I found it hard to understand what the seer was saying and all 1 could do was stare at her. This doesn’t make any sense. Why were her words contradicting the words of the first seer I spoke ? 

Shouldn’t they be saying the same thing? I knew there was going to be a slight difference which was why I asked them to come in one after the other in the first place, but I didn’t expect things to be that different. 

“Can you clarity what you are saying in case of a misunderstanding? Because I do not understand how the woman carrying my child would bring any kind of harm to me,” I pointed out. 

The more I thought about it the more confusing it became. Why would a fragile woman like Maliya be a threat to me? Her life is at my mercy and all it would take was an order from me to get rid of her completely. What harm could she possibly bring? 

“That was why I said everything is complicated in the first place. You see, this woman possesses a special power. Perhaps, she is not aware of it yet, but it happens.” 

This harm you are talking about. Is it going to be on me or on the unborn child?” I asked, still trying to comprehend what she was saying 

“I don’t know how exactly it’s going to happen, but what I am seeing right now is blood. Death is hanging around her neck and it might not end with her alone, she paused and I waited for her to continue. 

There is a chance that she is going to endanger your life too,” she finished and for a moment, I want to believe this woman, had no idea of what she was talking about. 

“What are they talking about?” I gave her a confused look as she continued. This doesn’t make any sense. Why would Maliya be a threat to me? 

“She will bring a lot of chaos and destruction to the pack. Don’t get me wrong though, I cannot guarantee you that what I am saying is one hundred per cent sure, but the chances that the vision will not come to pass is very slim.” 

I wanted to ask questions but I can’t even think of anything right now. This was far from what I was expecting and I suddenly became tongue tied. 

In a nutshell, is she trying to tell me that Maliya is a stroke of bad luck? If she isn’t, why else would there be a high chance that her presence would be chaos and destruction? 

All these while, my worries hadn’t passed the possibility that the child wasn’t mine or maybe she wasn’t even pregnant, and 

now this? 

“How about you confirm if she is really pregnant and if it really did belong to me? If I am going to make any decision, I need to know what is at risk,” I pointed and the seer smiled. 

“It is true that you are impotent, and no miracle has happened to cure your illness,” she said. I knew nothing had changed.. but I wished my ability to conceive wouldn’t lay in the hands of a particular woman 

“If you get intimate with any other woman it would have been like a mere exercise with no result,” she said and I watched her to see where this was going 

All I needed was a yes or no.

If I am still impotent, is Maliya really carrying my child? I need an explanation to make sense of everything that is happening.

Chapter 33 

“Does that mean the child is pot mine? I asked impatiently and the shook her head. 

“Like I said earlier, she is a special one so yes, she is indeed pregan with your child, but it doesn’t really matter, not when she is disastrous.” 

I have heard what I wanted to hear, but I can’t tell if the other eys that comes with it was something I was looking forward

“You can leave for now,” I ordered and she gave me a polite smile before turning to leave. 

I was left to myself when the last seer came in and at this point, wasn’t sure if I wanted to listen to the same story once again, but I didn’t ask him to leave either. 

He bowed to show his respect and I acknowledge him with a not 

“Have a seat,” I said and he smiled gracefully before coming to sat the exact place the other seer sat down. 

“Thank you, Alpha. I am honoured to be here today. If you don’t mind me asking, can I know how to be of help to you?” He 

asked 

“I am infertile and as we speak, a woman claimed to be carrying my child. I need to know if truly the child is mine and what miracle happened because she isn’t the first woman that I have been with, but this is the first time something like this is happening” I explained. 

At this point, I don’t know if I should be excited about the baby or worried about Maliya anymore. 

After listening to the second seer, I had any doubts, but since the words of the first seer were a bit different, I wanted to hear what this one too would say. 

The seer nodded and I wondered if he knew what he was doing as I watched him chant his incantation. 

He went on and on, taking longer time than the other and each time, he would look at me as if he couldn’t understand what he was seeing, and shake his head before he would continue to chant some incantation again. 

I was starting to become impatient as I tapped my feet on the floor waiting for him to speak up but each time, he kept frowning his face. 

I wanted to snap at him and tell him to go ahead and say whatever he was seeing but I don’t know if it will affect his divination if I distract him so for once in my life, I learned to be patient. 

After what seemed like forever, he finally stopped chanting his incantation and heaved out a deep sigh. 

“What is going on? What did you see?” I frowned. 

“This woman in question and yourself are quite similar, Alpha, he started and I gave him a confused look. 

“Similar in what way?” I frowned.

I hate how slow he was and not getting straight to the point like the others. If he sees anything out of the ordinary, he should just speak up without trying to be dramatic. We are not doing do drama here. 

“All your life, you have always wanted to belong but were never accepted and in return, you were always treated badly,” he said, reminding me of my past. 

“Okay. I pushed, getting impatient to know where this was going. 

“She was exactly the same. She has to struggle every day of her life, moving from one problem to the other. The cycle was. like an unending one.”

Chapter 33 

He paused for a while as if he was still communicating with his spirits before he continued to speak. 

Just like you have prayed to the moon goddess in bitterness, asking for power, this woman also prayed for strength when she was at her lowest, he explained. 

I understand what he was saying so far. I prayed for power and the moon goddess answered my prayer and today. I am the most powerful Alpha that lives. 

What I still don’t understand is the kind of strength a weak worn like Maliya possesses. 

“Can you explain so that I can understand?” 

“This woman was born on an auspicious day, the day of the lunar eclipse and that is why she is a child with a special effect. Do you finally understand now?” He asked as if that explained everything. 

To an extent of does, but the words of the seer that just left were still ringing in my head. She is disastrous. She is going to bring chaos and destruction to everyone around her. 

What I was yet to understand was how such a fragile girl would bring harm to anyone. 

The seer was oblivious to my thoughts and he continued with his words. 

“Truly, you might be impotent, but sleeping with that woman changes everything. She is your cure, but.. 

He trails off and I send him a look, urging him to continue. 

“But what?” 

The Seer went quiet again and released a sigh, making me anxious. Maybe the second seer wasn’t wrong after all. Seeing how he was hesitating, I could tell that whatever it was he wanted to say wasn’t good enough. 

“Don’t keep me in the dark. But what? Is she someone I can keep close or not?” I asked again and his eyes fell on mine. 

“All I see around here is darkness, Death surrounds this woman and it is inevitable. He announced.
