Sir, Let’s Divorce Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Victoria hid in the storage room.
The liveliness outside the private room had nothing to do with her. She curled up in a narrow and dark corner, listening to the people outside celebrate Anya’s birthday.
Peering through the gap in the door frame, she was struck by the vivid colors of the outside world, a stark contrast to the confined space she was in.
One was lively and the other was desolate.
Ever since Anya came to her house, the liveliness had always been Anya’s, and only desolation had been left for her.
First, Anya won over her father who had always loved her, then it was her friend, and now even Matthew….
She actually wanted to ask Matthew, today was also her birthday, could he not remember it?
Inside the private room.
Anya’s face was red and she was obviously very happy.
She had dressed up specially today, wearing the latest gardenia white dress from Karey Original. With exquisite nude makeup, she looked like a little fairy with a plain face.
“Anya, make a wish!”
Under the contrast of the birthday cake candlelight, Anya’s face became more and more bashful.
She put her hands together and looked at the slender, elegant man beside her. She whispered, “I hope that Mr. Shadwell can always get what he
wants…”
Matthew only stood by the side indifferently. When he heard his name, he raised his eyes and looked over.
His eyes were as deep as the depths of the ocean, making it impossible to penetrate, yet irresistibly drawing people in.
He sauntered up to her, a smile plastered on his face, yet it gave off the impression of insincerity. “Looks like you just wished for something involving
me.”
“Yes.”
“I hope that Mr. Shadwell can always get what he wants.” Anya showed a look of a little girl.
“What do you think I want?” Matthew smiled faintly.
Anya lowered her head and smiled shyly. “No matter what Mr. Shadwell wants, I can give…”
She suddenly grabbed his hand and said earnestly, “Mr. Shadwell, I’m already a grown–up woman from today onward. You took that medicine today. but you weren’t willing to touch me. I know you think I’m too young… But from today on, you don’t have to look for other women to fix it. I heard the women outside aren’t clean. But I am, and I’ve never had a boyfriend…”
She knew that declaring her purity at this time was very degrading, especially in this era. But she still had to gamble that a man like Matthew would
feel pity for her because of her purity.
As long as a man like Matthew could touch her, he would be addicted. There would be no woman who did not want to capture him.
Matthew did not have any reaction, but Victoria in the storage room clenched her fists.
She laughed at herself.
So that was the case.
He sent her the text message today because he didn’t want to touch Anya, but instead used her to vent his lust.
Victoria gritted her teeth, but she was clearly the same age as Anya, and even their birthdays were on the same day.
How ridiculous.
Less than a month after her mother passed away, her father remarried. He led the daughter brought in by her stepmother and asked her to call her younger sister.
Victoria, fragile and sensitive due to her mother’s death, was resistant to the mother–daughter pair likely to be the result of her father’s infidelity. Her father, in turn, gradually distanced himself from her.
From then on, she learned to withdraw her sharp edge.
Victoria’s oxygen supply was dwindling, initially causing her to feel constricted, but now she was feeling increasingly uncomfortable.
Her breathing became uneven, and she even had an illusion in front of her.
An indescribable sense of panic swept through her body. She instinctively patted the door in front of her. “Help…”
Chapter
The subtle noise disturbed the liveliness in the private room.
“Who is calling for help?” someone shouted first.
