Chapter 248 Dance With Joy
Charles even wanted her to just stay at home. He would be more relieved if she was not doing anything.
In that way, he didn't have to see her exhausted, right?
"There's no need to rush. Nancy, you have to take good care of yourself while you're still young. When you are hurt, have yourself checked, to prevent it from getting worse in the future. Or else, once you get old, you will feel pain all over your body." His worried eyes stared at Nancy.
"Well, it's just a small wound. Don't make a fuss about it. Anyway, I have to go to work tomorrow. It's autumn now, and there are many patients. If I'm not there, the First Pediatric Department will be under a lot of pressure." After saying that, she sighed.
All of sudden, Charles asked, "Do you think Anna can do it alone?"
"Judging from her skills, she should be at least as good as Jessie. However, she is not experienced enough.1 Nancy made an objective evaluation.
"Yes, I saw her father David a few days ago. He said that his daughter is working in our hospital and he had said a lot of good things about her. It seems that he wants Anna to replace Jessie," said Charles. "What? Why is he so eager? Even if Anna had studied abroad, she can't just replace Jessie right away. It's going to be unfair!" Her brows furrowed as she spoke.
Although she didn't have good impressions with these two, and she was not in good terms with them, she knew how they differed from one another.
Anna had obtained a higher education, while Jessie had more experience. So it was obvious why Anna couldn't replace her that fast.
"Well, let's talk about it later," replied Charles.
They drove together to the kindergarten to pick up the children.
When the kids saw them, their eyes sparkled and they danced joyfully.
The two kids ran over happily and said, "Mommy, Daddy, you two haven't picked us up for a long time. I'm really happy to see you come together!" "Mommy, where are we going?" Nadia's curious eyes focused on Nancy when she raised her head.
"We are going to have lunch," answered Nancy.
"Then we're going to shoot a video this afternoon," Charles added.
Being a curious kid that he is, Bobby asked, "Daddy, what video?"
"Do you like to shoot a video of us together?" The corners of his mouth turned up in a smile.
"Yes, I do!" Bobby smiled back at him.
"I like it too!" Nadia giggled.
After all, they were just children. What they were excited about was not shooting the video, but the feeling of being with their family.
Charles took Nancy and the children to a hotel, and had a good lunch.
The kids were laughing and talking.
Charles and Nancy were just like ordinary parents in the world. Seeing their kids happy was enough to satisfy them.
For a moment, she hoped that time could stop when she was staring at Charles and the kids.
After lunch, Charles took a rest and bought the clothes for Nancy. Then they went to the TV station with the children and looked for a professional videographer. Charles specially asked Nancy to wear a wedding dress, and he wore a straight white suit.
The two children stood beside them like happy little angels.
"Daddy, Mommy, are you getting married?" Nadia asked innocently.
"No, this is only for the video," Nancy explained.
"Daddy, Mommy, when will you get married?" Bobby asked.
Charles looked at Nancy.
"Why are you looking at me? I don't know!" Knowing what Charles meant, Nancy immediately blushed.
She was absolutely not sentimental. She really didn't know.
After the shoot, the videographer showed the video to them excitedly. "Mr. Fu, what do you think of this video?"
In the video, the four of them looked so happy.
It could be described in one word: perfection.
"Perfect!" Charles complimented.
The director came over and asked with a smile, "Then we will broadcast it like that. Is that okay with you, Mr. Fu?"
Instead of answering, he turned to Nancy and the kids. "What do you think?"
While watching the video, she answered, "I think it's good."
Nadia nodded and echoed, "It's good!"
"Okay, that's it!"
The director grinned from ear to ear when he heard this.
"Okay,"
replied Charles. Done for today, Nancy thanked the crew.
"Uncle, will our family be on TV tonight?" Bobby asked expectantly.
"Yes, of course!" The director wiped the sweat on his forehead and said, "Kids, you'll see yourselves on TV tonight. Our show is called 'Family'."
Feeling excited, Nadia clapped her hands and said, "Okay, Daddy, Mommy, let's go home and watch TV now!"
As she was confused, Nancy couldn't help but frown. "So soon?"
"Very soon. We will broadcast it first!" replied the director. In agreement, Nancy only nodded.
As soon as everything was settled, they drove home.
Along the way, the children were chattering, laughing and playing at the backseat. Nancy felt happy that they had spent the day together.
When they arrived at home, the two children rushed to turn on the TV.
"It's not the time yet. Why are you so excited?" Nancy took off her coat and hung it up.
"Mommy, Grandma said that as long as a man and a woman get married, they will have a baby soon. After you and Daddy get married, you will also have a baby soon." Nancy's eyes widened in shock. No wonder Doris didn't dare to pick them up. It turned out that Bobby hadn't forgotten about this matter!
Helpless, she tried to explain, "We are not married yet."
Frowning, Bobby replied, "When are you going to get married? Aunt Doris is already pregnant. I'm in a hurry!"
"What? Why are you in a hurry?" Nancy was flabbergasted.
"Yes, Mommy. I've heard from the TV that being pregnant is painful. Is the reason why you don't want to marry Daddy because you're afraid of having a baby?" "No." Nancy shook her head.
"Then why?"
Feeling like her head was going to explode, she looked at Charles. "Answer this question. I'll be at the kitchen!"
Being anywhere else was better than with the children and had to answer these questions.
"Your shoulder is injured. Let me do it!" Charles didn't want to answer their questions either.
"It's okay. My shoulder is recovering. I can cook now." As she spoke, she had put on her apron. "Daddy, tell me, why hasn't Mommy got pregnant yet?" Bobby continued to ask.
"Wait a minute, kids. I bought you some books. I'll get them right now," Charles said and ran out.
Soon, he got the books from the trunk of his car.
"Daddy, what kind of books did you buy?" Nadia asked curiously.
"Yes, I remember Uncle Jay said that Daddy bought us a lot of comics. Daddy, let me see what kind of books they are!" Bobby asked curiously.
