Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 203 Nonsense

"Humph, do you think I don't want to? It's him who doesn't want to see other women." Angelina rolled her eyes at him.

"I can help you find a woman," offered Joseph.

"How could you know any good woman?" Crossed arms, she looked at him in disbelief.

It was true that Joseph knew a lot of women, but Angelina thought only a few of them were decent.

Therefore, she didn't like them.

"Auntie, don't say that. I know a lot of women, and there are good ones among them!" Why did she look at him like he was not capable of having decent friends? After she staring at him for a few seconds, she replied, "Okay, find me one some other day."

"Okay, that's a deal!"

She calmly folded the newspaper and put it in the box.

Meanwhile, Charles was trying to talk to Nancy about the notice. "What? Don't you want to say anything?"

"I don't have anything to say. It has nothing to do with me. You can date whoever you want. You can leave if you want. I won't stop you," said Nancy nonchalantly.

Disappointment crept in when he heard her answer. "Am I that unimportant to you? Don't I have a place in your heart?"

"Right now, nothing else is important to me but my children. My heart belongs to them." Although she was affected by the news, she kept a stoic face.

"How cruel you are!" Charles felt a heavy blow in his heart.

Sometimes, he felt that Nancy was like a gust of wind. The more he wanted to catch her, the more he couldn't.

This made Charles feel bad.

No words came out his mouth, but his heart was crying in pain.

Around three o'clock in the afternoon, Doris came to pick up Nancy. She was wearing a short dress. She had been pregnant for two months, but her figure was still alluring.

Her eyebrows raised when she realized that Nancy didn't even bother to change her clothes. The latter didn't even put on makeup.

"Are you seriously attending the reunion like this?" Doris threw her a disdainful glance.

"I don't see anything wrong with my clothes, Doris. It's not like I'm attending a banquet! What do I need to dress up for?" Nancy just took off her white gown and combed her hair. "Okay, you are beautiful, all right?" With a smile, Doris put her hand on Nancy's shoulder and walked out.

When they went downstairs, a white Bentley caught Nancy's attention. It actually stood out among the other cars in the parking lot.

Nancy had a hunch that it was Doris', so she turned to her with curious eyes. "Whose car is this?"

Sure enough, Doris proudly replied, "Mine."

"Oh, you have a new car!

Congrats!" joked Nancy.

"It's from Jay. I didn't ask for it." She was about to open the door when Nancy came over and asked for the keys.

"Let me drive. You sit at the back."

Doris sat at the backseat. "Nancy, what's going on with the news today? Why is Charles still asking for a marriage? What does he want?"

Nancy started the car before she replied, "It's Angelina who did it."

"What about Charles? Didn't he explain it to you?" asked Doris.

"Yes, he did. He told me not to take it seriously." A faint smile crossed upon her face.

Her phone rang right after she spoke.

"Speaking of Charles, here he calls." After she cleared her throat, she answered the call. "What? You went on a blind date?"

Although it was supposed to be a joke, jealousy was still evident in her voice.

Charles frowned. He didn't want to disturb Nancy, but it suddenly occurred to him that Ethan was Nancy's classmate. So was Jerome.

These two men had a crush on Nancy. If Nancy drank too much...

The more he thought about it, the more worried he became. So he called Nancy.

"Do you need me to pick you up today?" Even after what Nancy said before she left, he still cared for her.

"No, thanks," answered Nancy.

"No?" His voice was gloomy.

All of sudden, Nancy felt a little strange. As a decisive person, Charles had never pried on other's business. What was wrong with him today?

"No, thanks. I'm with Doris. If you want to go on a blind date, just go. Don't worry about me. I won't be jealous." Well, it was only half-meant. Even now, Nancy already felt jealous.

"Nancy, don't try to take revenge on me. You have to remember that you are a woman with children and a family. You should be on guard at all times at the party. Don't get too close to men, especially to those who have a crush on you. You'd better stay away from them, okay?"

Nancy was shocked. Charles was really strange today!

She thought he was being unreasonable.

What did he mean?

"Okay, I'll hang up if you don't have anything else to say. "What he said was driving him up the wall.

"Do you remember what I said? Hello?" Her eyes rolled as Charles continued to ask.

When Nancy couldn't stand it anymore, she ended the call.

"Charles cares about you, doesn't he?" Doris had been listening to the conversation. It was the first time that she had witnessed Charles being garrulous.

"Well, he's strange." Her forehead creased in confusion.

Fortunately, they weren't the last ones to arrive at the hotel.

When they walked in, everyone surveyed Doris from head to foot.

"Ah, Doris' dress looks very expensive." "Well, it must be a fake." "Yes, I remember that she used to wear ordinary clothes back then. This woman must have no money. Why is she pretending to be rich now?" No one knew that Doris got married with Jay, so these people didn't know how she was able to afford luxurious things.

Kathy and Tina approached them.

"Oh, you two are here. Come and sit down!

"You look so beautiful today, Doris," Tina complimented.

"It's just a dress." Doris sat down.

No one bothered to talk about what Nancy was wearing, so she sat peacefully next to Doris.

At this time, Ethan came in.

"Hello, everyone. Sorry, I'm late." With a smile, he greeted everyone.

"Wow, Ethan is here. I remember that you were the first one to chase after Nancy when we were still studying, right?" Kathy said with a smile.

"Yes, and the first one who wrote a love letter for Nancy!" Ethan joked.

Doris smiled. "It's all over. Why are you bringing it up?"

"I still remember how Nancy tore up Ethan's love letter!" Kathy continued. The other people looked at each other and lowered their heads.

"Stop it." Ethan got irritated.

He didn't know why Kathy had always been against Nancy.

"Kathy, the reason why you are against Nancy is that you have a secret crush on Ethan, right?" Like she didn't reveal someone else's secret, Doris took a sip of wine casually. "What?" Kathy's face immediately turned red.

"Well, I won't talk about it. But I do apologize if I ever offended Nancy." She poured herself a little red wine. "I propose a toast to you, Nancy!"

"There is no need to say sorry. Ethan is single now. If you like him, you are free to pursue him," said Nancy.

She sincerely hoped that Ethan could get the love he deserved.
