“It’s been months already. We had a deal, Raya. I did my side and gave Maliya to him without taking a dime. She might be useless but if she was here, she would still be able to do a few things. I should at least see the reason why I sacrificed my 

mate. 

Prince Kane’s breath raged as he thought about all the promises they made for him, and how they won’t even acknowledge him, not to talk of keeping to their end of the bargain.

Maliya was her stepsister so she knew her better than anyone. If her guess was right, she was already imagining how Maliya would keep getting into trouble because of her inability to follow orders. 

“So what do you plan on doing now?” Raya asked and Prince Kane went to sit down while he thought deeply about it. 

He raised his head up to look at Raya as an idea popped into his head. 

“I am going to visit the Lava pack and remind Alpha Xander of has promise. That is the only way I’d know where I stand in all of this. If he planned on keeping his promise, he would say it if not, I will also know how to re–strategize, he announced. 

Raya thought about it for a while before haking her head. 

“I’m not sure that is a good idea. What if he gets mad? We all know how Alpha Xander cherishes his privacy. Going there without a prior announcement might annoy him,” Raya tried to reason with him but Prince Kane only flared up.
