Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 101 You Don't Understand

"You are a woman, Fannie. How do you know what's in Charles' mind. Can you see through him? You don't understand! Shit, you don't understand!" Caspar threw back the covers and got off the bed worriedly. "Where are you going?" Fannie was truly confused. She had done a good thing and wanted to please him. She thought she would get appreciated for her efforts, but this man wasn't happy at all. Instead, he even blamed her.

Did she do something wrong?

Didn't he want Jade's shares? Now he got it, but why was he still unhappy?

The man was such a jerk!

Caspar turned his head and said coldly, "Fannie, let me tell you something. Charles is still unmarried. That means, as long as he is not getting hitched with another woman, Nancy still has her chance. In another word, as long as Charles is unmarried, we can't afford to offend Jade and Nancy!"

"Well, are you still in love with that Nancy? Caspar, let me tell you. You're a bastard! You think that what you couldn't lay your hands on, what was unachievable to you to be the best. That mentality is pure filth. Is Nancy as pretty as I am?" Fanny said provocatively.

Caspar sneered, "Well, in my eyes, she's nothing better than you. But I have to admit that she's smarter than you!" "Caspar, are you praising me or cursing me?" Fannie yelled at him.

"Think about it yourself!" With that, he opened the door and walked out.

"If you want to leave, leave, but never come back!" Fannie threw a pillow at him, but it was too late to stop him.

Nancy just woke up the next morning.

She opened her eyes slowly and felt an unusual warmth in her palm.

She turned her head and saw that it was Charles who took her hand.

Yes, he had been here last night.

But, did Dorothy knew about this?

Would he try to hide it from her? If Dorothy didn't allow him, would he have come here?

These questions brought a total mess to her mind. She sighed and tried to pull her hand back.

She moved, but her hand was still grasped.

"You're awake?" said Charles, looking at her gently.

His voice was gentler than his eyes. Nancy's heart suddenly sank.

"Yes. You have worked hard. Just have a good rest," Nancy said and smiled apologetically.

"I'm not tired. Aunt hasn't woken up yet. The doctor said that she has a cerebral hemorrhage. It isn't that serious, but has caused some damage," Charles said, thinking for a while. Nancy sighed, "What I don't understand is, when I left yesterday, she was fine. But after a while, she..."

Nancy's face darkened and she bit her lips.

"Jill and Fannie had been here with your father. They took away your mother's shares. I guess your mother couldn't stand it, so..." Charles wanted to say something but stopped on a second thought. Nancy rubbed her forehead painfully. "Why did they do this?"

"People in this world are different. You can't understand their sins with your kindness. What are you going to do with them?" asked Charles, lifting his hand and putting a few strands of hair behind her ear. Nancy sighed and closed her eyes sorrowfully. "Can I get my mother's shares back?"

"As long as you want, anything is possible," Charles said firmly.

"Will they let go?" Nancy asked weakly.

"It's not up to them!" Charles said determinedly.

Nancy nodded. She didn't want to be cruel to anyone. Nor did she want to make things difficult for anyone. She just wanted to get her mother's shares back because they were her mother's lifeblood. "You didn't ask anything about Nadia?" Charles asked curiously.

"Didn't you say you have asked Jay to take her away? And you also said you wanted me to be rest assured." She acted like a spoiled child.

"What? What else did you overhear?" Eavesdropped by Nancy, he felt a little embarrassed.

Nancy flashed a cunning smile. "Why are you afraid of me hearing you? Did you speak ill of me?"

Charles breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that Nancy hadn't heard his sentimental words.

But what he didn't know was that it was Nancy who didn't want to embarrass him on purpose.

As an overbearing man and a powerful CEO, how could Charles show his gentleness in front of others? Although he had changed a lot now.

"I didn't speak ill of you!"1 Charles smiled.

Well, it was as bright as a sunshine.

"What do you want to have for breakfast? I'll buy it for you," Nancy said as she stretched herself.

"Do you think you will be able to walk now? Do you have any strength?" There was still a dull pain in his leg. He couldn't walk much now. "Okay, no problem!" Nancy gave him a funny look.

"Fine, I'd like doughnut stick and soybean milk," Charles said at once.

"What?" She didn't expect him to enjoy such a normal meal.

"What? You have a problem with that?" Charles asked coldly.

"No! Not at all." Nancy got off the bed and supported Charles with her hand. However, she felt a little dizzy. Then she held his shoulder.

Just at that moment, the door opened and Dorothy appeared.

Nancy blushed and drew her hand back hurriedly. "Miss Zhuang?"

Dorothy stared at Nancy's hand, her eyes shining with malice.

With a beautiful smile, she said softly, "I heard that Miss Ning was not feeling well, so I come over."

"It's just a small trouble. I'm sorry to bother you," Nancy said in a polite and distant tone.

"You are the sworn daughter of Auntie Angelina, and I grew up with Charles. I am also almost her daughter, so we are sisters. Miss Ning, please don't be too polite or formal to me." Dorothy's words sounded sweet.

However, deep inside, she was filled with different thoughts.

Dorothy was wary of Nancy, and as a woman, she was sensitive.

She could feel that Charles liked Nancy.

Thus, when she just woke up this morning, she rang up Charles.

Unfortunately, it didn't get through.

Then she called Angelina, who told her that Charles went out last night and no one knew where he went.

'Go out in the middle of the night? He had just left the villa of the Zhuang family.

It was so late. Where could he go?

His leg isn't completely recovered yet. In that condition, who could let him go out in the middle of the night?'

The more Dorothy thought about it, the more uneasy she became. Panic-stricken, she decided to ask Drew.

"Father, do you think that Charles doesn't love me anymore?" she asked with a sad face.

"Why do you say that? He was very enthusiastic last night," Drew said casually.

"But he went out again last night after he went back. Nobody knows where he went. I tried to ring him up, but couldn't get through," Dorothy said angrily. "Don't be silly, girl. You shouldn't hold a close watch on a man. Besides, you do know, Charles is not an easy man," Drew said with a smile.

"I think Nancy has a feeling for Charles. I'm afraid..." Dorothy wanted to say something but stopped abruptly.

"Do you want me to check if Charles has actually gone to see Nancy?" Drew frowned slightly with a hint of worry on his face.
