MARTHA'S POV

I woke up early to prepare myself, this is the day of the Grand Auction and I know anytime Mr Ashton's people will pick me up.

Grace told me that I will be assisted by his people to prepare me for the event.

"Martha, they are people looking for you outside"

Jan said when he enters my room.

"Coming! Just tell them I will be there in a minute"

I said to Jan who is looking confused at me, I can't tell Jan about my sideline, I mean I know once Mr Mando found out about this I will be doomed!

Mr Ashton's secretary, bodyguards and driver picked me up so right away we head to the hotel where all the hired hairdressers and image stylists will work for my attire is there.

We are now here at the Selene prestige hotel if I am not mistaken this hotel is a 7th-star hotel in the country, I am really stunned to stay here even for a while, Mr. Ashton must indeed rich!

As we stepped inside, I am really amazed by the interior design and the whole structure of the lobby; it's like a late French era cultural style.

Before this event, Grace already told me where I will be staying and so I took a little research about this hotel, I have read that this hotel was named after the owner, but I didn't get to look for the image of the owner but base to what I have found she is a pure-blooded French and owns a lot of business in the country.

While I was busy looking at the whole structure of the lobby, the secretary approach me.

"Ms Martha the room is on the second floor, all the hairdresser and image stylist is waiting for you, let me lead you there ma'am"

When we get to the room, all of them are ready for me, from the hair stylist to the image artist, to the attire specialist are all lined up to fix me but what makes me excited is the stunningly gorgeous red dress that is waiting for me, good thing my swollen back is already healed.

Right there and then they start to fix me for the event, my make-up, my hair and my attire to look elegant for Mr Ashton.

"You are indeed beautiful Ma'am, we don't need much further makeup for you as you have a natural beauty"

The make-up artist said looking all smiles at me.

After a minute, I am now ready and fixed; they said I need to go to Mr Ashton's room for him to meet me and so they lead me there I suddenly felt nervous.

As we enter the room, I handsome face and a nice aura of a man who appears in front of me.

"Wow! I didn't know you were prettier than my ex-Girlfriend!"

He said upon seeing me, I suddenly felt shy with the way he look at me; I can see how he is amazed when he sees me.

"Ahem. Thank you, sir"

I replied wearing blushed cheeks after that, we then ride on his limousine to get to the event, while on the road, we had small talk.

"How I wish this all will work, how I love to see her jealous again"

He said staring outside with sadness in his eyes.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened? Why did you both split up?"

I ask shyly, I am not sure if he will answer me but it is fine if not, I don't expect it but he looks at me and then start to talk.

"Hmm well, she just decides on it and I can't... I can't do something about it, but I know... I know she still loves me and so I want to win her back!"

He said sincerely and I can see his love for her, I feel sad if all this doesn't work, well I will do my best to make her come back to him.

"People who know what real love is doesn't deserve to be hurt, I guess we need to teach her a lesson, she can't just dump people anytime she wants, but the most important is, to love yourself first more than anyone" I said looking straight at him.

"Thank you, Martha, I'll take note of that, maybe yeah, we can teach her a little bit of lesson she needs to learn"

He said with a smile and a series of small talk about ourselves until we finally get to the event place.

ALVUERO-MONDRE CONVENTION

SELENE'S POV

Wearing a silver mermaid cut dress with diamond linings; I am now prepared to meet the members of the Elites Society organization.

I have taken down all the sectors and new generations of this organization, I know what kind of businesses each member has.

My target is to get the 70% share that Senior David will put into auction; this share is the sum of all stocks under the line of their family.

And for that, I am all aware that they already know what I am up to.

Once I get the share I will be the next chairman of the Elites Society which I always wanted.

"Sen, are you sure that you will get it?"

Gust asks since he knows how clever David is.

"Watch and learn Gust, we will get out of here bringing that"

I said with my devilish smile.

MARTHA'S POV

When we get into the convention hall, everyone is looking elegant and gorgeous; I can't deny that I am now mingling at the event of the richest and millionaire people in the country.

The main auction will be held in a VIP hall and before we enter I breathe out air big time to calm myself and then hang my arms to Mr Ashton.

As the door opened, all their eyes were buried on me, some offer to shake hands trying to know me and others kissed me on the cheeks as a greeting until we have our table and Mr Ashton pointed to where his ex-girlfriend is. She is wearing a blue elegant fitted dress and the way she acts and moves, I already know this kind of woman so I have figured out what I should do next.

Most of the guests were introduced to me by Mr Ashton especially the most gorgeous of all, she is tall and vibrant the actual owner of Selene Prestige Hotel.

"She is Selene Alvuero Mondre the founder and owner of the Selene prestige hotel"

Mr Ashton said that nailed my eyes on her, If you will look at her, she looks young to be the owner of the hotel, I guess the world is turning different now, likewise, as the owner of the mall, he is so young as well.

My eyes were buried on her, her elegance and the way she wear her dress is really admirable, while I am busy looking at her she suddenly throw a glimpse at me which make me stumble and almost spilled my wine. I suddenly got chills and quickly turn my eyes somewhere just to avoid her.

