Chapter 276

As soon as Millie walked away, she ran into Simon. She greeted excitedly, “Hi, Simon.”

Simon was surprised. “Mills, you’re here too?”

“Rachel forced me to come here. How about you?” Millie asked.

“Do you know Rachel?” Simon was shocked.

Millie pouted. “You must be joking! Rachel is my best friend, and we’ve known each other for years. I’ve seen her rise to a superstar firsthand.”

Simon chuckled and said, “Then I have a favor to ask.”

Millie pondered what favor he would like to ask.

“The endorsement contract with the endorser for our jewelry store has recently expired. We’re

seeking a new celebrity to represent our brand.

“Rachel is a highly suitable candidate. But her busy schedule has made it difficult for our company to secure an appointment with her. I was wondering if you could introduce me to her?”

“It’s a small matter. When Rach is available, I’ll ask her to join us for dinner, so you can discuss it with her. But I can’t guarantee that it’ll work out. I respect Rach’s choice,” Millie

said with a smile.

Simon was appreciative. “It means a lot to me that you take the time to arrange a meet–up for

1. us. Thank you so much!”

They were engaged in lively conversation, sharing laughter.

Not far away, Winston watched the two in silence, his hands slowly clenching into fists inside his pockets. The people around him were all anxious.

His subordinates figured that they were really divorced. Otherwise, how could a couple just nod when they met? The way Millie and Simon got along with each other was more like a couple than with Winston.

“Mr. Greer, should we go in first?” the woman asked cautiously.

Winston was visibly upset. He looked away unhappily and hummed in response.

The moment Winston stepped into the venue, he immediately captivated the gaze of numerous female celebrities and the boss’s daughter.

Given Winston’s infrequent attendance at such events, people seldom had the chance to catch a glimpse of him. Thus, a wave of excitement would ripple through the crowd whenever he showed up.

After all, his visage easily outshone that of many male celebrities in the industry. Hence, male celebrities would normally try to avoid encountering him.

Moreover, Winston’s status and influence within the industry make him the ultimate fantasy for many female celebrities.

Now that Winston was divorced, everyone was vying to win him over. Everyone was curious to know who would ultimately capture Winston’s heart.

Millie entered the venue with Simon. She was wearing a very simple outfit today. As everyone was focused on Rachel and Winston, nobody noticed her. Hence, she grabbed a piece of cake

to eat in the corner.

She glanced at Winston, noticing that the group of people that had gathered around him moments ago remained by his side. They attracted a certain level of attention, consistently drawing eyes wherever they went.

Female celebrities in the scene were especially keen on approaching him. They tried to act reserved because of their status, but their curiosity about Winston was obvious.

Of all the female celebrities, the one in the yellow dress stood out the most. She continuously snapped pictures with her phone and took selfies.

Millie smiled and kept eating the cake.

At that moment, a woman decided to take the initiative and approached him. “Mr. Greer, I’m Margaret Lancaster. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

She was a sexy female celebrity. She was dressed in a black bodycon dress. Margaret extended her hand, eagerly attempting to initiate a handshake with Winston.

Winston smiled faintly, but he disregarded her extended hand. “Hi, I’m Winston Greer.”

Margaret couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward. But then again, the person right in front of her was Winston. Thus, she couldn’t complain much. It was a great honor for her that he would talk to her.

Winston was engrossed in conversation when he suddenly noticed a pair of intense, burning eyes. As he turned around, he found Millie staring at him. Furthermore, she was eating watermelon at the same time.

Millie blinked before taking another bite of the watermelon. This was the first time she had witnessed a woman openly flirting with Winston, not as his wife but as a mere observer. It was truly quite interesting.

Winston was at a loss for words. She seemed to be watching a show as if it didn’t involve her.
