Sir, Let’s Divorce Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Matthew yanked off her jeans with brute force and pressed his large palm against her back. Upon seeing the unsightly thermos cup in her hand, he nonchalantly pushed it away.
“No, this soup has been cooked for a long time…” Victoria immediately struggled.
The man impatiently made a “tsk” sound, but he still made it to place the thermos cup safely on the ground. “Are you satisfied now?”
He then patted her slender waist, as if he could snap it with a slight exertion, and uttered in a gruff tone, “Bend down.”
At the end, Victoria almost couldn’t lift her arm.
During this time, she could only push herself against the glass table and look at the cigarette in the ashtray. She gritted her teeth and didn’t say a word. She knew that this was not a happy time between a loving couple, but more like a one–sided venting from Matthew.
Victoria felt his body burning hot, clearly out of his control. The force was so powerful that she wanted to cry out and flee, yet she was held back forcefully by him.
She was lying on the sofa, and a coat was thrown over her head.
“Put it on.” The man’s voice was cold. The hoarseness caused by the drug effect had faded a lot. It sounded calm and quiet.
Victoria threw away his clothes, picked up the white short–sleeved shirt on the ground, and put it on without saying a word. However, when she was wearing jeans, she did not move again.
The zipper of her pants was torn, and it could not be pulled up at all. She used all her might, only to break it apart.
She looked up and met the man’s playful gaze. “It seems that you want to go out naked.”
Victoria had no choice but to put on his suit jacket.
Fortunately, he was more than 1.8 meters tall, and the coat was so big that it was scary. It wrapped her whole body tightly.
Victoria tidied her disheveled hair and tied it into a low ponytail. The redness in her eyes dissipated. She looked at him serenely. “Matthew, did you summon me here just to help you untangle this drug issue?”
She waited for him at home for several hours, just due to his words that he wanted to drink soup, but in the end, he called her over just to do that kind of thing…
“What am I to you? A plaything at your mercy?”
The man was already dressed in a white shirt, his long fingers were clearly defined, and he slowly buttoned the last button.
“You should know my situation just now, or do you want me to find another woman to vent?” He looked at her from high above, and his tone was indifferent.
Victoria clenched her fists and then released them. Her voice was faint and indistinct. “… How am I different from those easy girls in your eyes?”
She seemed to be asking him, yet it was almost as if she were posing the question to herself.
After three years of marriage, apart from solving his physiological needs from time to time, she did not look like Mrs. Shadwell at all.
She was his assistant, his nanny, his bedmate who he could use for free whenever he wanted, but not his wife.
What was even more ridiculous was that other than themselves, no one else knew about their marriage, including their parents.
There was a faint noise outside the private room.
A familiar female voice asked, “Where is Mr. Shadwell?”
It was bustling outside, and it sounded like a group of people.
Victoria could tell that the woman leading the group was Anya Mills. The others were all students from A University, but they were studying in different schools.
The emotions that she had gradually calmed down were stirred up again. She looked at the man in front of her in disbelief. “You’re with Anya again?”
“You can leave now,” Matthew said impatiently after tidying up and ignoring her questioning.
“Why do you treat me like this? You can stay with anyone. But why does it have to be Anya?” Victoria did not leave as tactfully as usual.
A dark shadow pressed down, and she saw the man’s sudden change in expression.
With his strong arms on top of her head, Victoria looked up and saw Matthew’s dark eyes and his frighteningly deep voice. “Since I can stay with anyone, why can’t it be Anya?”
