid right?" He asked pulling her to a hug again.

"So cheesy" she muttered under her breath.

"Americano or black coffee?" He asked after a while. "Black coffee," she replied. "Okay then, one sec" he walked up to the intercom and beeped Delvin. "So where is the surprise you bragged so much about?". "Chill wife" he replied as he kissed her on the forehead, immediately his door opened and Delvin walked in.

"Your coffee is here ma'am," Delvin said.

"Thank you" she replied, turning towards him and they both stopped short. The coffee mug in Delvin's hands fell on the floor."Ainy?" He asked more to be sure of what he was seeing "Delvin?" She muttered under her breath as she looked at Damian. He was just looking at the two of them and said nothing.

"Amy, how come, I thought you were dead"

Delvin asked out of shock as he made to touch her but a hand blocked him, it was Damian.

"You can stand and talk, don't touch her". "What is he doing here Damian?" Teresa asked, looking at her husband again. "Amy, I...". She interrupted him," I am not Amy, stop calling me that, Delvin" she snapped angrily.

"Calm down baby, this is the surprise I had for you" Damian whispered into her ears. "But I thought you were dead four years ago, how come you are still here Amy, I looked for you for so long". "Oh cut the crap Delvin, I know you" she cleaned the tears that trickled down her eyes," why are you acting all naive right now?, Because you are in front of me?". "No Amy, I really regret my decision, I went that day to meet you and that's when your family told me you died in an accident and I haven't been the same since then". She scoffed and stood up," really Delvin?, Where were you when I was left to die that day, you with your lover I guess". "Amy".

He heard the sound of something breaking, they both turned and it was Damian, he had crushed the jug on the table beside him. "I have told you not to call her Amy" he snapped angrily.

"Hubby, no need to get angry over someone so intangible, I will take care of him". She said and turned to Delvin," and as for you, I promised to make you pay right?, I will make sure I do that. "I am really sorry" he said and went on his knees. "Look Delvin, do you know why I have kept you working here, all this time even when I knew you were the person who troubled her alot?, I wanted her to punish you yourself and I will make you pay times two of what you made her go through" Damian said angrily, the veins on his neck was popping out. "Amy, are you married to him?" He asked out of disbelief.

"Of course yes, what do you think?, that I will come back crying to you?, don't be so delusional Delvin. You are insignificant, you don't matter". She said and sat down beside Damian, the aura emanating from the two couples was too much for Delvin to bear and he broke out in a sweat.

And make sure Mr Delvin, if a word of this gets out that Amy is actually Teresa and we are married, I will destroy you faster than you can even imagine. Just wait patiently for your punishment. Now get out of my office and clean this up" big boss said as he stood up, Delvin found himself moving away from him, the big bass was visibly taller than him. "Let's go baby" he pulled her up and they both walked out of the office, leaving the stupefied Delvin standing like a fool. "Am sorry for putting you through all that stress, I didn't tell you at first because you had a lot on your mind". Damian tried to apologize as they boarded the car. "It's okay hubby, I am fine. I don't have any regrets".

"For a moment, I wanted to rip his throat out". She laughed, " you don't have to do that, you are way beyond his league. Don't stain your hands with such scum?". "What will you do with him now?" He asked.

"Just keep him for a while, we will decide what we should do with him later, like I said, he is insignificant".

"When I saw tears in your eyes, I lost my temper. Why would you cry for another man".

"I wasn't crying for him hubby" she replied snuggling closer to him, "I was just furious but are you sure he will not say anything?, I mean he knows my family". "Don't worry wife, that bastard won't say anything"

"I am hungry, hubby" she said after a while. "We will be home in a few minutes, I will make something delicious for you". "Thank you hubby" she snuggled closer to him and closed her eyes.

Deep inside her mind, she was praying for this man seated beside her, he always supported her every wish and loved her like she was the only woman in the whole world. If love was a person then it was Damian martins in human form. Delvin slumped on the floor in Damian's office as soon as the couple went out. The face slap was just too much for him to bear. He was such a fool to believe working for the big boss was something he should be proud of, not knowing he was just a pawn in the chessboard.

"I am such a fool" he yelled at himself as tears welled up in his eyes, the pain was too much for him. Someone who used to worship him now had only hatred for him in her eyes and she is even married to a powerful man who could send him into Oblivion without a single trace all because of Mira, worst of all he can't even tell anyone about it.

"I guess this is my karma" he said and stood up to tidy the office. He made a mental note to just live quietly until those two decide what to do with him.

On getting home, Damian quickly made a healthy dinner for the two of them and they went up

to their room. Teresa has been overly quiet since they got back and he was worried. "What happened, wife?" He asked as he tucked her into bed.

"I just realized people have no loyalty," she replied. "You've got my loyalty baby, don't think about anyone else". "From now on I will only use the harshest methods to deal with those people".

"I actually wanted to set up a meeting with your dad tomorrow but since it's a weekend, I will wait till next week".

"Thank you hubby, I love you so much" she said smiling at him and he was happy she already cheered up. "What do you want to do tomorrow?" He asked, lying down beside her. "Stay in bed all day," she replied without thinking. He looked at her teasingly," are you sure wife? Can you handle it? "You have such a dirty mind, big boss," she replied in a mocking tone and he laughed. Seeing him laughing like this always brought her Joy. Then she remembered he has always been there for him but not once has he said anything about his family. She made a mental note to ask him later.

"Can you cuddle me to sleep hubby?" She asked a few minutes later when she noticed he was already engrossed in the work he was holding. She wanted him to rest too.

"Of course, come here" he dropped the file he was holding and turned all his attention to her. Whatever his wife wanted, that she will get.
