She Was Tamed

Chapter 53 - Throwing Tantrums

Jada woke up to Lyken's broad chest as soon as she opened her eyes. He's sizzling hot. 'Since when did he become like this?'

She smirked, thinking that he was working out to attract more girls. She rolled her eyes at the thought and hit his chest as she pushed herself off the bed.

"Ouch! What's wrong with you?" he snapped, his brows knitted. Jada just glared at him with pouted lips. "Baby, where are you going?"

"I'm going to poop. Do you wanna join me?" She then pushed open the door to the bathroom and got in.

After responding to nature's call, she decided to take a bath. She stepped out with just a towel wrapped in her body. When Lyken saw that, he immediately snaked his arms around her waist. Still irritated, she brushed him. He refused to let go at first, but he did it himself when Jada's phone started ringing.

"Hi Ma!" she greeted. It was Mama Vane.

"Hi, my sweetest daughter, we're going downstairs. How about you?" she asked in return.

"You go ahead, Ma! Lyken's here," she giggled. She picked up her suitcase, placed it on the bed, and started packing.

"Ah, really? Wow, dear, you really are a goddess!" she teases and bids her farewell.

Lyken helped her pack, and when they finished, he started packing his stuff too. He only got a duffel bag with him, so he finished quickly.

They went to the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel to personally thank Mama Vane and her co-models, and to bid them farewell at the same time.

While Jada was talking to the woman, some of my co-models tried flirting with Lyken. The asshole, on the other hand, can't stop smiling as if he's enjoying all the attention given to him. When Mama Vane let go of her, Jada turned on her heel and headed to the exit. She didn't even bother calling Lyken, as she was already starting to be irritated.

"Ja!" he called after her when Lyken realized that Jada had already left him. But she didn't bother looking back.

She just went straight to the car that was waiting for them by the entrance of the hotel. This car was supposed to be for Mama Vane, but she let them have it to take them to the airport. "Why are you here? I thought you wanted to stay there," Jada asked sarcastically as soon as they were both in.

She crossed her arms over her chest and looked out the window. Jada has to contain her anger, or she might punch him right now.

Lyken chuckled as he inched closer to her, resting his head on her shoulder. "It's too early to be jealous wifey~"

"Wifey, my ass!" then she shook her shoulder so he'd get off it. "Don't make me your test subject, Fontanilla. It's not funny!"

Jada didn't talk to him even after they boarded the plane. She was still irritated at what he did last night, and now, he annoyed her more.

And because of that, he won't let him in on her secret. She won't tell him about it even if he wrings her neck. 'Damn you, Lyken Fontanilla!'

When she finished eating the dinner served to them on the plane, she forced herself to sleep. After 12 hours, they finally landed at Centro Airport.

While waiting for his car, Lyken pulled out his phone to call someone. Jada quickly got into the car as soon as it arrived. She didn't even wait for him to open the door for her. "Baby... can you please not be mad? It's not funny anymore," he stated.

Her eyes flicked to him, "Wow! My apologies then if I annoyed you!" She spat before turning to face the window.

Lyken lightly massaged his nape as he let out a frustrated sigh. "Please, Ja, I'm really sorry," he pleads.

Jada didn't respond. Instead, She focused her attention on the view while he focused on driving. She was thankful when he didn't talk again.

After thirty minutes on the road, she noticed they were going in a different direction. They're not on the way to her condo.

'Heck, is he going to kidnap me?'

Meanwhile, Lyken was worried. He doesn't want to spoil his surprise for her, but Jada's mad. He's been trying to coax her since they left her suite, but she's stubborn. What's worse was that she got jealous of her co-models who talked to Lyken earlier. It wasn't his fault. He was just being friendly and that is why he smiled at them. When he tried calling her wifey, she took it negatively. He wanted to tell her he wasn't practicing, but she snapped at him, so he chose to shut up.

But, of course, he has to stop himself from saying anything. He planned this perfectly, so he won't be the one to ruin it.

Lyken wants his proposal to be perfect, one she will remember. He wants Jada to talk about this proposal to their kids and their grandkids in the future.

Yes, kids and grandkids. Lyken wants a huge family, and he's sure that's what she wants too since they both have no siblings.

If possible, he wants them to have at least eight children. But, of course, it will depend on her as he wouldn't want to risk her health.

Until they rode the car, she would still snob him. He wants to get irritated too, but he can't. Lyken has to stay calm, or they'll end up fighting.

After almost an hour, he noticed that she wouldn't stop looking from window to window, uneasy. Jada's starting to suspect that they're not heading to her condo. 'Just play dumb, Ly. You've already rehearsed this. Calm down!'

"Where are we going?" she asked without glancing at him.

"Baby, I know you're mad at me, but please, let's eat first. I didn't have dinner while we were on the plane. I missed breakfast too."

"We're going to eat? There were tons of restaurants at the airport. Why didn't we eat there?" she asked.

"Ja, those are all fast food and coffee shops. Those won't do!" He insisted, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"And where do you plan to eat?"

"Toledo!" he exclaimed, glancing sidewards, grinning. "Kobe and I discovered this restaurant near the highlands, and their food was to die for!" he informed her.

Lyken gave himself a pat on the back when she believed him. After what he told her, she didn't ask anything more.

He knows she's tired. Tired from the event, after the event party, they left late for the airport, irritated when they left the hotel, exhausted from the travel. So Lyken's aware she's not up for an argument. However, she stayed quiet the whole drive. Lyken glanced at her. She was still looking out the window. A few minutes after, when he glanced again, she was already asleep.

They were still on the road when Kobe called. "Where are you guys?" he asked, even before Lyken could say 'hello.'

He looked at Jada to confirm she was still asleep before responding, "We're at Yuncos, dude. I didn't expect traffic will be this heavy on weekends. Are you all there?"

"Yeah, man, we're complete!" he informed him, his tone almost going falsetto when he replied.

"Thanks, man. Just wait for us and give my apology to everyone, especially Jada's parents," Lyken told him as he intentionally lowered his voice.

"Who was that?" Jada asked as soon as he ended the call.

Cold sweats started breaking on her back as he tried his best to hide his uneasiness. "You're not mad anymore, baby?" he asked sweetly. He deliberately ignored her question. She didn't respond and just pouted. As they were in red light, Lyken cupped her chin and forced her to face him. "Ja, I'm sorry. Please forgive me..." he pleads.

Finally, she nodded at him, still pouting. "So, who called?" she asked again. Lyken almost facepalmed. He thought she had already forgotten about that. "Oh, that was Kobe. He's just asking where we are," he told her. That was the truth.

"Where are they?" she asked again.

"At your condo, of course. Kobe said they're waiting for you, but I told him we're going to Toledo first to eat."

She just nodded at him before leaning her head back. They're still in the middle of traffic. If only Lyken could make the car fly, he would.

As they got near the venue, he started feeling nervous. The closer they get, the more anxious he feels, and if it continues, Jada might find out about the surprise.

He needs to make sure he stays calm and make sure to visit the restroom before they get started. If not, he might end up messing up his plan.
