Chapter 217 It's Really Her
When Charles and Nancy were about to leave, Bobby opened the door and walked out of Nadia's room.
"Daddy, Mommy..."
Nancy rubbed Bobby's head and said, "Well, you are such a good boy. Go back to your room and have a rest. II
"Okay, Mommy. Good night, daddy."
"Good night."
After saying goodnight, Charles and Nancy walked towards their room.
They thought Bobby went back to his room too.
To their surprise, he followed them. Charles asked him curiously, "Bobby, what are you doing here?"
"I want to see how Daddy and mommy give birth to a baby. It's been a long time. Why isn't Mommy pregnant yet? I need to supervise you!" If what Bobby said wasn't embarrassing, Nancy could've said he looked cute when he crossed his arms and glared at them.
Nancy's face immediately turned red. She helplessly looked at Charles, because she didn't know how to answer the child.
Charles bent down and looked at him. "Bobby, making a baby is an adult's business, and children can't get involved. If you are really curious, I will hire a first teacher for you. Do you think it is necessary?" His voice was gentle yet serious.
He felt that children now were more mature and curious. As a father, he found it difficult to explain these things to Bobby.
Although Nancy was a doctor, it seemed that she couldn't educate Bobby in this matter as well.
"There's no need. Daddy, let me have a look," Bobby insisted.
He just wanted to know how he and Nadia came to this world.
But why did Mommy blush?
It seemed that Bobby wouldn't quit till he got what he wanted. "Bobby, don't be so stubborn, okay?"
Charles raised his voice, trying to get Bobby back to his room.
But it only made Bobby angry. He grabbed Nancy's hand and glared at him. "Nadia is asleep. Tell me, how can Mommy get pregnant?"
"Charles, you go to the guest room first." Facing such a stubborn Bobby, Nancy had to get rid of Charles.
"Okay, I'm tired. I'll go to bed." With a sigh, he walked to the guest room.
Of course, he didn't want them to sleep in separate rooms. But in order to avoid Bobby's questions, there was no doubt that leaving was the best choice for him.
"Don't let daddy go to other rooms. I won't look at you, okay?" Although Bobby was curious, he was willing to give up when he saw his Daddy walk out.
"Bobby, daddy went to the guest room not because of your curiosity. Mommy wants to read a book and doesn't want daddy to disturb me. You support mommy's work, right?" Nancy carefully explained. "But I really want a younger brother or sister. What should I do, Mommy?" Bobby said reluctantly.
A small smile spread across her face. She picked him up walked to his room. "Good boy, go to bed. Mommy has to work tonight. If I am disturbed again, I won't be able to finish it. If I don't finish it, I will be punished by President Hobart tomorrow. You don't want mommy to be punished, right?"
"Yes, Mommy, but..." Worry was still apparent in his eyes. He wanted his mother to give birth to a younger brother or a sister for him.
Nancy interrupted him in a hurry, "Mommy is really, really busy."
"Okay, Mommy." Bobby compromised.
Nancy put him on the bed and kissed his forehead. "Good night, little champ."
"Good night, Mommy."
As soon she closed the door behind her, her smile faded. She let out a sigh.
Whoosh!
As a doctor, she was so nervous that she sweated just now.
She went back to her bedroom and picked up a professional book to read.
As a doctor, she had to learn all her life. Moreover, she was also obsessed with studying. The moment she picked up the book, she had forgotten everything else.
However, from the corner of her eyes, she saw a silhouette at the door. It must be Bobby, right?
Charles was much taller than him.
What she saw was just a small figure.
Feeling helpless, Nancy frowned.
It seemed that the two children really needed a good teacher to teach them all this.
She continued to read in silence. After two or three times, the little figure disappeared. Finally, Bobby got sleepy and went to bed.
The door was pushed open and Charles came in.
When Nancy was about to say something, he motioned her to keep silent.
He closed the door gently and tiptoed to the bedside. "Nancy, I wanted to come here just now, but I found Bobby peeping at the door. Do you think there's something wrong with the child's mentality?" "Don't talk nonsense. How could a little child have a mental disorder? He is just curious." Both of them kept their voices low.
"Go to bed. It's late. I have something to ask you."
"Okay." She put the book down and lay down.
Charles was softly brushing her hair with his fingertips. "Tell me, how did you solve the matter today? Is Boyd insane or did someone do it to him?"
"Someone did it. And you can't guess who it is!" said Nancy.
"Um... Your competitor, Jessie, right?"
He had been working in the business world for a long time, so he was used to the competition in the workplace.
Nancy's biggest competitor in the pediatric department was Jessie.
"Keep guessing!" She took her phone.
"Is it Anna? That woman has just come back. Why will she give you a hard time? It makes no sense. She hasn't gained a firm foothold in the hospital yet. How could she have the time to frame you?" "She is arrogant and she came from a wealthy family. Her father is the boss of a big company, so when she came to the hospital, she regarded me as her opponent, so..." Until now, she was still clueless about the real reason why Anna did it.
"Nancy, what do you need me to do? As I've said, I'm always your strong support. You can depend on me. Tell me, how should I help you?" he asked worriedly.
Knowing that she was tired from all her hard work in the hospital, he didn't want her to deal with these problems herself.
She was really wronged!
With a sly smile, she said, "As I've said, I have to solve this matter alone. You don't have to help me. You're already tired from taking care of the children, so let me handle these matters myself." "You are so confident. Can you tell me how you will solve it?" He kissed her on the cheek.
Nancy clicked on the phone. "I have an evidence to show you."
She turned on the recording and put it in his ear.
His face hardened.
Anyway, he was the biggest shareholder of the hospital now. And he didn't expect that someone dared to do bad things in the hospital.
His jaw clenched. "Nancy, who is this woman?"
Charles was not familiar with Anna's voice and didn't recognize her instantly.
Nancy's face became serious. "It's Anna."
