Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 159 So Many Things She Doesn't Know

In order to get rid of the chatter of the family, Charles and Bobby moved in to Nancy's house.

Nancy didn't want them to move in,

but what else could she do?

First, she was too busy. Second, she also wanted to stay with Bobby.

She didn't know what would happen.

What she was sure of was, it would be difficult to be on the bad side of the Zhuang family.

If Drew got angry,

no one knew what he would do.

Just as she was thinking, she received a call from Frederic.

He wanted to meet her

by the lake near the municipal hospital.

Not bothering to change her clothes, she went to the lakeside in her white gown, which made her look more spirited and professional.

He stood under a willow with a cane and watched Nancy strode towards him indifferently.

She was too smart, which was a virtue to others' eyes, but in the eyes of the old man, it was a flaw.

Mr. Frederic..." Nancy spoke reverently.

"Call me Grandpa." He looked away. "Do you know why I wanted to see you?"

"About Charles? Grandpa, I can't do anything about it. You should go to your grandson!" Even after several attempts of breaking up with Charles, he still didn't listen. He followed her like a pain in the ass. "Yes, I understand." Frederic looked calm. He was not forbidding and there was no antipathy in his eyes. 'Tm not here because of your relationship with Charles. I came here for you."

The mood shifted as he looked at her.

However, Nancy didn't even flinch. She bravely met his eyes and said, "You can just say it. I'm listening."

"Dorothy is the only daughter of Drew." Frederic heaved a sigh. "The wealth of the Zhuang family can't be compared with the Fu family's, but business is not predictable. We'd better not make enemies! Do you get what I mean?"

Of course, Nancy knew that.

She knew that Frederic wanted her to persuade Charles to forgive Dorothy.

"I can give it a try, but I can't guarantee that it will work." She was aware of the fact that once Charles made up his mind, it would be difficult to change.

Therefore, what she could only do was to give it a shot.

"You are very smart. As long as you put your heart into it, you will surely change his mind. Because you are the woman he loves the most."

What Frederic said caught her off guard.

If he believed that Charles loved her, why did he try every means to stop them from being together?

A lump formed in her throat with this thought, but she quickly got over it. "I will do my best."1

"Our lives are not as simple as you think. A small mistake can lead to a disaster. I hope you can understand my good intention," said Frederic sincerely. Although Nancy didn't understand, she didn't ask either.

There were so many things in the business world that she didn't know.

But from what he said, even the people who came from a rich and powerful family might have their own miserable stories too.

So, she nodded respectfully.

Silently, Frederic stared at her for a few seconds. "Nancy, thank you for calling me 'Grandpa'."

At some point, Nancy thought she saw tears formed in his eyes.

It must be an illusion.

The sadness in Frederic's eyes never left her mind, which made her restless for the whole afternoon.

To be honest, she was uncertain whether she could persuade Charles to let Dorothy off the hook.

But since she already made a promise to Frederic, she had to do it.

While she was thinking of ways to convince Charles, she heard his voice coming from the kitchen. "Don't bother Mommy. She is very tired from work. Be good!" The children rushed to her. "Mommy! Today, Bobby gave a flower to a girl and he got scolded by the teacher." Nadia had been saying the same thing recently. Absentmindedly, Nancy giggled.

Although Bobby was still a kid, it was normal for him to have a crush, so she let him be.

"Nadia, don't tease your brother. Tell mommy, do you have any friend you like?" Her hand was gently rubbing her daughter's head.

"I don't," Nadia answered honestly.

"No, she is lying. Mommy, there is a boy called Bunny with big ears. Haha..." Bobby was grinning from ear to ear.

"I won't talk to you anymore if you keep talking nonsense!" With her arms crossed, she snapped on her brother.

"You two can't quarrel. You are not good kids!" Nancy coaxed the children.

"Come on, let's eat." After putting the food on the table, Charles urged the kids to wash their hands and have dinner.

While they were having dinner, Nancy was quiet.

"It's your favorite. Come on." Charles sensed that Nancy had something on her mind, so he asked, "Did Jessie look for trouble?" What worried him most was that Nancy was bullied by Jessie.

"No, she is fine today," Nancy answered halfheartedly.

"Anything else?" Charles asked again.

Because she didn't want him to lose his appetite, she replied with a sigh, "Let's talk about it later."

After dinner, Nancy asked the children to take a bath and go to bed early.

Charles observed Nancy quietly.

He could tell there was something on her mind.

"Mommy, I'm not sleepy." Nadia furrowed her eyebrows.

Since her father and Bobby moved in, she always went to bed early.

It was frustrating!

"Children have to sleep early so they would grow taller." With a smile, she took Nadia to her bedroom.

When the door closed, Nadia went to bed and tried to sleep.

"The kids have gone to bed, so it's time for you to tell me what's on your mind, isn't it?" said Charles.

Instead of answering directly, Nancy came over and hooked her arms around his neck. "Do you have an idea?"

Charles raised his eyebrows. "Seldom have you been so active."

"Ahem!" When being seen through, Nancy was a little embarrassed, so she said weakly, "People have physiological needs. It's not strange!"

These words were uttered against her will.

Because ever since Charles and Bobby moved in,

she was tired every night.

In daytime, Charles was a modest gentleman, but in the evening, he was an absolute beast.

It was difficult to guard herself against him.

"Well, then it's time for me to satisfy you, my lady." His arms found their way to her waist.

A cunning light flashed through Nancy's eyes. Her fingers gently brushed through Charles' neck. "Charles, has Dorothy been in prison for several days?"

That was all she said, yet she saw how the fire died down in his eyes at the mention of it.

'Well, she does have something on her mind.

Dorothy again!

Either Grandpa or Mom went to Nancy.

It must be the case.'

When she was done talking, Charles pushed her aside and went to Bobby's room.

"Hey, Charles!" Nancy followed him hastily, only to find that the door had been locked inside by Charles.

It seemed that Charles wouldn't let go of Dorothy this time. She sighed in defeat.

How should she reply to Frederic?
