The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 112 Preston's Slap

James was caught off guard; he hadn't noticed when Preston showed up and quickly moved to shield Allison.

"You ungrateful brat! If I'd known you'd turn out like this, I would've strangled you at birth!" Preston yelled.

Allison's cheek immediately showed the marks of a slap. Blair's eyes flickered, but she didn't step in to stop Preston. Instead, she scolded, "Do you need a lesson to finally get it? Allison, apologize to your dad. And give back all the money you took. Your dad's a businessman; that money's for cash flow. How can you be so thoughtless?"

Allison stayed silent, staring at them. Footsteps echoed down the hallway, and Henry burst out of the ICU.

"Allison, who hit you?" Henry asked.

The nurse on duty knew Allison, so she told Henry about Allison getting beaten. Seeing Allison's swollen face, Henry was livid. "Who are you people, and why did you hit her?" Preston showed no remorse in the face of his questioning..

"I'm her dad. What's wrong with me hitting her? She's young but already so malicious. For money, she disregards everything, even her own parents. A daughter like that should've been strangled at birth!" Preston's hateful gaze pierced Allison's heart.

Henry looked at the couple in front of him, shocked to learn they were Allison's biological parents. Henry snapped, "You're talking nonsense! Allison is nothing like what you're saying! This is unbelievable. We thought she was an orphan all this time, but it turns out she actually has parents! You abandoned a teenage girl to fend for herself in Avalon City, and now you come here accusing her of being ungrateful?"

Henry and the others had genuinely believed Allison was an orphan. Otherwise, how could she have been living on her own in Avalon City since she was fourteen? Since knowing Allison, they had never seen any of her family.

It turned out Allison had parents, but it seemed having them was worse than not having any. A father like this was nothing short of a monster.

"What kind of father says he should have strangled his own child? You don't deserve Allison's respect," Henry fumed.

"She brought this on herself. At thirteen, she was already sleeping with men and even had an abortion. A daughter like that should've been kicked out long ago. She doesn't deserve to live. Why doesn't she just die?" Preston roared. Henry was about to lose control and fight Preston, but James held him back.

"Mr. Bennett, you need to provide evidence for your claims. You say Ms. Bennett had an abortion at thirteen. Don't you feel ashamed saying that? And Mrs. Bennett, don't you really know if your daughter could even get pregnant at thirteen? It's absurd that such accusations come from both of you!" James couldn't stand it either. How could they treat their daughter this way?

When investigating this matter, James found it unbelievable because Allison hadn't even started menstruating at thirteen. She had gone to the hospital for an examination, but the Bennett family refused to believe it.

Trying to reason with parents blinded by prejudice was like trying to wake someone who was pretending to be asleep.

"Of course, they don't feel ashamed. All they care about is the money and property! Preston, you kicked me out of the family because you knew Grandma left a will, giving Serenity Manor to me. You wanted the manor, so you threw me out and hoped Yasmin would inherit it instead, didn't you?" Allison said.

She looked calmly at Preston, then at Blair. "As for you, Mrs. Bennett, you only care about your reputation. To you, an obedient daughter is less important than an outsider. Since we have no relationship anymore, Mr. Bennett, watch your words and actions. You're not my dad. If you lay a hand on me again, I'll call the police!"

If it weren't for Hayden's situation, Allison wouldn't have been caught off guard earlier. She knew Preston was furious because he didn't get what he wanted.

But now, Allison didn't care about any relationship. If there was going to be a scene, she would make it a big one.

"Go ahead, call the police. Let's see what you can do to me," Preston said, looking fearless.

At that moment, someone else entered the hospital, hurrying over to Preston.

"Preston, I finally found you. Cade is sick. You need to come quickly!" A woman's gentle voice made Blair shudder. Blair turned in disbelief to see her cousin Helena.

What was even more unacceptable was that Helena was holding Preston's arm, and he looked equally anxious.

"How did he get sick? Wasn't he fine when I left?" Preston asked.

"It must be the change in environment. Jasper is with him downstairs. I came to find you. Cade has never stayed in a hotel before, so it's probably the poor hygiene that made him sick!" Helena replied. Preston frowned, pulling Helena to leave.

Suddenly, Helena screamed as Blair slapped her hard in the face.

At that moment, Blair felt that her reputation had been ruined by Helena. Knowing about the affair was one thing, but as long as Helena stayed abroad and out of sight, Blair could tolerate it. "Helena, how dare you come back with your child? You've got some nerve! Do you really think the Ember family will accept you, a home-wrecker? Preston is my husband, and I'm your cousin. Have you no shame?" Blair accused, feeling her reputation had been ruined by Helena.

Knowing about the affair was one thing. As long as Helena stayed abroad and out of sight, Blair could tolerate it.

But now, Helena had not only returned but brought her child. Blair couldn't stand it anymore.

Helena and Blair started fighting, and Preston couldn't pull them apart. In the chaos, Blair scratched his face, making him furious. He slapped Blair hard. "Enough, you bitch!"

Even Allison was surprised by this slap, but she didn't intervene. Instead, she pulled Jonah and the others into the ward.

"Allison, what's going on with your family? Your dad is having an affair with your mom's cousin?" Henry asked.

Allison nodded, her face expressionless. "Yeah, Helena has been with Preston since she was eighteen. Blair has been kept in the dark all these years. But given how much she loves Preston, even if she knew, she would pretend not to. Her reputation and status mean more to her than dealing with a mistress."

Henry shook his head, unable to understand the complex relationships, but he felt sorry for Allison. Back in the office, he called Joe and Robert, telling them everything about Allison. Joe immediately booked a flight to Skycrest.