On the other hand, Mr Ashton's ex-girlfriend is keep looking at me and I guess I already hit the fire up! Hahaha!

The auction starts and we are all settled at our tables, I told Mr Ashton that I have a plan to teach his ex-girlfriend a lesson.

I head to the washroom first then remove my silver clip from my hair, it's not that cheap but not so expensive to be part of the list of items in the auction but since I know how things work here; I have put it on the list!

As I head my way out of the washroom, I stopped seeing Ms Selene in front of me, I am suddenly stoned in a second but reality hits me when she opens her mouth.

"Nice dress Miss?"

She asks while looking all smiles at me.

"Martha"

I replied feeling nervous in front of her.

"Ashton must be so proud of his new girl"

She said in a European accent, I just really love the way she talks, I feel like I was deaf for a second and just remain standing like an idiot in front of her.

"See you later Martha"

She said again then walk away I almost forgot what I needed to do for Mr Ashton as I was intimidated by Selene's beauty, still, I gained my composure and head back to the auction room where Mr Ashton's ex-girlfriend keeps staring at me so I just give her a brow up and a slight of rolled eyes.

"The Auction will now begin, the first item is the elegant hairclip that was made from the tiny lines of diamonds and emeralds, the amount will start at one hundred thousand, any bidder?"

The host said to start the bidding.

"Two hundred thousand"

I confidently said as I raise my card.

"Three hundred thousand"

Suddenly said by Mr Ashton's ex-girlfriend which made me smile, she is now biting it!

"Five hundred thousand"

I said then throw a mocking smile at her.

"Six hundred thousand"

I was shocked when Ms Selene suddenly joins the bid and then gives me that meaningful look.

"Seven hundred thousand"

Now it is the ex-girlfriend again.

"Nine hundred thousand"

I bid again and I can see that Mr Ashton is now showing a little smile, he knows my plan already.

"1. 2 million"

Again it is Ms Selene, I'm kind of worried she might ruin my plan oh god!

"1. 3 million"

I said again and now I can see confusion all over Mr Ashton's face, a smile turns to confusion so I just smile at him giving him an assurance look and I guess he got the message. "1. 5 million!"

Said his ex-girlfriend who even shout her lung out and that is exactly what I want! On that part, I stop myself from bidding and I can see the questioning look in her eyes looking at me trying to wait for me to bid again but I just responded to her with a devilish smile.

After the auction, the party continues and right now I can see that the ex-girlfriend looks miserable, I guess she already realized that what makes her win will make her lose, she has now drowned herself in alcohol and can't even move properly going to the washroom.

And for the final round of my plan, I followed her to the washroom and make her understand that the clip she won from the bidding worth 1.5 million is only 250 pesos.

"You... who do you think you are?"

She said looking pissed and drunk while staring at me.

"I'm Ashton's friend and you are?"

I sarcastically answer in cross arms.

"I'm her girlfriend you bitch"

She replied and was about to slap me when I quickly avoided it, in return she flip herself into the sink as she was out the balance herself when she is attacking me.

The clip from her hair dropped on the floor, her eyes widened seeing her very expensive hair clip got broken.

"Oops... you broke it; well it doesn't matter... because that clip was worth only 250 pesos"

I said smiling wide at her which made her look at it again who can't believe what I said?

She almost cries her lungs out knowing that her 1.5 million hair clip was only 250 pesos!

After seeing her miserable look, I guess my work is done here and so I manage to go out of the washroom.

Mr Ashton gives his sincere thanks; he said he wants to win her back but knowing and learning his worth as a person he realized that he deserved more than having that woman.

After the event, Mr Ashton give me as a gift all the shoes, pieces of jewellery and dress that I used at the event and also send my payment to my account.

ELITES SOCIETY AUCTION

SELENE'S POV

"The Auction for the 70% share stock of Chairman David is now open, bid starts at 20 million pesos any bidders?"

The host said starting the bidding, this auction is only for VIPs so it is separate from the one earlier which what I find very amusing, the battle between two women over that hair clip, that woman in the red dress is seriously amazed me for some reason.

"Forty million"

"Sixty million"

All the bidders start to raise their cards.

"20 Billion dollars"

After someone says that no one raises their card as everyone knows it is a seriously large amount until I raise my bid.

"70 Billion dollars"

I said and I can see Gust just smirk at me.

"A-Any more bidders?"

The host said while getting startled due to the amount that I bid.

No one answered and raise their cards so the 70% percent share is now sold to me.

While claiming the document of shareholdings, the senior David suddenly approaches me.

"Ms Selene Alvuero Mondre it is my pleasure to meet you, well the thing is, this auction is only for the member of the active elite and I guess you are aware of your absences for some time"

Senior David said looking straight at me.

"I carefully read the terms and conditions of the auction and I have not read anything stating that it is only for active members, it clearly states that it is for all the members"

I smilingly responded that change his reaction.

"Just tell me what your plan Selene; you may not want to fight the Elites if I were you"

The senior David said with his warning tone, I can see the fear in his eyes now that the 70% shares are now in me which means, from this day on, I am now the new chairman of the Elites Society organization, I have now all the rights to do everything I want.

"Hahaha... should I be scared now David? Are you threatening me? Well, I don't think so you know, look, from now on, I am removing you as a member of elite society! See... that's how you treat someone! Do it with power!"

I said wearing a sarcastic smile while holding the documents and walking away from the hall.

MARTHA'S POV

I changed my clothes first before heading out of the hotel, I don't want to go home wearing that dress, so I decided to just wait for the taxi in front of the hotel when a luxury car stops in front of me and I was shocked to see Ms Selene inside as she let out her head and smile at me.

"Hop in, let me bring you home"

She said and I can't seem to respond as I was shocked by her gesture toward me.

"Oh... hmmm thank you but I'm okay, my taxi will arrive soon"

I said even though I am scared since she will notice that I am not really what she thinks I am joining that kind of event and wearing such a beautiful dress.

"I am going to offer you a job, now can you hop in?"

She said that makes me confused, job, oh god, this is the thing that will surely make me yes every time though the way how she approaches me is a little demanding, somehow it puts me wonder what kind of job is she going to offer me, for that I decided to get in and now my eyes do only one thing, looking straight at this gorgeous woman beside me.

"Don't you know that staring is rude"

She said which brings me back to reality and turns my eyes away.

"W-What kind of job is it?"

I suddenly ask to divert the scene.

"Let's go to my house first then we can talk"

She seriously said that makes me feel really nervous well I guess I have no choice now but to agree since I am already here inside her car, so then I keep myself quiet until we get to her house.

As we arrive, her butler and I think her assistant is waiting at the door; they guide me going to Ms Selene's room where she said we will talk.

I quietly sit on her couch and waited for her, minutes pass and she came back wearing only a V-neck shirt with fitted jeans and a messy bun of hair.

"Come here, Martha"

She said while facing her large wardrobe that my mother used to have back in the past.

"Choose..."

She said which surprised me, I mean she wants me to choose from her clothes... I find it weird though it seems I really need to pick one so I have no choice but to do what she said.

"This looks good"

I said as I hand her the cocktail dress I pick, now she holds my hand and let me stand in front of the mirror while fitting the dress on me.

I stiffened and swallowed my throat when Ms Selene whisper in my ear which suddenly gives me chills.

"Suits you right"

She whispers and I can feel her breath on my neck, her scent is so addicting, then she lets me sit again on her couch and hand me a glass of wine.

"If you will be given a chance to be me one day, will you grab it?"

She suddenly asks while sipping her wine, I am kind of confused as to why I should be like her, I seriously don't understand.

"It is such an honor to become like you, who wouldn't want it?"

I honestly said, well who wouldn't want to become a beautiful millionaire woman, everyone I guess would say the same as I did.

"Then I believe it's a yes for you"

She said in a very serious but calm tone, I don't know what she is up to but I start to feel weird about her question so I ask her straightforward instead.

"What do you want me to do Ms Selene?"

I ask straight into her eyes when she suddenly leans closer to me and whispers...

"I want you to become Selene tomorrow, be me for just the whole day"

She said widening my eyes, I feel shocked at what I just heard.

"W-Why? What for?"

I confusingly ask while still shock all over my face.

"I have a set meeting with my clients from Singapore, but I can't go, I have many important matters to do though I can't disappoint these clients so you will just get the contract and other documents from them that they are supposed to give me don't worry they are not aware of my appearance so they will expect you to be me"

She explains that makes me understand it more though I am confused why suddenly she picks me for this.

"I get that, but... why me?"

I seriously ask and she just looks at me for seconds then speaks.

"Simply because you are good at this, pretending to be someone that you are not"

She calmly said that surprised me.

"H-How did you know—"

I said but she cut me while I am avoiding her eyes.

"I met a lot like you in the past, but you are the best, I don't judge people like you, it's just a matter of job and so do this job for me, Martha"

She said seriously which I guess she doesn't take no for an answer so I surely have no choice but to agree.

"Your payment will be processed by my assistant Gust, so if you have questions better ask him,"

She said without even waiting for my response, I didn't even say yes to her but then she had already headed me home by her driver.

Seriously, I feel something about this job, but what can I do, she already assumed and expected me, gosh! I hope I can do this job well!

When I got home, upon entering my room, I felt dizzy at some point, I don't know if I am just tired and sleepy maybe I so I decided to have some air by opening my window.

At the very dark part of an electric post, I feel like I saw someone standing at the top of it while staring at me but it is impossible who would have done that?

I try to blink my eyes maybe it's just my imagination and when I try to look at it again, it's gone...

SELENE'S POV

"Do you think she won't realize it?"

Gust asks talking about Martha.

"She is a smart woman I know she will eventually"

I said while standing near her window, Gust is about to say something when I ended up the call and remain standing in front of Martha's house here in this electric post.

"Who are you Martha.... why do I feel different about you?"

I said while looking straight at her window.
